flexeril

1735730 tn?1348952972 They are both muscle relaxers. I believe Zanaflex ( tizanadine) is prescribed more for back issues.
Avatar f tn Flexeril is a muscle relaxant. Sweetie, I would ask your doctor about something like that before taking anything. You never know if you will have a reaction to a medication and if it was not prescribed to you and you received it from someone else that person could potentially be in trouble with the law. I do not believe Flexeril is addictive. But, please call your doctor instead. That's just my two cents! WTG for being clean from vicodin for 3 weeks!!! AWESOME!!!
Avatar n tn My husband is on so many medications, that i am truly worried about his health and the interaction of all these drugs. I will list them all and can you please tell me if they are safe to take with one another? My husband is only 38, he had a stroke last year he had a stent put in, now he is on plavix, atenolol, hydrochlorothiazide 25mg, last week his doc added niacin 500 mg, simvastatin 20, flexeril and tramadol, also his one aspirin each day, these are just so many meds, are they safe?
Avatar m tn TMJ is a possible symptom of hypothyroidism.
1415174 tn?1453243103 Hi again has anyone tried Flexeril (muscle relaxant)? Any bad side effects and did it help pain , I have I guess myofascial pain. Any trouble with withdrawal gettnig off of it?
623065 tn?1275503695 Generally with spinal injuries, or neurosurgery, if a patient is looking at back surgery Flexeril (muscle relaxers) and Vicodin (pain killers) are the main medications used to help with the pain. If he has chopped the pills up, then he's most likely NOT abusing them. The reason I say this is because he would be taking several pills WHOLE. He probably took one and realized he was really sensitive to them, so cut them up so he could take a smaller dose so he would not be so tired.
Avatar m tn Potential for serious interaction; regular monitoring by your doctor required or alternate medication may be needed Significant: Potential for significant interaction (monitoring by your doctor is likely required) Minor: Interaction is unlikely, minor, or nonsignificant Here's the results for the meds you're asking about: ZOLOFT AND VICODIN: Significant - Monitor Closely.
1401023 tn?1280781358 It possibly could be the flexeril. I took one 10mg dose of flexeril and it made me extremely confused. Words would come out of my mouth that I never inteded to say. It was horrible. The one dose lasted for a long time and it took about 3 days for the med to completely get out of my system. I will never in my life take that med again. I have horrid panic attacks when my pain is sky high for weeks and there is no end in sight for relief. I've now started to meditate and self hypnosis.
Avatar m tn Well, I have checked out this forum quite a bit. There is a lot of valuable information on here. So here I go again. I have been down the ct withdrawal route before. It is really tough this time since I was taking more mg's a day this time around. About 80-90mg of vicodin. I went about 24hrs and was about to die ( I thought) from the stomach cramps. I did taper down just a little bit over the past couple of days. I was in so much agony today I broke down and aquired 3 more tens.
1054018 tn?1254614684 Now for the meds Vicoden hp, flexeril, sevella, lyrica, valium, remeron, coreg, vasotec, HCT and niaspan and also lomotil prn. You would think I would be like a zombie but for some reason am not only avg 3.5 to 4 hours sleep. Pain meds just dull the pain sometimes! The only drug that I can say I have received any benifit from has been the sevella and lyrica (but still twitching a good bit. Main question could these drugs be interacting with one another and I am not getting the full effect?
751951 tn?1406632863 ve been on Amantadine several weeks and it seems to help a lot with energy and stamina. Last three days I have taken one Flexeril at bedtime. Since.Tuesday, ic, likeI'm voice issue very sporadic "frozen in place" trouble with my tongue. Split second and I was back to normal. Now tonight it's intensified, and almost every sentence. Avatar f tn prescribed Medrol which I finished taking over a week ago. I have also been taking Vicodin and Flexeril. The Vicodin seems to be constipating me (bonus). The pain intensifies when I wake up and try to get out of bed, but it is not isolated and remains constant throughout the day. I've tried ice packs and heating pads. I haveHave had this for about 6 weeks. Just wondering if anyone can give me advice or a magic cure. I stopped boot camp two weeks ago.
