My urogynecologist had me try flomax, but unfortunately after a month it was apparent it was only making my urgency worse. I am troubled by retention and urgency. Funny - they had to really work with our insurance to get this filled because I also don't have a prostate and its use in women is definitely off-label. I am 77 years old and have been taking Flomax for about 2 years. I have had cool thermo therapy for enlarged prostrate about 2 years ago. Unrination is really no problem anymore, but I have a problem with getting erections and now when I ejaculate I have no semon in me. Also have a runny nose mostly in the a.m. What is your advice and opinion for this problem. Hello, Flomax is used for the treatment of BPH and if you are having side effects to this drug then you can use other alpha blockers like doxazosin, terazosin, alfuzosin or 5 alpha reductase inhibitors like finasteride and dutasteride. Effects may take longer to appear than alpha blockers, but they persist for many years. But they are available under prescription and should always be taken under a medical guidance. Age 64, with flomax I experience no pleasure with my orgasms. Is this because of the retrograd ejac. or is it a side effect of the medication? I may need to have surgery to improve my urinary flow, but retrograde ejac is a common outcome of these surgeries, and I need to know if I am at risk for losing my orgasm pleasure . I do see an occasional posting of men who have lost their pleasure after these surgeries, with no recourse.

I was given cipro and Flomax for pelvic pain and a UTI. the pain was through the whole pelvis and also individual veins or spermatic cord. does Flomax permanently shrink your prostate or reduce testosterone levels? 4 mg for 4 days for a kidney stone. I think this drug should never have been approved for use for anyone.
