Avatar f tn Got the past month I've had constant lightheadedness and clogged ears. I've tried 3 different antibiotics for sinus infection. Also tried flonase, allegra, and Sudafed. Nothing seems to help. I feel pressure mostly in my forehead. I don't have any congestion with mucus or anything. I've had a sinus x-ray, CT scan, and MRI, which were all fine and showed nothing wrong with sinuses. I usually clean my ears out with a q tip after showering.
10404685 tn?1418830427 Yes I did around 15 weeks! My doctor tells me to take benadryl when this happens. She tells me only take half a pill tho. It helps believe it or not.
Avatar f tn got cat scan and the side with knot the lymph nodes and glands was bigger but they said they didn’t see anything wrong .. started to get headaches and ears was clogged up with some numbness in face.. doctor told me to take some Flonase . And said I might need anxiety meds.. he told me he would run blood test just to see if he found anything there.. he said everything was good.. and he really thought I was crazy.. after a while symptoms died down and now they have came back last month..
Avatar m tn After three visits to the ENT, where my left ear was retracted, then both, and finally just the left again - even though they have felt the same at each visit - his latest theory is TMJ. My allergy test came up negative so he crossed that off as a possibility. My question is would TMJ affect the eustachian tubes and cause my ears to pop and retract? Some symptoms do fit - my face tingles from my nose across to my ears, but I thought that was sinus or allergy related.
Avatar m tn My doctor has me on decongestants and I feel better for a while, there is even a dripping sensation in my ears, but the popping comes back. If the dripping were the fluid backup, why does it come back? I had a mild case of tinnitus, stupidly went to a concert, and soon afterward developed this popping noise when I swallow. I was told this was a coincidence, but am finding it harder and harder to believe.
Avatar n tn Hi there, my son is 10 and is experiencing clogged ears. I pull quite a bit of ear wax out after his shower and I was told I might be packing it deeper inside. I am going to take him to the doctor this week but have you tried an earwax remover? I know there are kits that will draw the wax out. My son is constantly opening his mouth as if to try and pop his ears, now its just habit for him to do it. He also said sound is muffled in his left ear.
Avatar f tn My ears feel clogged like when u go up in an elevator. This has been going on for months. Hearing checked out fine . Sounds seem extra loud. I can hear my heartbeat pulsating in my ears. And it’s very uncomfortable when I talk loud it hurts my ears.
Avatar f tn Anybody else suffer from clogged ears? I had some fluid in my ear drained at about 20 weeks and am 37 weeks now and all of a sudden one ear is completely clogged to where I feel deaf in one ear. Anyone have any remedies other than an ent?
Avatar n tn If anybody else has any thoughts on my situation I would love to hear them. I know when you read my posts your initial reaction would be to disregard me but I'm really scared about this. I mean who gets nasal congestion, a string of head colds and clogged slightly painful ears for over two months? Especially when as a 39 year old man I've never had anything like this even remotely. I'm having trouble enjoying my life so please help.
Avatar f tn I have had blocked ears and coughing yellow phlem up for almost 2 months; it's beginning to clear this past week in my ears and the cough isn't as bad. I am taking pseudaphed during the day, benadryl at night and flonase. (Bad spelling) Now my throat is tight and it feels like I am about to get larengitis. Is it getting better or worse; should i keep doing what I am doing.
Avatar f tn This tube can get blocked due to infections of the throat, which can give lead to a feeling of fullness in the ears. This can also result in infection of the ears. The blocked ears can be opened up by the valsalva maneuver, where air is blown into the cheeks against a closed nostrils, this sometimes helps to open up the tubes. Steam inhalations and warm salt water gargles can help clear the tube. Treating the throat infection should help clear the tubes.
Avatar m tn Has anybody had the following symptoms: ear popping when I swallow for over a month now which my ENT says is Eustachian Tube Dysfunction. Recently there is an increased pressure in my ears extending back to under my ears, which I take to be sinus trouble. Could these cause my tinnitus to worsen? I've had mild ringing in my ears for a long time due to noise damage. All these symptoms occurred after a concert. Shouldn't I be able to enjoy some live music?