Avatar m tn t sleep because of these constant muscle contractions in my legs and back. Last week the dr. gave me Flexeril, the muscle relaxer to help sleep. It works well but leaves me so groggy the next day. the last few days I have only been taking 1/2 or even 1/3 pill, it takes longer to sleep, but still works. Last night I tried without one and the muscle spasms were worse. Does anyone know if the Flexeril is actually causing these to last longer than they normally would?
1457315 tn?1288459746 Wry neck? That what Dr. said. Medrol dose pack twice. vicodin flexeril. C collar . massages and traction. Chiropractor. Cured! Now........It is starting up again? I don't want to go through all of that again. What is making my neck go WRY? A physical therapist at work said sleeping under a ceiling fan. Any thoughts?
Avatar f tn I have been on vicodin for a nexk injury since February. I started to see a pain doctor but I keep coming up short. It's ruining my life. I have kicked a worse addiction to oxyir several years ago. I have some klonopin 0.5mg, tizanidine and flexeril. I cant keep living this way. I'm not strong enough to taper down. Does anyone have any suggestions on things I could take. Last time I used neurontin but I don't have those this time. I haven't gotten the pain yet but I can sleep.
Avatar m tn Before I went in for my appointment I went to urgent care and they gave me an rx of flexeril and vicodin. Will that show up on my new doctors computer, or does she have to dig for that info?
Avatar f tn Vicodin is a pain reliever with tylenol. The other two are antidepressants, one an SSRI the other an SNRI. To me taking them together make no sense. They do travel different pathways in the brain/body, one holds Norephineprine where it is needed for energy and pain reduction. Serotonin is held where it is needed by both meds which help with depression. Trust your doctor. He must have assessed that your depression is serious and a source of your pain besides the Fibromyalgia.
2730764 tn?1340148833 See if your doctor can write you a prescription for some Requip for restlessness, Neurontin is a great help for anxiety and malaise, some Flexeril or Soma for a few weeks for muscle spasms and maybe some Seroquel low dose for sleep. Clonidine regulates blood pressure, creepy-crawly feeling and will make withdrawals easier. Please don't start taking the opiates again as it will only throw you back into withdrawals once you stop again, or make you relapse.
232328 tn?1207090071 I was prescribed anti-depressants along with vicodin, but the vicodin became my anti-depressant and I started abusing it, which led to more problems. Just a word of caution.
1185172 tn?1264284610 As my heading says, I was 10 days clean from vicodin - then this past monday I couldn't stand it anymore (pain from fibromyalgia) and took the vic's again. Tues & Wed the same. None yesterday and none today. I'm mad at myself, because the I had gotten thru the horrible rebound pain, I still wasn't sleeping, but did feel a sense of accomplishment. The guilt is overwhelming as is the remorse and humiliation.
232328 tn?1207090071 Hi there. I was prescribed flexeril today for some back pain. Can anyone tell me exactly what it is? If it is addicting? Will it make me sleepy/hyper, etc?
Avatar m tn Does anyone know very much about Flexeril? I just received an call from someone that thinks they may have overdosed on it. He usually does not take it and took up to ten 10mg tablets today and feels somewhat out of it. 100mg in one shot shouldn't do too much should it? He is in No. CA and I'm in So. CA so I can't get to him. Should I be concerned about him not waking up? Apparently he took six of them yesterday and I read the half life is 1-3 days.
Avatar m tn I am assuming that your family doctor has x-rays. You need to see a physical therapist and strengthen your inner core. There is nothing the doctors can do to fix the problem. The operation is far from perfect and usually results in more pain. The muscle relaxants do help some people, but can't help people with severe problems. You do need to see a neurologist and get an MRI. They will work with you, even if you don't have insurance.
