But, it started at the height of allergy season. I was just diagnosed with Lyme Disease. Apparently, ear ringing is a side effect of this. So my thinking is that Lyme set my system up with this and allergies are making it worse. I have started watching the pollen count, and when it is high, my ear is the worst. I am now on doxycycline for lyme. Also on allergy med astepro and flonase.
How are you? Tonsillectomy could remove tonsilloliths permanently and thus eliminate the main cause of bad breath. Bipolar Radiofrequency Ablation or Coblation is a procedure that produces an ionized saline layer that disrupts molecular bonds without using heat. This mechanism can be used to remove all or only part of the tonsil. It is done under general anesthesia in the operating room and can be used for enlarged tonsils and chronic or recurrent infections.
org/cgi/content/abstract/134/6/479 When do I need antibiotics for sinusitis, as an adult? Doc! My face hurts on one side and colored mucous is coming out! These are common complaints from adult patients who think they have acute bacterial sinusitis. What people don't know is that it's not common before 7 days of illness, and it's usually best to hold off on antibiotics until symptoms have stuck around for more than a week.
Cough is listed as a side effect of Zestril ..... the medication I was on was a different one but of the same classification as yours. You might ask your physician if you could try another med. There are so many for hypertension. Might I add that my physician's wife (who is also a Doc) had the same problem. Good luck.
The cause of these symptoms is a eustachian tube that remains abnormally open, allowing too much and then too little passage of air to the middle ear space when you breathe. Decongestants, nasal steroids (rhinocort, flonase, nasonex, beconase, etc), nasal saline irrigation washes can all help this problem. Are any of these treatments ones that your doctor is using?
Colloidal silver has been shown to kill bugs in a petri dish. It hasn't been demonstrated to be effective in the human body against infections. The current resurgence and hype of this stuff has sucked a lot of money from desperate people. People who consume this stuff also risk turning blue permanently - search the web and check out some of the pictures, very scary. God bless!
Ruzzi: I share your pain. Have sr-throt, dripping, off/on voice loss for over a yr. Know how to work the system w/Dr's. Did back ofc for yrs. We have a problem I called `I Dunno'! I made it up! You are allowed to have these for `Your Home Health File'.
I tried everything for it, nothing really worked and I always got bad side effects, so just stuck with pain mngmt. During this time I would have odd things during diff. years, such as, one year I had 4 major ear infections, when I never had one my whole life. Another year it was sinus infections and inner ear problems they couldn't figure out, I was so dizzy I couldn't care for my kids.
I too have feelings of being off balance while walking (feelings of side to side or being pushed or pulled). I never stumble and I can walk a straight line but my balance is not as good as it should be(I have also had to do physicall therapy so that is why I know that.
Mine started about five weeks ago and was diagnosed by my doctor as being a side effect with my blood-pressure medicine. When changing to a different one I found that it didn't go away. (mucus in the throat that I can't clear and a need to cough and try to clear my throat until it get's irritated and sore and I lose my voice if I talk much.
I have had ear problems for 3 1/2 years now, pressure, pain, dizziness and frustration with the whole fullness in the ear effect. The EMT says its TMJ and Eustation Tube Dysfunction. I've tried a number of medicines, netti pot washes, nasal sprays, acupuncture...I'm now considering the ear tubes, has anyone heard good things about this?
felt so good, tried other side, and some mucus came out then more blood clots, i can breath a little,, but the pressure is gone, nose bleeding more now, but i feel better. just taped dressing under nose. stitches r itchy and my nose is still sore to touch, these darn tubes gotta go. Friday morning woke up, dry mouth and throat, from mouth breathing as my nose is blocked again. 4:00 am in bathroom doing nasal rinse to help me breathe.. the infected side, gave my mucus/blood mix..
Now I have noticed at times I am not tingling as bad. Also to dont know if its from laying on that side but on my left side my shoulder along the back along with a pinch under the armpit and a lil sore in front shoulder area near chest, I have been freaking myself out about that didnt know if it was a muscle I could of pulled, I have never pulled one there before.
Thanks for responding!! I have tried Cytomel, Hydrocortisone and even Testosterone Injections with little to no help. I went to the Mayo Clinic and they did every test possible and came back saying it was anxiety and depression and had nothing to do with the "possible microadenoma". What strikes me funny is that all along I complained of my right side feeling the worst and it just so happens that's where they "possible microadenoma" was found.
Have found LARGE doses of prednisone help greatly (methylprednisolone, less so), but also cause side effects. Am currently taking Astelin and Rynatan as a steady regimen and Flonase semi-regularly. I am at my wit's end....any other ideas?
On top of that the over load of estrogen has its own side effects. I am still desparate for an answer. I am sure my ENT specialist is able to sleep at night, and function normally during the day so I have to be the one to research this for hours and hours!!
I have neck pain, vision and hearing problems, dizziness, numbness and tigling in the left side. I went to my PC and he said they did see a cyst in my sinus cavity. I knew it was there because of prior scans, but was told it was not a big deal. He said I sould see an ENT. I did last year and was told to use nose sprays to dry it up which did not work. Now the cyst is severe and takes up my entire left sinus cavity.
About 4 months ago I switched from Regular Coke to a Diet, I would say I drink somewhere between 6-8 cans a day of diet coke now. I went on to another site for the side effects and danger of too much Aspartame which is in my diet coke and noticed that those symptoms are what I am having. Also it said some peoples body just can't handle Aspartame.
The technology and knowledge is not advanced enogh, and so when the doctors dont know what's going on they just make youfeel like you are imaging it The sinuses are just on the other side of your brain, separated by paper thin bones, and bacteria can and does go through the bone. The physicians need to take it more seriously. Every time I get an infection I feel like I have to prove it to them. Often I am in misery weeks before they can finally see some pus. It's ridiculous.
I also have severe allergies that play havoc on my sinuses and I'm currently taking Flonase/Claritan-D.
I have severe reactions to medicines ever since I had my twins- so I am afraid to take new meds and if there is a rare side-effect, well, I get it. Please, if anyone out there has experienced what I have -post a note... I can relate. and am frustrated.

My advice would be to have someone check your meds if you are on them in order to see if there is a rare side effect that would cause this.
I am on Lexapro, which is an anti-depressant, and I know that taking such medications have side effects and one of them is excessive yawning. I just want answers and to get my life back on track and my energy level where it used to be. Good luck to all and hope to find the answer to our unusual yawning problem.
I despise all this medication because of all the long term side effects and build up in the body. It was discovered in 2003 that my daughter had low pneumoccal and strep antibodies although she's never had either. She gets bouts of sinusitis a couple of times a year. The immunologist ordered a protocol of 2 flu shots and a pneumonia shot per year to boost the antibodies. The first year, it worked well and she didn't get sick ; however, the antibodies didn't rise.
There's been a lot of press lately on the topic of decreased levels of D in women. Most of what I've read attributes this to sunscreen and adults no longer drinking enriched milk, and listed symptoms include general muscle and joint pain. I guess my doctor is reading the same thing. Ok, I can understand where this can create mild symptoms of discomfort. In fact, some articles state that most women won't even know that are deficient.
