What i do is run in the mornings, about 1 or 2 miles, make sum eggs, do the workouts they give here, then later on in the day go outside for a walk for an hour. On top off that just eat healthy and trust me ul see the weight come off. Within 5 days i lost 7 lbs but that's just cuz it was the very start. After that ul lose it gradually.

I know how to swim, but haven't done so since the health issues occurred.
Avatar f tn have gone to physical therapy and have regained all my flexibility and have no acute pain anymore. My frustration is still not being able to run. I get almost immediate hamstring area tightness and have burning sensation and discomfort in my ankle/foot area also. the physical therapist thinks it is a compensatory reaction because I am flexing my foot too much to try and bring that weaker leg thru when running.
Avatar f tn What about yoga and increasing your flexibility? I have noticed when I stretch and do my yoga first that my back problems are much easier to deal with while working out. What about acupuncture? I did this with my second pregnancy for my migraines and morning sickness. I'm just starting to lose my pregnancy weight from my third child who was a csection 15 months ago but I had some complications that hendered my weight loss but those are getting under control now slowly and surely.

Exactly why you rarely see fat marathon runners. If you are really out of shape, do mild activities for a prolonged amount of time, for example, go for a slow walk for an hour, rather than a brisk walk for ten minutes and you will burn more fat that way. The longer you get the aerobic system working for, the more fat you burn.

I personally stopped swimming (because it's quite expensive here) when we got a dog when I was 4 months pregnant so now I'm still walking 2-3 hours everyday at 37 weeks pregnant and I've gained about 28 lbs (I'm quite tall). Avatar f tn There are many workout options for mothers. Maybe you can do video workouts when your baby is sleeping. About baby workouts, all I do with my 6 month old is make sure she is active. I have a walker for her so I place her in it for a while. She walks around a lot in it. I also put her on the floor where she rolls everywhere. She has a step'n play piano which she loves because she can twist and walk back and forth with music activation when she steps.

Avatar f tn Unless your doc put you on restrictions you can pretty much do anything especially if you were active before being pregnant. Just listen to your body and don't over do it. Yoga is always good.

572651 tn?1530999357 No more imagining myself as a major hiker-person, at least at the moment. It will be a good week more before I can walk at all without a walker. Then, sometime after that, I can get my dog back because I'll be able to walk her too. And so on. Little things make it all less overwhelming, and I tend to get overwhelmed rather easily. So these are my thoughts and resolutions. Any of you who'd like to prod me with questions and encouragement---that'd be more than welcome.
