Try to avoid Afrin type nasal sprays, I cannot confirm if they are safe during pregnancy or not, but the issue with this type of spray is that you can only use it for a few days at a time. Long term use of Afrin nasal spray can acutally cause your congestion to get worse, so it's only recommended for 2-3 day use and that's for normal, non pregnancy use.

No worries! I've had 2 sinus infections and this past wk a kidney infection, the flu and pneumonia. Was hospitalized for 9 days. I've been on major doses of meds and they are all safe for pregnancy! I've also been on Flonase and double dose of the z pack. Along with many other meds. They were all prescribed by my obgyn and they said no worries for anything. Dr's are very cautious when prescribing meds during pregnancy!
Several years ago my doctor told me I had post nasal drip and prescribed Flonase. I use it every morning. But at night I snore really bad. My poor husband has really bad sinus issues, worse than mine but he doesn't snore half as bad as me. But when I wake up in the morning I have so much mucus in my throat and I can't cough it all up, just some. My nose isn't too bad in the mornings but it gets worse throughout the day.
I've had this for about 4 years. Dr. says to use Flonase daily, so just started it. I think it might be from sinus but I have no symptoms.
s unfortunate when medication costs so much sometimes that we have to find an alternative. Flonase and Astepro are likely the right names. Flonase is a corticosteroid spray and Astepro is an antihistamine spray. Dymista is a combination medication so it makes sense that the doctor is suggesting the two medications will work as the Dymista did. Let us know how it goes.

This sounds a lot like me! I also use Flonase, but it doesn't take care of all of my symptoms. Two things that I've done to remedy my sore throat: Oddly enough, during a visit to an Ear/Nose/Throat specialist, I was told to take prilosec, once in the morning and again at bedtime. This helps calm the effects of allergy drainage, which can upset the stomach and cause a sore throat. The other thing I do is take 1200 mg.
Flonase...isn't that addictive?? Just use a netti pot. I think there are low dose zinc lozenges and supplements. I'd get a 2nd opinion r research more, but imho & recent experience: sore throat came on and went away on its own. So how about just trying a little extra water and orange juice, or squeeze fresh lemon into warm or hot water? Would you give your baby flonase for stuffy nose? If not, don't use it for yourself either. Think about the fact that you can have a baby...

This means that the ANTIGEN itself can be detected, not the ANTIBODY, correct?? I'm at 7 weeks post-exposure; so you are saying that the viral load test, RNA PCR, will still detect the virus directly at this point, correct??
This time, my symptoms were a slightly scratchy throat, a very dry throat, and most noticeable, a very bad breath. I purchased Flonase and started using it 4 days ago. I use it every night and my sickness has seemed to get better. However, the breath is still slightly there. Starting today, a ticklish feeing in the back of my Thais has appeared and I continue to get the urge of wanting to cough.
