The inhaled steroid Flovent® (fluticasone propionate) has a half life of around 5 hours, so it would be totally out of your system in a few days. The inhaled long-acting bronchodilator Serevent® (salmeterol) has a similar half life, so it would be totally out of your system after 5 days.

It could sometimes be due to the medication. As fluticasone propionate causes irritation of the nasal mucus membranes. i went to the same doc again he gave me steroid cream Fluticasone propionate to be applied for two months from now on!! It is used to treat secondary infection..!!
The reddish rashes disappears when i apply Fluticasone propionate cream continuosly!! if i discontinue the cream! then the reddish rashes are occuring!!

I take Spiriva Respimat (tiotropium bromide) 2.5 mcg/actuation, and Wixela (fluticasone propionate salmeterol inhalation powder) for my COPD. Is there a sequence I should be taking these meds in? Is there a time frame I should use between the two meds?
I'm also taking Fluticasone Propionate and have the very same issue. I think it's because the nasal spray dries out the nasal cavity. At first, I started having bloody noses, but then that stopped and this current symptom started. My doctor had said it may make the nose very dry and to try saline solution once daily after the Flonase. I have yet to do that, but it's supposed to help. Hope that helps.
To my knowledge Advair® (fluticasone propionate and salmeterol) has not been linked to strokes. Have you heard anything about this in the lay press?
I take Advair, (Fluticasone propionate / Salmeterol) once a daily inhaled. My asthma is not controlled without Advair, but is stable with one dose daily. I would like to take Harmine alkaloids (Harmine, Harmaline), but I'm not sure if Salmeterol is safe to take with Harmine alkaloids as they are MAOI (reversible MAOI however) are they safe to combine? I am on Plaquenil 400mg Metoprolol Tartrate 50mg BID, Proventil HFA 2puffs every 4 hours, Flovent Diskus 250mcg (started one week ago), Nasonex, Augmentin 875 BID. I have had no problems with my cardio selective Beta Blocker prior to catching this cold. My peak flows are still in the High Yellow Zone and I am maxing out on my rescue inhaler and I haven't been on the Flonase long enough to provide control. But I am not wheezing...just stuck in the yellow zone anywhere from 360-390...
