Normally my symptoms are pressure and tightness above my eyes, especially above the right eye. To get rid of it I start out with Claritin-D then if needed flonase, saline sprays, and Ibuprofen. They don't seem to give me complete relief. I have had this problem for long time. As I mentioned in my last post, when I am away from my home area (southeast Michigan), I feel a little better. Such as, when I travel south to other states, or east to Toronto area, I feel better.

My lung doc said I had severe allergies to dust mites and I have put covers on my mattresses and pillows and taken my claritin and flonase and it seems to make a difference. But since I had to move heavy mattresses and did a lot of vaccuming my neck feels tense. I have had this problem since I got my new carpet cleaner and all the other problems. Could this all be due to an injury?

You can also try an over the counter antihistamine or allergy pill like Claritin. I know this sounds crazy but this cleared my issue up that I suffered with for almost 3 years. Please try it and let me know what you think!

Hi there, I have a similar condition where if my post nasal drip start my asthma starts and I was on Flonase, Singular, Claritin and nothing Seems to work.. have you been treated yet?

I took Flonase and Zyrtech or Claritin. You can also take Benadryl.

As soon as I feel it coming on and my ears feel stuffy I pop a Claritin, some Flonase and ibuprofen if it comes along with sinus press again. So far its working but need to go for allergy shots because these allergies have just progressed over 20+ years from just hay fever to hay fever and allergic rhinitis to hay fever and allergic rhinitis plus now dizziness. This has got to stop!

this has been happening for like a week now...but the chest thing jus started yesterday. when i take claritin it all goes away except for the chest weezing. i dont really have trouble sleeping but i do wake up to blow my nose and stuff. whats wrong with me?

I asked my pharmacist today because I have the same allergy issues - je said Lortadine OTC is perfectly safe (Claritin) just NO Sudafed or Psuedaphedrine (Claritin D or Allegra D). He also said my Flonase is safe. I take both on bad days, but I also diffuse OnGuard Essential Oil which helps tremendously as well. Hope that helps you!

He also has albuterol inhaler and Flonase. However, it does not work sometime like the last 2 nights. The flonase really made it worst so I stop. Family history: My sister & dad have rhinitis. My mom has chronic cough and her PCP said it’s allergic (don't have detail check-up). What kind of test was done? CBC checking eos? IgE? Blood RAST? or skin *****? Skin ***** is by far the most specific and accurate. Blood RAST is specific, but many times it gives false positives and false negatives. Since the dr brought this up on examination I would definitely believe youare allergic as drs can tell by looking at your sinuses, eyes and throat. I would recommend that you make sure that your dr is giving you immunotherapy. Some drs call steroid shots allergy shots.

First diagnosis was sinusitis with treatment of antibiotics, daily Claritin and Flonase. No relief. Still having pain, mostly in the jaw area. can mold allergy affect the trigeminal nerve? To me it did not get any better I went back to the doctor and got an XRAY -- sinus appeared clear . I did not feel any better and the doctor started me on Flonase and Claritin OTC. About a week ago I had excruciating headaches (facial) and have now been diagnosed with T.N.

My son is 5. Back in the spring he started making this really loud noise, a cross between a throat clear and a cough. It lasted a couple months, got better. Then this summer, it came back. Somedays are worse than others. We tried allergy meds (Flonase and Claritin) and it didn't get any better. We were back to the doctor who listened to his chest and said that she could hear a definite wheeze.
