Avatar n tn Circuit training burns 30 percent more calories than typical weight training workouts. You can easily do circuit training workouts at home or at the gym on your own. Workouts last 30 to 45 minutes each and use either dumbbells, resistance bands or just your own body weight as a resistance. You're doing a series of exercises one after another in a circuit without taking any breaks in between the exercises.

Avatar m tn What would be the beat way to cut from 234 lbs to 185 lbs by Nov 16 I have a fight then I have my diet under control by eating right and I circuit train my butt off some days I can drop 4 lbs was wondering if any one now another way to burn fast
Avatar n tn To lose thigh fat and build size in your butt, your workout should include both cardiovascular exercise and weight training. It’s not possible to target your thighs for fat loss. If you exercise regularly and make changes to your eating habits, as your body fat percentage decreases, you’ll see improvements everywhere, including your thighs. Cardio will help you increase the number of calories you burn to help your fat loss.
Avatar n tn I just got into weight training but I dint know how to eat right. Can someone please guide me and show me a plan for teens or something.HELP.
Avatar m tn 20 mins circuit training (weights & cardio) 60 mins med-resistance on eliptical trainer 10 mins power plates Mon, Wed, Fri: 20 mins circuit training (weights & cardio) 60 mins med-resistance on eliptical trainer 20 mins weights (leg press, shoulder press etc) 10 mins power plates Sat: 20 mins circuit training Sundays are rest days. My 'maintain' calorie intake is circa 2500 calories and my diet is restricted to 1500 calories.
Avatar f tn Simply alternate between a minute or two of intense exercise followed by a minute or two of moderate work. Circuit training can also help you gain strength and burn fat. Combine two or three circuits of weight training, followed by a circuit of cardio. Then follow up with another circuit of different weight-bearing exercises and a different type of cardio. I suggest trying the following!
Avatar f tn It's working great for me I'm doing 8 sessions in 5 days at the gym,4 Personal Training sessions,2 circuit sessions,1 boxing session and 1 drums & motion session, that's my fun session.I've lost 25lb in 10 weeks.
Avatar f tn The arm ergometer is a machine that allows you to use your arms in place of your legs to push the pedals of a bicycle. Another option is trying an upper body circuit training program, using high repetitions and low loads, and short rest breaks between exercises. Using upper body machines or free weight exercises that work your latissimus dorsi, deltoids, pectorals, biceps, triceps and rhomboids will get your heart pumping.
Avatar m tn I have been involved with a strength training circuit training program the last year and a half. I have noticed that I am having increasing SOB between exercises and have to sit crunch ed over to catch my breath. A few hours after class I also feel totally wiped out and can't do anything but rest. This also happens if I try to do any high intensity activity so I try to stay away from real high intensity circuits.
470885 tn?1326329037 I do 20 minutes of cardio (eliptical) and then a short circuit of weights (all upper body). I also do some squats and situps. When I was pregnant with DS - and prior to conceiving him - I did a lot of brisk walking, but that's it, no weights. Now that I've adopted this routine and am TTC again, I was thinking that I should be a bit more careful - not that I'm working out that rigorously or anything.....
Avatar f tn You can accomplish this through a total body circuit training program three times a week or you can work upper body one day and lower body the next, six days per week. Muscle weighs more than fat and strength training promotes the development of lean muscle.
1963845 tn?1376030809 An example is to complete 10 sets of 20 to 60 seconds of full speed sprint jumps, resting for one minute in between intervals. Another option is to incorporate circuit training into your jump rope workouts, which can include bouts of other activities like push-ups, and squats. Each time you land from a hop, your entire body weight drives into your hips, knees and ankle joint structures.
Avatar m tn Is there anything else that I can do to get rid of this embarrassing condition? (I already workout 1+ hrs per day, 5 days/wee; I regularly do cardio interval training, circuit training, and resistance training) ***I've read that this condition is caused by low levels of testosterone. If this is the case, should I be taking testosterone supplements?
20893158 tn?1579358911 s wise to alternate activities at least some, and getting some resistance training in as well and flexibility training can at least potentially reduce the costs of running. Peace.
Avatar f tn A broad complex is either caused by the ventricular conducting system not working (bundle branch block...pathway for impulse) or the electrical circuit is not involving the AV node (pathway from atria to ventricles) correctly. Broad complex tachycardias may be ventricular or supraventricular in origin. Worst case scenario the condition can cause arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat), but it can be treated.

Avatar n tn I recently started (5 months ago) integrating running into my weight/circuit training workouts. I was a college baseball all-american and use to be able to run extremely fast, however, I always got winded if I tried to run for any kind of distance. This is still the case as I've been training for a 5k and my goal is to finish under 24 minutes.
1387575 tn?1279684381 Its a little lengthy so bare with me. First off, I am a very active person. Before the injury I weight lifted on a regular basis, played lacrosse throughout high school (i just finished my freshman year in college), and I frequently took trips to the rock gym and various outdoor rocks for climbing. In January I started the Crossfit fitness program (www.crossfit.com). This program combined strength training, agility work, running, gymnastic, olympic lifting, balance, mobility, and flexibility.
Avatar f tn the trainer in the gym has me on interval training and circuit training and i spend one hour ten minutes in gym four times a week and use fit ball at home everyday... Avatar m tn I am having the same problem. 45 yrs old, circuit training 4 days a week. calories around 1500 - 1600 and up and down weight (165 - 173) and inches NOT coming off. I read about this same delima alot... whats the solution?
572651 tn?1530999357 I think working out in the water just works you harder and your core temp is maybe rising because of it. I am able to go to a "girl's only" club or gym. I probably can't name it, but I really love it. Thirty minutes a day and the machines are hydraulic so you work at your own pace. It is a strength training circuit so I get aerobic in between the stations. I can't tell you the difference it has made!
