Avatar m tn Thanks Lulu, that's what I originally thought until I read the Wikipedia definition. But as most of us know, anybody can write and edit Wikipedia pages :) I hope I can never check that box either...in fact I hope that nobody can ever check that box...that's a fate that I can't imagine.

Avatar n tn A normal heart rate ranges from 60-100 beats a minute resting, but there are lots of people that perfectly normal outside those boundaries. A definition of normal would also include what is the heart rate variability, how quickly does it recover after exercise, etc. If you are worried, it is probably best to ask your doctor if everything is ok. Wikipedia has a well written article also. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heart_rate I hope this helps.

Avatar m tn Thanks for your reply s-h-t-d, I could well be wrong about my self-diagnosis of HSV2. In fact the wikipedia definition and pictures looks a lot more like pearly papsules. However, is it possible that my last girlfriend could have got HSV1 from performing oral sex on me if I have HSV1? The duration was just one or two minutes but the timing of the coldsore makes us both suspicous of a coincidence. Thanks again.

7205189 tn?1447794738 I saw a neurologist who specializes in POTS and he believes that it is important to do the tilt table test to rule it out. I've only actually fainted a few times, but I definitely have all of the symptoms of POTS and have come close to fainting so many times if I am on my feet too long or in various other circumstances.
706949 tn?1228923298 I take it your reference article is in Wikipedia. From what I've seen there on heart subjects there is a lot of "good stuff", or so it appears. I understand too that some (much?) of what's there is from voluntary contirbuitons. That said, I recommend you discuss with the prescribing doctor and let s/he know you've see such-and-such as a point-of-reference ... it may even be a good idea to print out the material and take it with you.
Avatar f tn Hi, It is my understanding that Sinus Tachycardia denotes a heart rate above 100 beats per minute. Exercise can and often raises the heart above 100 BPM, and even this exercise induced elevated rhythm would be referred to as tachycardia. Sinus Tachycardia can occur from causes other than exercise as well.
Avatar m tn I have flexibility issues in almost all of my joints (Knees, elbow, wrist, ankle). Coincidentally, all the joints in the right side of my body are worse. I cannot squat as the back of my feet cannot touch my butt, my hand cannot touch my shoulder, cannot do pushup as wrist will hurt a lot. I have done xrays but doctor said my xrays are fine. Went through physiotherapy but joints flexibility does not improve no matter how much i stretched.
