Avatar f tn Hello. I'm in the 11 and Classes start in August also and I'm due in sept. I am thinking about finishing out the credits I need at home online. I know that it will be easier with me wanting to breastfeed.
Avatar f tn online, or college-style program as it would afford you more flexibility to be with baby more, and give you more time in between classes. If you continue with your regular school schedule, that will be several hours a day you can't nurse or pump.
1627868 tn?1333886342 She is truly unhappy and I am interested in talking with someone who knows things about homeschooling to see if that is the route we should try. I just feel like because she is only 9, it is going to be an extremely long next 9 years. It only gets worse as they get older. Any thoughts or advice? Thanks all!
Avatar m tn I still suffer from excruciating cramp in my feet. Over the last 2 years I have built up the muscles in my feet and have increased flexibility with daily stretches and exercises but still suffer from painful cramp in my arches and toes. It seems to occur when my toes are pointed for long periods of time as I tend to tense my feet quite hard.
Avatar m tn I have flexibility issues in almost all of my joints (Knees, elbow, wrist, ankle). Coincidentally, all the joints in the right side of my body are worse. I cannot squat as the back of my feet cannot touch my butt, my hand cannot touch my shoulder, cannot do pushup as wrist will hurt a lot. I have done xrays but doctor said my xrays are fine. Went through physiotherapy but joints flexibility does not improve no matter how much i stretched.
Avatar m tn I would not guide you in the direction of avoiding school by relying on home schooling. It is clear that in almost all instances of anxiety the most prudent approach is to confront the anxiety-provoking situations, not avoid them. If you pull back, do it around some of the weekend socializing, when more of an option is available. In other words, build in opprtunities for him to say 'No' to some occasions, even while he is made to engage in other experiences.
12584065 tn?1436320514 My Mom home schooled me and my siblings up until I was in 4th grade when we moved back into the USA. My Mom schooled my older sister, me, and younger twin sisters. I think homeschooling is awesome! I had a wonderful experience. The only thing that I would recommend is to follow the basic skill styles that they are teaching in the schools. It will make it so much easier for your child to integrate into school later if that is what you wish.
Avatar f tn When is a good age to start teaching yout baby things? I will be a stay at home mom so if im gonna be at home all day with her i wanna make sure we use some of that type for that.. 12584065 tn?1436320514 Yes I looked into that as well. I just feel my daughter is more attentive with a one in one environment so im looking into homeschooling. She'll be 5 soon and starting kindergarden so I want to get things figured out asap. I have no clue how to even start or where I get her proper books and materials.
Avatar m tn that they are malicious and argumentative. The loudness is not increased, but every voice I hear sounds as though it is unhappy with me, arguing with me, or even plotting against me. I have shown signs I believe to be that of ADD and Paranoia in the past, but the yelling has always been a mystery. It started probably two years ago.

Avatar n tn My 80 year old mother had TKR surgery last week. She says when she stands or sits for any length of time, her foot hurts and she must lay down to relieve the pain. The doctor said this is typical because of blood rushing to the foot and recommended putting the support sock on. Has anyone else experienced this? Everyone is impressed with her flexibility and she's doing her exercises regularly but this pain has really gotten her concerned and regrets getting the surgery.
Avatar m tn There was no need for any chemo or radiation since the tumor was well encapsulated. He engaged in all follow up tests and recent routine tests were all normal except his abdominal CT Scan showed some swelling in his bladder lining. All urine tests were normal - no signs of blood or infection...no sense of urgency to urinate or anything else unusual.
Avatar n tn Just wanted to share my news.. I'm still kind of in shock lol. I'm pregnant with my fourth child and once again its a BOY! I dont think I'm meant to have a girl haha. We had our ultrasound yesterday and I am completely in love :) We cant wait to meet baby boy #4!
Avatar m tn Hi Brad, I agree with nickppatel re the leg activity in water polo. I played water polo for 6 years in my late teens to early twenties (then joined the military) and I have a full understanding on the amount of leg work required just to play water polo, let alone being the goalie.
Avatar n tn Hi, I am a Junior in High School and I have had stomach issues for a while. I had GERD and Acid Reflux two years ago, but it was mostly vomiting after eating. This past year I have had really bad abdominal pain and diarrhea, which has caused me to miss a lot of school. My doctor is still doing tests to figure out what the problem is, but I am not intolerant to gluten. I have been diagnosed with constipation and am taking Miralax for that.
Avatar m tn I started him on aderall in the 2nd grade and risperidone was added in 3rd grade for his aggression. I am confused how when he is with us we do not medicate for example the weekends or school brakes and he is fine but in school he is acting out very aggressive. When he is not on the meds I see the hi energy and physical play with his brother but never to the extent of the reports I get from school. He has hit a teacher and now today hit the cart the teacher was pushing and it hurt her.
Avatar f tn The longer you avoid the place, or sitiation you fear, the harder and harder it gets by the SECOND to finally get to where you CAN face your fears. What are you doing to treat your anxiety, besides the homeschooling? Are you in talk therapy? Being that you're in school, I assume you're a teen...are you taking any medications?

Avatar n tn My seven year old has had a pretty rough start in life from a torturous abusive dad, to another that was also abusive. Both men were abusive to me as well. He is now trying to adjust to life without the abuse and it is proving to be very difficult. I cannot afford to pay a psychologist to evaluate him and the school said he was fine.
1035252 tn?1427227833 t, well I belong to a HUGE homeschooling group in my area, and I can always ask someone else. I think homeschooling is like anything else. You never know everything and continue to learn as you go. I am constantly learning new things. That's part of what makes it so fun. It truly is a journey and you get to take it w/ your kids. Anyway, I love it so let me know if I can help you, if you decide to go that route. kid44 - I am very happy for you. Girls are awesome!
Avatar f tn I have a problem with chronic pain in my left shin and have had bouts with plantar fastitis. Suddenly by shoe inserts to support my high arches feel awful. What are the right exercises and what else can I do?
700000 tn?1231287536 The only problem I have is that it is kind of a bummer in that without the flexibility in my wrist, some of my basketball and martial arts activities that I participate in currently are limited. I still live a normal life as an engineer and go to the gym 5 - 6 times per week and never feel any pain except on REALLY cold days. I recently landscaped my backyard with no problems. As far as flexibility, I was barely able to do a flat handed push up 3 years ago. I am 30 years old currently.
Avatar f tn My daughter is 25 now, and 5 years ago she broke her femur and had a titanium rod put in her leg. She's doing fine, and now she's taking tae kwando classes. She is not sure, however, if she should push herself to do kicks, etc., or to be careful not to put too much strain on her hip. She's not sure if she can increase her flexibility by pushing herself, or if she could do herself harm. How can she tell what could be helpful as opposed to what might to damage?
