So, if you are taking Topamax or getting ready to increase you dose or considering starting it - please, please take my advice and remember that it can cause sudden worsening of your vision, and if an attack of narrow angle glaucoma starts, you can develop severe eye pain, extreme headache, nausea, vomiting and nearly complete loss of vision.
1) alpha-blockers (Flomax) supposedly cause blurry vision and mine isn't blurred--searching the literature on SE of alpha-blockers finds only refs to blurry vision and "floppy iris", 2) the starbursts are visible in specular reflections in bright lights when my pupils are probably small. The patterns I see appear not to be the soft focus blur of spherical aberrations (wide open pupils) but look like diffraction patterns. Thus, I am still puzzled and will probably go back to the O.D.
I had cataract surgery on Tuesday - today, Friday - I am still feeling a gritty sensation in eye and it is blurry. I can't even tell if my eye is open or not until I look in the mirror. I saw the doctor again yesterday and he just ordered new drops. I am taking 4 kinds of eye drops now. I think they are further irritating things. Is there anything topical I can do - like warm washcloth or cold washcloth? I feel like ripping my eye out!

Before, he could see trees, and now he can see leaves! He was having trouble with night vision (glare recovery) and bright lights blinded him at night. Dr Leo Mack is affiliated with the Eye Care Associates of East Texas and has had great success with lens replacement including the Restor@ Lens. I am very impressed with his expertise in this field.
then disappeared. 2010--Summer, Blurry vision for about 2 days. Vertigo for 3-4 wks, mild. Both possible related to neurontin...?. Arm pain is most common symptom, as well as fatigue. Chronic constipation. I have had a recent stess in my life which has increased my fatigue, anxiety, and I have been having irritability issues, for no reason. The other day, I had my right eye go blurry with vertical double vision (double vision with an image on top and bottom????? what ever you call it) that lasted a day and a half. It is one of the reasons I went to the ER. I have been tested for ON with a VEP and got the all clear, even though I had a suspicious looking lesion on my nerve, according to the Neuro. Question is, could spasticity be pulling at my eye muscles and causing my manifestation of visual problems?
The doctor gave me flomax and said to see how that went. The feeling did start easing up, but didn't go away. Week by week, the feeling eased more and more. This week (March 26) i can finally say on a scale of 1-10, my discomfort is a one!! But I received a phone call from my GYN earlier this week, who told me that the urologist in Atlanta thinks I need to see a neurologist for possible MS. I've done some reading about MS.

I also have that annoying warm sensation that is in my right leg and it moves from my ankle and up about 4inches and seems to be very frequent. I too thought it was a little heater under the seat of my car that was warming my leg-but the heat was not on. Also, the balls of my feet are burning along with this sensation. I need to know what this is?
