Flonase dosage

Common Questions and Answers about Flonase dosage

flovent

when I get stressed out or dont exericise, I notice a flare up. I take flonase for a couple of days and it seems to get better. So you should have allergy tests done to see if it is that first. You might have problems with your sinuses causing the ETD. I would see an ENT if you havent already. both my general doc and my ENT said to use Flonase to help with the ETD. I hope this helps!!! Best of luck to you!!
I have been on and off prednisone for over the last 3 months to due to sensitivity to dust and mold. I take either Allergra D or Zyrtec D normally, as well as Flonase and Singulair. My skin test were negative, as well as RAST. I have also had blood work and chest x-ray and CT of sinus. Everything normal. Out of concern of the side effects of prednisone, I have weaned off it(under doctor's supervison) and took last dosage 5 days ago.
Hi...I am on numerous meds...heart(tachycardia arrythmia)-ATENOLOL; High Cholesterol-CRESTOR; Hernia-PRAVACHOL; Fibromyalgia & Osteo-Arthrytis-KETOROLAC; water retention-LASIX; Sinus-FLONASE; Dysrythmia-ATIVAN. I have also been on EFFEXOR for 5 years for severe depression. My dosage has been increased twice in the past month--I now take 187.5 mg...I woke up at about 12 midnight last Sunday and I have no recall of the past 4 days; however, I apparently withdrew $7000.
for allergies, he does allow me to use flonase. luckily, my allergies haven't been too bad so far. but i know the flonase is helping me cause i tried to stop using it for a while and ended up puking boogers every morning cause i had so much post nasal drip.
The cough did suppress when taking Symbicort 160/4.5, in combination for Flonase, Allergra-D and Singular. It did not go away completely 100% but it was close enough to live. The cough then came back, readjusted the dosage, suppressed, and came back again. He is consistently claiming that this is unlikely to be allergy related because it does not stay away 100%. I want to know if he could possibly be wrong.
It seems to be worse in the summer than winter but is still there then too. I have changed soaps. i do use Flonase nasal spray but had used it years before this started showing up. ive had it 3-4 years now. Im caucasian, have no known alergies, am not sensitive to things, im a 43 year old female. Does Rosecia itch and have clear fluid bumps? help!
First diagnosis was sinusitis with treatment of antibiotics, daily Claritin and Flonase. No relief. Still having pain, mostly in the jaw area. Pain is now getting more severe and moving to overall headaches. I believe I have atypical trigeminal neuralgia as my pain is more constant than abrupt. Any suggestions? Alternative diagnoses?
No. Emily began Nasonex at 5-supposedly much better than Flonase for kids. Jake started allergy meds in May at 19 mos. He is taking Singulair and Zyrtec. ENT thinks allergies are causing fluid build-up in his ears, leading to his frequent ear infections. My DH has terrible allergies. Jake's eyes used to just drip tears and he has what they call "allergic shiners" which are big purple bags under his eyes.
Phase one: Flonase nasal spray several weeks along with Albuterol Phase Two: Added Flovent inhaler, along with course of Z Pack antibiotic (2 weeks) Phase Three: Protonix 40MG once per day along with Allerx twice per day (3 weeks) Phase Four: Added Astelin nasal spray and double Protonix dosage (10 days) Testing: Normal Chest XRAY Normal CT Scan Sinus Pending: Barium Swallow So, nothing is helping and the sensations are very troubling.
showed allergy to molds. Treated this with occasional Allegra and lots of Flonase, the latter which I've used for years. About three years ago, I developed reflux...or perhaps this was long my problem. Was discovered when an ENT did a scope (through my nasal passages) and said my the persistent sore throat I was then experiencing was from stomach acid. This started my relationship with gastros who've given me all kinds of drugs.
Just a update: I went back to the Dr yesterday and had a MRI as well as a MRA done. Good news is they both came back normal. I finished all my antibiotics and still taking meds the Dr has given me. I still have that shooting pain just not as consistent and the pressure seemed to have lessened. If I still have this shooting sharp pain this week I will be making another appt to see my Dr. and see if she can prescribe me something else that is not vicoeden. It doesn't help at all.
doc, they tested me for allergies- I was fine. They told me to just take flonase and it would help. Once I started B-vitamins (as my treatment for anxiety), I felt a lot calmer, and the sinus pressure and stuffiness in my head and ears seemed to get a lot better. I have also started sleeping with two pillows- to keep my head propped up. THis way my ears dont get plugged like they used to. I really think sinus/ear congestion is related to anxiety.
I want to discontinue steriod use, but attempts to decrease dosage result in polyps quickly returning, resulting in bilateral nasal blockage, thick golden discharge, and no smell (anosia??). Skin allergy testing indicated allergies to cats (none in home), two types of fungus (alternaria and one other), and another item. Personal experiments indicate allergy to high fructose corn syrup.
Two years ago, I contracted a bug (virus or bacteria) at age 49. Up until then, I had no history of asthma, allergies, or significant illness. I've always been an athlete running 4-6 miles everyday. The illness (what initially appeared to be a cold with dry cough) turned into pneumonia or severe bronchitis. I almost died on several occasions from mucous plugs. Initial diagnosis by the hospital doctor was asthma (intrinsic). Allergy tests were negative.
