This weekend (after all the events above) I had a kidney stone and was in ER this weekend, and had a CT, they saw the stone (almost in my bladder at the time). High Blood Pressure and Blood in the Urine found at that time. I don't believe the stone has passed yet, but the pain is pretty much gone for the moment after they gave me an injection of (gee I can't remember what) it started with a "T". If you have any suggestions for me, I would be grateful.
That and/or blood vessels rupturing because of high blood pressure during an erection. This would explain why the bleeding stops after the ejaculation: IMO, the blood in the urine is only residual blood (mixed with semen) that got pushed into the bladder during ejaculation. The erection goes down, the skin goes loose and blood pressure goes down. The cut or blood vessel sort of semi-heals itself until the next erection/ejaculation which opens the cut again.
I'm 20 yrs old and hav a kidney stone they told me nothing about it just that I hav one and I feel like hell I feel like I'm gona throw up and hav the sweats I don't know too much about this but I kno my white blood count is high and no one can giv me exact answers hopefully someone here can
That tells me that I never want to get a kidney stone that's for sure! I have been on high dose narcotic therapy for about 13 years now give or take. I started out small, and "worked" my way up as my tolerance to pain medications increased over time. I would take a long-acting opiate, and have an "instant release" opiate for breakthrough pain and bad days.
As to your blood pressure, pain and anxiety can certainly raise this. I have not seen high blood pressure from kidney obstruction in the short term. Get back to your urologist. S.A.Liroff, M.D.
I have varicocele and my blood pressure seems a little high. I also have a huge bulging vein on my penis. can Flomax help with this?
I have an enlarged prostate and a high neck in my bladder. I have had cipro and flomax muscle relaxants. They worked but I still have a pressure feeling near my lower abs and my urine stream is very weak. More so after ejaculation. Can anyone tell me if there is anything they can do other than more antibiotics and muscle relaxants?
Hi, How long have you been taking advil? Advil has been known to worsen prostate enlargement. "People with heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid disease, narrow angle glaucoma, or difficulty in urination due to enlargement of the prostate gland should not take this medication unless directed by a doctor" chealth.canoe.ca/drug_info_details.asp?
After an effective course of antibiotics, you can settle down to treatment with flomax for a short while and see how your symptoms are doing. Herbal preparations sometimes contain steroids which complicate the functions of other systems and will result in reduced immunity once you try to reduce or stop them. This could be the factor causing aggravation of symptoms. If it does contain estrogen, it would definitely cause mood disturbances, in addition to other effects.
Already being treated for benign prostate issues (Flomax) and high blood pressure (lisinopril). But NO doctor has told me I'm dying.LOL with this combo of meds, sex is in the past but I've accepted it...the Flomax and Lisinopril are a sex killer. LOL I had plenty of fun. I'm going to eat dinner now and try to check in later. THANKS AGAIN for the kind support..it's people like you that make life worth fighting for!!
I hope anyone who uses Topamax for any reason is fully aware of the serious risk of acute narrow angle glaucoma. I had read several articles about it but saw it firsthand last week. As usual on my quiet weekend off I got the dreaded call from the emergency room, again. This time about a woman on Topamax for 7 days who seemed to have lost almost all her vision 12 hours after increasing her dose per her doctor's instructions.
He has suffered from ED for years. Is on medication for high blood pressure also prozac. I am sure the side effects are possibly a factor? He takes tablets for ED and an injection for same. This sorts ED out for him, but over the past six months he is worrying about the low volume of semen he is producing. He is a very loving and good man and I have no problem whatever with this.
I am a 57 year old Male with a mechanical heart valve (and on Coumadin), and a knee replacement. I have High Blood Pressure (controlled). My doctor says they will do either procedure as long as I'm off the Coumadin for a few days. I am wondering if there is any reason NOT to try the ESWL 1st. I realize I will get mildly beat up and there will be some bleeding, but it seems to be a far better alternative to scoping. I'm also not comfortable with my doctor doing the scoping....
