The key to regularity seems to be lots of fluid, fiber, and avoiding cloying and binding foods like starches and cheeses and dense meats. Avoid caffiene which is a diuretic. Some
of the best things are raw salads with oily dressing, canteloupe, strawberries, apples... Almost any fruits really. 8+ glasses of water a day. Activia or probiotic rich yogurts or foods (sauerkraut, pickles,) also helps. Last recourse... Colace, miralax ate both safe per my ob and I use them now and again.
