Avatar m tn Flomax was added the following year, which again worked for awhile, but the symptoms returned after 6 months or so. The Flomax caused retrograde ejaculation, which bothered me because in the past, I had always shot a fairly substantial load when I ***. However, I did discover that if I masturbated in the sauna at my gym (always alone), I sometimes could produce some *** if I leaned back and pressed my thumb against the base of my penis prior to the point of ejaculation.
Avatar m tn Urinary tract infections (UTIs) and retrograde ejaculation are 2 other possibilities. In men, the most common source of the infection is the prostate gland (prostatitis). Hope this helps. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

Avatar m tn p.s - as for the retrograde ejaculation which is scary and weird, it does not happen if you have sex right before its time to take a dose. For example I was taking Flomax after lunch mid day, and if I had sex that evening the retrograde issue would happen, but if I waited to have sex until the next morning or afternoon before taking another dose it does not happen and ejaculate exits out the way it is supposed to...
Avatar f tn Hi, this is a patient-to-patient forum, no doctors answer questions. That said, here's a good article about retrograde ejaculation. Read the whole thing and then have a talk with your doctor. https://www.mayoclinic.
Avatar f tn Why do you think there is urine and semen merged together. There is something called retrograde ejaculation but that is usually the reverse, sperm found in your urine (rather than urine in your sperm). Maybe it doesn't matter but many with this condition report 'dry orgasm'. This isn't you, correct? More information would be helpful. Here's information on that condition though. https://www.mayoclinic.
Avatar m tn Hello, I agree with the urologist because it can be retrograde ejaculation. Diabetes can cause neuropathy of the bladder sphincter and hence retrogarde ejaculation. Retrograde ejaculation caused by diabetes or surgery may be improved with a medication that improves the muscle tone of the bladder neck. In addition he should control his blood sugar levels and do some kegel exercises to tone up the muscles.
Avatar m tn Hi there, It could be you had an episode of retrograde ejaculation. Retrograde ejaculation occurs when semen goes into the bladder instead of leaving the penis during ejaculation. During normal ejaculation, internal muscles, called spincters, close off the opening of the bladder to prevent semen from entering as it passes through the urethra.
Avatar m tn I began to do more research and realized that I had retrograde ejaculation. I also noticed it seems to be worse when I was drinking. Which made it very fun in High School and College. Here is a list of things that could work for you 1) Pee before you have sex.. This gets the urine out of your bladder so that the sperm doesn't mix with your urine. People with Retrograde Ejaculation have probably seen sperm mixed in their urine after peeing after ejaculating.

Avatar m tn I am a 54 years old, and have Type II Diabetes (since 1995), very poorly controlled. That's on me. My problem is that I have ED and Retrograde Ejaculation. I was married for 19 years, and my sex life during that time was not very good. Intercourse in the mission position maybe once a week, and masturbation in between. Very exciting right! NOT . Somewhere towards the end of my marriage in 2008 I started to get ED. I spoke with my doctor about it and he gave Levitra and Viagra.
Avatar n tn On a different note, the other day I masturbated and almost nothing came out. The urologist told me that the flomax causes retrograde ejaculation, but this was in the morning after my flomax has usually worn off (this was at a time of day when I have masturbated and ejaculated before, but no more than a little dribble oozed out. Usually when the flomax is in effect, absolutely nothing comes out).

If pregnancy is not desired by both of you, there is always emergency contraception.
Avatar n tn I suppose I've been an "it" all my life, because I have an congenital version of retrograde ejaculation. I've seen a Urologist, had ultrasounds and MRI's, and there is nothing that can be done about it. The only way I could likely have a child is if they collect my urine after "ejaculation", separate the semen out and wash it, then turkey baste the batch into the woman.
Avatar m tn I read a question that a person was taking flomax and found he had dry ejaculation, just wanted to confirm it. I have been prescribe flomax.
