Common Questions and Answers about Flexibility in retail

flexibility

Avatar f tn I work in retail on my feet for 9 hours a day with only 30 minutes to sit. There's not much you can do other than tough it out. My hip and pelvic pain has been so intense that when I walk I see stars! The Dr says it's because I'm carrying really low and she has already dropped. He said there's nothing I can do except come off work early. He basically told me to suck it up, she'll be here in a couple weeks!! Good luck finding relief!!
Avatar m tn I still suffer from excruciating cramp in my feet. Over the last 2 years I have built up the muscles in my feet and have increased flexibility with daily stretches and exercises but still suffer from painful cramp in my arches and toes. It seems to occur when my toes are pointed for long periods of time as I tend to tense my feet quite hard.
Avatar m tn I have flexibility issues in almost all of my joints (Knees, elbow, wrist, ankle). Coincidentally, all the joints in the right side of my body are worse. I cannot squat as the back of my feet cannot touch my butt, my hand cannot touch my shoulder, cannot do pushup as wrist will hurt a lot. I have done xrays but doctor said my xrays are fine. Went through physiotherapy but joints flexibility does not improve no matter how much i stretched.
519035 tn?1348275773 I've gone so far as to wear a mask before i enter the dr's office.the receptionist asked if i was sick and i said no i'm here for a physical, but look at everyone in the waiting area. ( all sniffling, sneezing, coughing, hacking) I might be paranoid and look stupid, but i can't afford to get sick. i catch everything the wind blows because my immune system is already compromised. I thought about putting a sign on my door.
Avatar f tn Im 32+2 and my back is killing me to the point where it hurts to walk. I cant bend, cant sit comfortably or even roll over in bed. I've taken tylenol and am using ice packs but its really not helping! I dont know if I pulled something or if its sciatica. I work retail full time so I need to fix this. Any advice please!
Avatar n tn My 80 year old mother had TKR surgery last week. She says when she stands or sits for any length of time, her foot hurts and she must lay down to relieve the pain. The doctor said this is typical because of blood rushing to the foot and recommended putting the support sock on. Has anyone else experienced this? Everyone is impressed with her flexibility and she's doing her exercises regularly but this pain has really gotten her concerned and regrets getting the surgery.
Avatar f tn Just wanted to know if anyone with PATM work in retail and are the customers that come in contact with you are affected? If yes how do you cope with people coughing around u.
Avatar f tn Ooooh, retail. I worked in that business for about 6 years. There were definitely some days where I wanted to make all the customers and some coworkers disappear, hehehe. I can't imagine working retail while pregnant. I'd probably be very mean!!!

Avatar f tn I am 23 weeks pregnant, I also work in retail and I have a 10 hour shift coming my way... Is that too long to be on my feet? I can't have a chair either. What are your thoughts on being on your feet for too long?
Avatar f tn Who else works in retail and picks up on heavy things every now and then? And what are your side effects from it during your pregnancy?
Avatar n tn Not sure if this is the right place to post but I'm taking a chance: I'd like to buy my boss's son a Littman Stethoscope for his graduation. Does anyone know a medical supply store in Montreal that sells these? Hopefully something around the Cote-des-neiges area.... Thanks for your help in advance.
Avatar f tn I work in retail. I went at 34 weeks with my daughter and I had her at 38 weeks. it was the perfect amount of time to relax and get stuff ready for her to come.
Avatar m tn There was no need for any chemo or radiation since the tumor was well encapsulated. He engaged in all follow up tests and recent routine tests were all normal except his abdominal CT Scan showed some swelling in his bladder lining. All urine tests were normal - no signs of blood or infection...no sense of urgency to urinate or anything else unusual.
Avatar n tn Do you recommend working while pregnant? as in retail,or restaurants ?

Avatar m tn Hi Brad, I agree with nickppatel re the leg activity in water polo. I played water polo for 6 years in my late teens to early twenties (then joined the military) and I have a full understanding on the amount of leg work required just to play water polo, let alone being the goalie.
Avatar n tn I have a strange sensation in my toes (both feet) middle 2 toes, Feels worst at night,
Avatar m tn I work in retail and for the last 10 years I have never heard of any blood being left anywhere on any peg in the store. Are you sure the dark residue was blood? Stores have very specific hazmat rules that have to be followed and the state is constantly checking to make sure they are. If you were concerned you should of talked to the manager. I can't speak for other places but where I work your concerns would of been addressed immediately.

Avatar f tn I work in retail too and it was hard. My last day I was 36 weeks. Its hard working retail while pregnant because you have soooo many different tasks to do at once, there's never enough people staffed, and you don't get enough breaks. Some days I didn't even get a break. I think around 37 weeks is good because youre full term by then. And if your baby doesn't come for another 3 weeks then you have time to relax/prepare. Depends on your financial and personal needs.
Avatar f tn Obviously it isn't ideal, but finding a job in retail for right now would lighten his burden and would make you feel much more useful. It also won't be too hard on your body, and retail is always hiring!
