flexibility

Avatar f tn Hi there and thanks so much for your question! Did you know that strength training can add few inches to your height? Regarding to that specific question I wish I had a clear answer to your question. Unfortunately there are many factors associated to our height. The rate of growth in females varies from female to female. Some females don't stop growing until they are 14, and for some females it is even older.

20893158 tn?1579358911 s wise to alternate activities at least some, and getting some resistance training in as well and flexibility training can at least potentially reduce the costs of running. Peace.
Avatar f tn I recently started exercising at home because I do not have the time to go to a gym whatsoever. Luckily for me I found this girl on YouTube, Joanna Soh, and follow her video exercises. Check her channel out and tell me if it works for you ;) If you were enrolled in a gym and had your exercise routines, follow those and mix them up with some of hers, if not and you are just starting, I recommend to begin exercising 3 times a week and go from there with light cardio at first.

1063386 tn?1287878569 I happened to be playing around and found chiari on YouTube. There are soo many videos. And than fuethur into my investigation I found most med students in basic med schools have to do presentations on chiari and related conditions now. I thought what a huge victory this might be for all of us and for future suffers with med schools no longer throwing a few paragraphs our way. Go to YouTube and type in chiari.

Avatar f tn Sorry to hear about your toe... why not try doing some strength training over the next few weeks. Strength training is necessary for building muscles and muscles burn more fat. If you're just walking or dancing, etc with flip flops or bare feet that's fine. Running or high impact cardio should only be done with good supportive shoes. You could also try some yoga... it's good for weight loss and shouldn't affect your toe.
Avatar f tn Use the workouts that make use of flexibility and stretching, strength training and aerobics for the best results. Fitting in regular sessions of weightlifting, calisthenics or other strength activities can help increase muscle mass and keep the body toned and strong. Aerobics will help with burning calories, endurance and weight management, and stretching helps prevent injuries and prepare the body for more intense movements.
Avatar f tn 3 to 4 miles a week? Wow! That's great :) Good for you. I can't really exercise due to sporadic Braxton Hicks. I go on small walks only. There are great 2nd Trimester work out videos on youtube. Check those out.
Avatar f tn There are several rhythm/dance workouts on youtube. the ones i've tried are called bodyjam. Which there are a few different ones, about 20 minutes each. there's also Core Rhythms, which is your Zumba type dance. And they have the FULL workout (38 minutes) right on youtube....For free! I have a laptop so i can put it on a shelf on my entertainment center in the living room and Poof! Instant private aerobic dance class. Plus you don't have to buy tons of dvds.
11717999 tn?1422521384 there are several transition videos on youtube of real people using waist training and the before and after results were amazing but it takes alot of focus to religiously wear that steel clamped equipment all day. Good luck.
Avatar m tn If anyone here would take time to set this lady on YouTube straight, i'd appreciate it. They are really scaring me man, ultra conservative at every turn testing at six months for a conclusive result for one...i posted a response stating what we state here, that it's been 3 months for a while now. The response-the cdc says 6 months is golden...
Avatar m tn s getting to the point that I literally cannot miss a single training session. If I do the pain starts coming. It then only starts to go away after two or three training sessions. More info about the pain: It hurts when I look down, and it restricts my flexibility (it hurts to much to touch my toes). When it hurts I constantly move around because it relieves the pain (kind of like when you have to urinate) The pain feels almost like the growth pains that I use to get in my legs as a child.
Avatar f tn I posted an ESPN article on this very subject a week ago and ITHOOD posted a youtube video from a research cardiologist (former endurance training enthusiast) on the same subject. The message is the same, you can damage your heart if you overextend MHR time period. Best wishes for a procedure well done. Where will it be done? ps. there are a number of endurance athletes that belong to lone afib forum.
Avatar f tn Finally, using good shoes (ideally compensating for individual foot differences) is important. The shin can be trained for greater static and dynamic flexibility through adaptation, which will diminish the contracting reflex, and allow the muscles to handle the rapid stretch. The key to this is to stretch the shins regularly. However, static stretching might not be enough. To adapt a muscle to rapid, eccentric contraction, it has to acquire greater dynamic flexibility as well.
Avatar f tn (I am 29 and exercise routinely with HIIT and strength training.). I have never had hip pain before, but I have had aches like this that have improved with rest and gradual return to my exercise routine. I exercised fine for about two weeks with that dull, intermittent pain in my hip. But for about a month now, my hip pain has become very severe. I have been unable to exercise or do much stretching at all. I even bought a cane to help me hobble around!
Avatar n tn They consist of stretching and holding different joint and muscle groups for 10 to 30 seconds each. Stretching improves flexibility, and daily stretching is the basis for any exercise program. Strength exercises involve working the muscle against resistance. This can be either with or without weights. Resistance training strengthens the muscle and increases the amount of activity you can do pain-free. Conditioning exercise, also called aerobic exercise, improves cardiovascular fitness.