gave me TB test ( came back good),chest x ray again normal, gave me levaquin, zyrtec, flonase, and advair inhaler, i feel little better, but still have symptoms. What shoule I do? Never any MEDICAL PROBLEMS, want to be better!!!
i noticed i got the symptoms again more frequently. i was prescribed flonase..but have not been able to use it yet. I still notice that it does subside when I lie down or I FORCE myself to cry. i feel like when i cry..i allow my sinuses or my nose to fill..like its blocking a whole or something. please help! what is this caused by?? what does me lying on a certain side have to do with it? or crying? this ruins my day when i have it..and i feel like the odor and taste are getting stronger.
I've been taking Allegra and Flonase (prescription) alternately for "allergy symptoms". I have a nagging, wheezy cough that just won't quit, a sore throat, and it feels like someone has their foot on the base of my throat. Nothing really stops it and I suspect it's just the effects of the Riba. My doc did say that if you have allergies, you'll have lots more with the Riba!
The fullness wasn't painful, just left me with partial hearing loss for a day or two. Initially, I increased my Flonase dosage to the maximum and washed out my sinuses with saline thinking the fullness and humming was related to congestion from mild allergies. My hearing returned after a day or so. The second time I experienced the hearing loss (five days later), I went to my GP. She didn't see any fluid or blockage in my ear, but recommended I add Mucinex-D for treatment.
shortness of breath agitation in the lungs trouble swallowing (liquids as well) deep and unproductive cough regular sickness general weakness swollen tonsils rotten taste in my mouth feeling of choking and breathing rarely feels refreshing Now for a list of the medications i have taken (if i can remember them all) Qvar, Advair, Albuterol, Allegra, Sudafed, Benadryl, Claritin, Predisone, Lorazapam, Xanax, Flonase, Beconase, Also various antibiotics...
The ENT doctor said I had post nasel drip/ asthma and allergies and to see an allergist. He gave me flonase. The allergist said that I have dust and pollen allergies unrelated to this problem and to see a pulminologist/ take claritan. The pulminologist has given me a steroidal enhaler (Advair) at the max dosage to take bi-daily for the next month or two. He had me do a Pulmonary function test for asthma and now I have a follow up appointment for Jan 15th, 2008.
Synthroid ( 100 mcg) Singular (10) mg Zyprexa ( .25 mg) Flonase Astelin Vyvanse ( 70 mg) Dextroamphetamine IR( 10 mg) Depakote ER(750 mg) Cymbalta (30mg) I have been diagnosed with ADHD/ADD ( both of them), hypothyroidism, allergies (seasonal and no-seasonal), and from my weight of 120 have gone up to 160. * Had gastric bypass (weight loss surgery) over 4 years ago * Prior to WLS-diagnosed with moderate arthritis knees and hips (no surprise-I weighed nearly 400 lbs) * Was initially given Vicodin for extreme pain * After WLS I now would have absorption issues * Vicodin dosages were getting greater and greater and doing less-forwarded to Pain management specialist * Titrated my meds and was put on Fentanyl patches 25 mcg plus 12 mcg.
Doc said you have allergies that aren't draining. Gave me prednisone and flonase, to no avail. Doc said if prednisone doesn't work must be infection. Prescribed amoxicillin. Took amoxicillin for the course and started draining like crazy right at end of medication course. Drained and blew my nose every 10 minutes and even more in times of sweat and heat. Just as things seemed to get better, I had a little of my energy back, I now have three days worth of headache between the eyebrows.
What a life, cannot wait to get this stuff over. If it doesn't work, so be it. I continue on full 180/1200 dosaging. I am going to enjoy whatever time God has for me on this earth afterward. a smile shall return to my face world!!!!! Be ready.
I was treated with approximately 4-5 rounds of steroids (probably very low dosage) between Oct 06- Mar 07 for severe sinus/allergy problem. Other than that, I have used Flonase for several years. The use of steroids has not been mentioned again by the NP or the doc on my 3-4 follow up visits trying to determine what has caused this and why it is causing pain. What they have done is a c-spine, chest x-ray, CT scan.
The doctor told me that I had a decent amount of fluid in my ears, and that I had what seemed to be a viral infection, which was only being made substantially worse by my anxiety. He prescribed me a generic Flonase, Meclizine for the dizziness, and Suphedrine, a behind the counter decongestant that contains Psuedophedrine.
Male, age 42 Ht. 5'11" - Wt. 175 Professional occupation, Rx-Flonase 50mcg x 1 daily. No history of cardiac, HBP or cancer in family. Flonase) to make the nose less stuffy. They help somewhat but not completely as it feels that the nose is stuffed somewhere deeper. Sometimes it feels like the pain is in almost the whole right side of the face and my right eye gets watery. I generally have a severe insomnia and this pain and a stuffy nose make it yet much worse. This summer I was overseas and one of the doctors suggested that it might be trigeminal neuralgia. I started taking Tygretol.
I know it can upset your stomach, but it really does work to reduce inflamation of the eustacian tubes. Do you take it with food? Talke to your doctor about taking part of a day's dosage and different times of the day, not all in the morning. Don't take any at bedtime. Can he give you a shot of it instead of oral or a shot and reduce the oral dosage? Afrin in three day cycles can be beneficial. Three days using Afrin followed by three days not using afrin. Have you tried that?