867954 tn?1356900863 I've had chronic sinus infections pretty much for years. I got a new doctor lately, who is a lot faster at seeing me, etc. Anyway, long story short lately I hear at times a thumping noise in my right ear mainly, it's only happened in the left a handful of times. When it happens in the right, it usually goes on for 24 hours at a time, obviously annoying enough to cause me some loss of sleep, aggravation, etc.

Avatar f tn Flonase, is that for nasal congestion? I have tried it for chronic night time nasal congestion... it "sort of" works. Has it worked well for you, bump aside? I love Afrin, but it can not be used more than a few days in a row. I have pushed it too far and have suffered some rebound. I understand Flonase/Generic does not risk "rebound".
Avatar f tn Anyway, I had painful ears and clogged ears and had a ct scan and I was diagnosed with mastoiditis which is an infection that has spread to the bone behind your ear. It is a serious infection and sometimes difficult to treat so I would ask your doctor can he please order you a ct scan. Hope everything works out for the best.
7998970 tn?1435183202 My ears are completely clogged now, like from being so sick, does that mean I have an ear infection?
Avatar m tn Have the doctors not suggested you putting olive oil in your ears for a weeks to soften up the blockage and then have them syringed?
Avatar n tn Both of my ears are feeling clogged for last 10 days.. I didn;t get sick or didn;t have a cold or congestion. Also no allergies. I had a minor fluid drain from my ear prior to my ear clog. First the cloggness was in my right ear then it passed on to my left as well. I went to an ENT and both of my ears are clean and also passed my hearing test. Also when i play music, i hear very loud vibrations which unables me to listen to music with to much bass. please help. any suggestions?
Avatar f tn I been having a cold for 2 weeks now! I am very tired of my ears being clogged!! I am losing sleep and the meds the doc prescribed are not unplugging my ears and I have been using a humidifier too. What r ur home remedies for unclogging ears??
Avatar f tn I had a myringotomy 4 days ago without tubes in order to help my eustachian tube dysfunction, ands since the surgery, my ears have become completely clogged feeling. I went to Urgent Care today and my eardrums look fine, other than the incisions from the myringotomy. Has anyone else experienced an extremely clogged feeling in both ears after myringotomy? If so, how long did it last? It is really hard for me to focus on anything right now other than this terrible feeling in my ears. I need help!
Avatar n tn Moved to Chicago several years ago from Phoenix so the doctor suggested that I may be suffering from allergies as a result. Blood test confirmed grass allergy. Have been using Flonase (SP?) for about 1 month coupled with nasal rinsing system but still have the ringing and drainage. Should I be worried about another culprit besides allergies causing these awful symptoms?? In addition, is there any other over-the-counter meds that may be of use. Thank you.
Avatar m tn It feels as if there is water in my ears and I am clogged from my nose across my face, under the eyes and into both ears.. My ENT put me on Flonase and says it will take a long time to build up in my system - is there anything I can do at home in the meantime to relieve these symptoms? Again, thank you for your responses.
Avatar f tn Along with that stuff ^^ normally ears are clogged up because of sinuses (even if you can still breathe through your nose it could still be clogged somewhere). Everytime my ears are clogged, I buy saline solution and squirt it in my nose several times a day and just blow blow blow. After a day or two my ears pop and I can hear again. I also put hydrogen peroxide in my ears and let it bubble as much as possible then drain. There's alot of little stuff like that that you can try.
Avatar n tn My husband has chronic sinus issues but not the issues with his ears like I do. He gets horrible headaches if they are clogged though. He uses a nettipot religiously and it helps. My issues lasted that long couple of years but once I started working with the ENT and did these things, I recovered. Now, it's maybe every two years that I get an episode.
Avatar n tn (Olive Oil). I have been putting it in my ears now for the past month. MY EARS ARE GETTING BETTER!!! There are days where I dont even notice the symptoms! Some days are better than others, but over all, my ears are becoming more and more normal!!! I sleep with one side full of Sweet Oil every night! (Every other night do the other side) I feel like I have tried everything! This is actually working!
Avatar f tn My throat is till hurting and my left nostril is still clogged and my ears are still clogging up. Ive been taking my allergy meds every morning since childhood. But they still do not work and iam 20 years old now. Ent says I'm not severe enough for my tonsils or adenoids to be removed. So what do I do to get my throat nose and ears to stop being clogged up I've tried everything including home remedies nothing seem to work and it makes it just makes it worse.