Your husband can't perform well because the high blood pressure medicine he is on likely has a sexual side effect. I was on a drug called Flomax for my prostate, this drug relaxes the muscles of the prostate, but it is also used to treat high blood pressure.. The side effects were immediate, I could hardly get it up and I had hardly any semen coming out. I've since switched to a different med with no problems.
painful ejaculation including rectum could not for 1 month(dry).swelled epydidimitis.light colored with blood in stool.and lots of symtoms some for years just got worse like somach pain headache and neck, swollen lymph notes and prostate racing heart very tired bad arthritis rash on cheeks/nose dizzy senstive ears and alot more.
I have had repeated infections over the past year, as well as having pain when I do not have an infection. My Blood Pressure is always way higher than normal (usually around 140/110, and I only weigh 100lbs). I recently have been having some issues with inconsonence. Last week, however, I had urine retention and had to go the the ER to get a catheter put in. Though I did have a UTI, my CT didnt show that I had any obstructions.
I am very active and work in my business about 50+ hours a week. About three years ago Flomax was prescribed for BPH/prostate. After a few months, I noticed a tremor in the calf muscle of each leg. I discontinued the Flomax, and the tremors stopped. Shortly after that I noticed swelling in my ankles. At a routine check up with my GP I mentioned the swelling in my ankles and upon checking the doctor identified A.Fib. A cardioversion was very successful.
Hello, I am 25 year old male, and for the past 3 years I've had many ups and downs trying to get to the bottom of my symptoms. It all started when I contracted an STD (Gonorrhea I think), which then spread to Prostititis.

Your doctor needs to determine exactly what properties are needed in the medication you will take and then be sure that he prescribes one that is compatible with the Hep C meds. I am not trying to avoid your question but here is a list of drugs for high blood pressure. You can see what I mean about there being manmy drugs. blood workup, ultrasound, Xrays and a painfull proceedure where a tube was inserted into my penis (I don't know the medical terminology) At any rate, I was put on Flomax and told that I would need to be on this for the rest of my life! I was also placed on antibiotics for 6 weeks.......My problems are: 1. This Dr is very vague and does not welcome any of my questions. He said my prostate is enlarged, but also mentioned a (congenital) narrow bladder neck. Are these two problems related? 2.
The other name for these drugs is mini press and they are sometimes used for high blood pressure. Prazosin is also used for PTSD/nightmares and it works for most people.
other than surgery is needed to remove the stone that's blocked.. and sends me home with flomax, demerol, and uristat, I asked at the front desk for a copy of my catscan report and read it myself. I don't know if she read anything other than 6MM stone. The catscan was done two weeks prior to my visit, I had been trying to pass it on my own. My deductible is $5000 and I have yet to be approved for disability. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? I'm a little freaked out..

I have been suffering from on and off again lower back pain and sciatica for the past year. I also have GAD, BPH,and high blood pressure. I went to see the Ortho today and he prescribed 10mg hyro and 10 mg Flexeril until I can schedule PT again. I am going to make sure to go through all 3 weeks so that my cheap insurance will pay for an MRI. I had one a little over a year ago thatt revealed a bulged disc at L4 or L5...can't remember which. My insurance at that time paid with no questions.
Last Tuesday l awoke with nurmerous bowel motions progressing to Diahorrea then stabbing pain in lower right stomach/groin/flank and bad lower back/hip pain (actually back/hip pain l'd had for a few weeks), progressed to vomitting then just the pain and amazing pelvic pressure and constant urination. Went to Docs got pain injection with suspected kidney stones.
I have not really had a day for the past year+ without some level of chest pressure discomfort. I have 5 stents, and have not had complete relief after any of the heart caths to put them in. I've had 8 caths total over the past 15 or so months, but the last two came out clear. So seems my main arteries are doing okay now (cholesterol levels are really doing well), but can't seem to shake the chest pressure/discomfort.
