Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with a cyst in each of my maxillary sinuses and a badly deviated septum. I have been dizzy, terrible teeth and jaw pain as well as facial pain and pressure. The dr prescribed Allegra, singular, Flonase and Asteleine nasal sprays. I am not having any relief. I was on the Asteline sir 2. -3 weeks now and the other 3 meds I just started. 2 weeks ago I had a ctscan and it didn’t show an infection. My teeth didn’t hurt then just had a headache and pressure.
Avatar f tn but I always feel some kind of pressure in the left ear. Sometimes, I also feel tightness in my left upper jaw. Apparently; the pain sometimes radiates to my eyebrows. I can clearly feel the difference in pressure during flights. Also, recently I have been biting my own cheek. No other problems as such. When I shut my mouth and nose; and try to blow air out; my left air seems to be stuffed ; but does not seem to be clearing itself.
464237 tn?1315670793 t want the infection to get even worse. How is it ok to use flonase for bacterial infection? Have any of you used flonase for infection. My infection is not allergy related, it came from a cold that was going around. Thanks so much for reading. and yes I have been using nasal irrigation along with all of the other home remedies I have found on the internet.
504569 tn?1210454440 got flu shot on Dec 4, 2013 been sick ever since, started feelling little under the weather, then coughing with crazy unheard amounts of green mucus came up with the cough, lasted for almost a month, then my throat so sore it was almost making me cry, sore throat and ear pain mostly on right side, the pain was feeling like it went from throat to jawbone and jawbone made teeth feel very sore, looked like strings of green pus in very back of throat, pus also in the folds of my tonsils on the side
Avatar n tn First diagnosis was sinusitis with treatment of antibiotics, daily Claritin and Flonase. No relief. Still having pain, mostly in the jaw area. Pain is now getting more severe and moving to overall headaches. I believe I have atypical trigeminal neuralgia as my pain is more constant than abrupt. Any suggestions? Alternative diagnoses?
Avatar n tn //www.rxlist.com/flonase-drug.htm. Is this prescribed to decreases swelling or to attend to the sinus issue contributing to the swelling?
Avatar m tn I've had an upper respiratory infection for about a week. Went to the doctor this morning with severe ear pain, no infection, just inflammation due to the other infection. Was recommended Flonase, rest, and fluids. After I came home and took the Flonase I've had this really weird fizzing sensation off and on at the back of my throat all day. It feels like a handful of poprocks are at the top of my throat/back of my mouth. It's a really weird suggestion.
Avatar n tn It's been awhile since we compared notes. How are you doing now? I just got over some kind of virus and am now having ear, cheek, jaw and between-the-eyes pain again. If I go to a doctor, I'll probably be given an antibiotic, which is dangerous since so many antibiotics close my throat. I've had some really close calls when I almost didn't make it to the ER in time, so antibiotics are quite risky for me. I've tried Tylenol and saline nasal spray...helps only a little.
Avatar n tn I've had ear pressure, not really pain going on about 7 months now. Back when it started, I went to an urgent care center (I was looking for a new primary care doctor at the time) and the doctor there told me it was Eustacian Tube Dysfunction. He told me to take Claritin D and he prescribed Flonase. I started taking/using both, and the pressure eased up a little bit, but it was still there. At that time, I was also experiencing some sinus pressure. That seems to have lessened.
Avatar m tn Other symptoms could be pain in jaw of the affected side, drooling of saliva, dropping of eyelid, ringing in the ear, headache, decreased sense of taste, difficulty with speech, and problems eating and drinking. Though it is not a life threatening condition, it is essential that a neurologist needs to be immediately consulted who would like to conduct electromyography (EMG test), nerve conduction studies and MRI to find out the extent and cause.
1939607 tn?1324289300 I wake up feeling okay and around early evening I get a unilateral sore throat. To be more precise, from the 25th of March until the 1st of April, I kept on getting pain on my left tonsil that radiated on my left ear and the left side of my tongue around the evening. It hurt to swallow, it hurt to talk, it hurt to retract my tongue. Oddly enough, my tonsil did not look swollen and my lymph nodes did not feel "lump-y", even though they are tender to touch.
Avatar n tn To me it did not get any better I went back to the doctor and got an XRAY -- sinus appeared clear . I did not feel any better and the doctor started me on Flonase and Claritin OTC. About a week ago I had excruciating headaches (facial) and have now been diagnosed with T.N.
Avatar f tn Have you been tested for any bacterial infections, like Strep throat? Bad smells are sometimes associated with bacterial infections. If it's not getting better, you should definitely go back to the doctor instead of self-medicating with Flonase. If it's not allergies, Flonase won't help and might make the situation worse.
Avatar m tn //www.rxlist.com/flonase-side-effects-drug-center.htm - which is probably why your doctor said to stop using it. If your cough got better using it, maybe it was helping some allergy symptoms, like post-nasal drip. Did you ask your doctor what he meant, or try to clarify anything? Always feel free to ask questions and clarify anything you don't understand with your doctor.
Avatar n tn Twice in the last six months using Flonase my mouth filled with blood from sinuses. Is another medication for sinusitis available?
Avatar f tn I'm also taking Fluticasone Propionate and have the very same issue. I think it's because the nasal spray dries out the nasal cavity. At first, I started having bloody noses, but then that stopped and this current symptom started. My doctor had said it may make the nose very dry and to try saline solution once daily after the Flonase. I have yet to do that, but it's supposed to help. Hope that helps.
Avatar n tn s unfortunate when medication costs so much sometimes that we have to find an alternative. Flonase and Astepro are likely the right names. Flonase is a corticosteroid spray and Astepro is an antihistamine spray. Dymista is a combination medication so it makes sense that the doctor is suggesting the two medications will work as the Dymista did. Let us know how it goes.
Avatar m tn Flonase is for allergies so it should help but if it continues I would go get tested for allergies. It only takes a few hours and most of the time you'll know what you are allergic to right then and there. If its your cat then, they'll give you whatever medication to help and try to keep your cat away from where you sleep in the meantime. I have a dog and I know that's hard but that is supposed to be helpful. Good luck!
Avatar n tn I have recently been going through all the same sort of symptoms as you have listed, including the jaw pain. I think it is hormone related as I have heard of other people going through it too. I am currently getting tested and may be referred to an endocrinologist shortly to find out if my symptoms are due to early menopause. So if I find out anymore about it, I will let you know.
Avatar n tn I woke up yesterday with horrendous jaw pain (mostly left side). Has anyone experience this? Any suggestions on how to relieve the pain? Or what may be causing it?
Avatar m tn s a very good idea to seek therapy ~ it can make a world of difference in your life! Regarding the jaw pain; clenching jaw muscles can affect your neck and jaw, it is actually a common symptom for many people who suffer from anxiety. If it is extreme, you can ask your dentist for a mouth guard, which can help reduce the pain and also save your teeth from any future damage ( use it at night while you sleep, or if you nap anytime)...
Avatar m tn For about a month now I have had jaw pain under the mandible. Lymph nodes are not swollen and the pain comes and goes. Driving me crazy. Starting to think salivary gland is blocked as my.mouth is a bit dry.
Avatar f tn No jaw pain but now you mention it I've got slightly sensitive teeth. Hope your jaw ache passes quickly.
