Common Questions and Answers about Flexibility yoga patricia walden dvd

flexibility

Avatar n tn I want to increase flexibility and muscle tone. Does anyone have any recommendations for a decent yoga/exercise DVD?
419309 tn?1326503291 I prefer yoga at home rather than a class. It really works to de-stress. Good luck getting your husband to do yoga (mine would never) but you may enjoy some de-stressing yourself. I like 'A.m and P.m yoga for Beginners'. (Rodney Yee and Patricia Walden) Especially the p.m. part with Patricia Walden. She really takes you through the steps to deep relaxation. ****.*** has it. Best wishes for a smooth beginning. I hope you will share the results of your husband's predose PCR.
Avatar f tn Prenatal water aerobics or just swimming in general is easy and feels good
Avatar f tn I Also do squats as the shower is running before I get in to help my thighs and butt. Prenatal yoga too for flexibility. You can get a cheap DVD from Walmart.
Avatar f tn @JamieNVance @nessagarcia1593 @organicmama I purchased mine at a book store called Hastings. They sell books, DVDs, CDs, etc. You can start practicing at any time. The sooner the better but, anytime is better then no time. The DVDs are designed for every trimester. And they give you simple alternatives for when our baby is bigger on how to support ourselves when in certain positions. I purchased a Crunch Workout Pregnant Mama Prenatal Yoga DVD, with instructor Sue Elkind.
Avatar f tn I am trying to find a workout video to help keep my strength and mobility. I have tried a yoga class. Did not do so well at it and personally didn't care for it. Any suggestions? Thank You.
Avatar f tn Has anyone gone to pregnant yoga if so would you recommend going? Or is there other classes to help prepair for delivery?
614343 tn?1258041519 Yes, I have one and I love it. The only thing I don't like about it, is that once you get used to the routine, it's pretty slow paced. I do like being able to track my weight and "Wii Fit" age --- because it always shows that I'm "younger" and in better shape than my 60 yrs would imply. It's good for starting out, but once you get used to the exercises, it's not much of a challenge.
505857 tn?1329681517 Can yoga help tone up your fatty bits while pregnant? I was overweight before I conceived now I feel bad as I don't hav e a completely round bump due to some loose fatty skin. I've ordered a yoga dvd as I've been told this could help lose weight but not to much that it harms the baby, tones and stretches the muscles to help with labour. Has anyone tried this before? Would you recommend it? Can you lose weight while pregnant and still have a healthy baby?
1132307 tn?1357908608 Anyone know of a good yoga DVD specifically for fertility or any specific poses that can help? Thanks!
Avatar n tn Looking for a beginners (very beginner) prenatal yoga dvd. I want to stay healthy and active but not over do it. I'm newly pregnant but haven't worked out in a long time. Any suggestions?
649848 tn?1534633700 Awesome post Barb! You know...I recently did just what you mentioned that you had done. I purchased a beginner DVD for yoga. I have tried it once, but I do believe that I ought to give it another shot! I had wondered if perhaps the makers of my yoga DVD had a different idea of 'beginner' than I did....but I think that I am just not accustomed to yoga yet. ; ) Thanks so much for your post! I thought that it was awesome.
Avatar n tn As your skill builds, the added poses become increasingly challenging in different ways, which makes yoga an exercise routine that grows with you. Another basic yoga concept is that everyone is on his or her own path, progressing at his or her own pace. So leave behind the competitive spirit or fear that you’re not as good as others. Be sure to let your instructor know you have arthritis so he or she can help adapt the poses to match your personal physical limits.
282955 tn?1394730951 i heared about a dvd called "Yoga 4 Fertility"
Avatar m tn I have been using a total gym that someone gave me, its great! other than that I think yoga and pilates would be really good, I have a pilates dvd, I will dig it out. I have an exercise bike and I use that too... I wear compression hose to keep my bp up and that has really helped my exercise level. Just remember slow and steady!! I find that if I think I am feeling really good and push myself, I pay for it, by being sick for two or three days after. So pace yourself. Glad you found us!!
750946 tn?1270288132 It sounds like you've hit on a pretty good plan there -- slow and steady is the best way to do it, so you can make the changes last. I'm not familiar with the "Biggest Loser Yoga for Weight Loss" DVD, but I love yoga. Yoga stretches your muscles and strengthens your core muscles. I am not normally one for slow boring things either, but the movements in yoga are so deliberate it takes a lot of concentration to get the poses right. It's also very low impact.
Avatar f tn I like to work out with What to Expect workout DVD and Suzannes Slim and Toned DVD.
Avatar f tn What has helped me is stretching. Doing yoga. Look online for pregnancy yoga poses or get a prenatal yoga DVD if you don't have time for a class. Also get a maternity support belt to wear during the day. It will really help.
1396846 tn?1332459510 thank you all for your wonderful ideas, I am not so sure about getting into a bathing suit at this point to go swimming, maybe after I have dropped some of the weight. I will look into a yoga dvd to try at home.
Avatar f tn Call your dr, let them know. I don't sleep either. I'm in the same boat severe hip pain on left side. What has really helped me is prenatal yoga. Or just stretching. I just have a DVD, I don't have time to get to a class (I have to keep up with my two other very busy/active children-7 yrs and 17 months). The yoga does wonders. My DVD is only 20 mins long.
435139 tn?1255460391 s Fit Mama Prenatal Workout, she has a variety of exercises on the dvd including salsa dancing and then once you have the baby a post dvd is included and it has mama and baby workouts.
