flexeril

I just hope that I can be a lesson that long term sub use does have withdrawals, and they can be severe. And this in my story. Wait2long, thank you for asking the tough questions. As addicts, we have to do that. When asked how I will know if I can staff of the hydros, guess my answer is my strength in God, and the fact I can have the life I once lived back again. I miss my old happy self. And so do my friends.
Good Morning Roxy, You are in for lots of pain. No use pretending all is going to be easy, because it is not. I am not one to sugar coat things. I want the truth, so it can be dealt with. I would like to say it is like a bed of roses. There is beauty around, but with thorns. It is all in how we handle and take care of it. I, too, have had multiple surg, with the shots, tests and so on. All of it forms this scar tissue around your arachnoid something lining...
Also if I am sore in the morning, I use a heating pad before I get up and that helps tremendously. Good luck!!!
If you do have to go to the doctor, be strong and tell him no opiates! You will make it through this!
I am a 64 year old female just diagnosed with osteoarthrosis of the lumbarsacral spine. My Dr said "you just have a little arthritis". I have severe pain in the morning which disappears after about 15 minutes. Does anyone have any suggestions of what they are doing to alleviate pain. Any specific exercises to do? Are you seeing a specialist? I take 3 Advil for pain but have not figured out how to get rid of morning excruciating pain. Thanks for any advice.
Severity of withdrawal can be estimated by considering that each 100 mg tramadol oral (hx daily use) will be roughly equivalent of 10 mg morphine (IV daily use) in severity of withdrawal symptoms. Differences are that standard opiate withdrawal seems to cause more physical illness (vomitting, diarhea, bone pain etc.) Tramadol withdrawall seems to cause significantly more anxiety and emotional distress.
My name is Dennis, I'm 42 yrs old and currently have been diagnosed with degenerative disk disorder in my lumbar area and arthritis has set in. This has been going on for over 2 years and just recently ( since December 2011) have been seeing a pain specialist regarding my uncontrollable pain. Of course she did an MRI and confirmed the diagnosis. She started me on some very mild meds, Tylenol 3, lanocane patches.
Hi and Welcome Tramadol Warriors, Please come on in and make yourself comfy. All are welcome.
-) Currently I'm in a wheelchair because I stumbled over my dogs bed and broke both lower leg bones ... for the second time in five years. I guess I shouldn't have kept myself so slender ... and should have taken my vitamins! Go figure. I have no doubt that the combination of meds you're taking aren't helping you're 'outlook' on life. No doubt that is why the doctor(s) keep trying to get you on antidepressants ... also because depression can cause pain.
I thought people were out to get me and when night came barricaded myself in the house, blocked the windows so they couldn't send in dogs, and walked form room to room in a totally blacked out house carrying a pistol all night long. And that's just a little of what went on. I know in my soul I don't have the strength to go though it again, it's by far the worst experience of my life. This in not something you want to do.
Like right now I have been up for 3 hours and I dont have any leg pain at all and a TINY amount of back and shoulder pain/tension. I have taken No Percocet today and only Taken 10 mg of flexeril which I use for my muscle relaxer cus my shoulders have huge knots in them. On top of that I had my 3rd session of Accupuncture on friday....I hope these good results are here to stay! I feel good!!

TMJ' as it is wrongly called by many) is easy to treat and self-manage or that it may all be in the patient's mind. The sources in the article stated that, "TMJ problems were originally thought to be caused by dental Malocclusion but that this was an infrequent cause of the problem". The American Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), an organization of some 40,000 of the nation's leading dentist, recognizes the relationship between maloclussion and headaches.
Topomax usage for fibromyalgia is actually what is known as " off-label" usage. It has not been cleared in Canada for use as a treatment in fibromyalgia yet. I found out about it through the psycopharmacologist I went to see. He is recommending it and I will get my GP to write a script for it next week when I see him. Maybe you could try this route as well.
Hi Tramadol Warriors, Many people have come here for many years, giving support and getting support. Because I still believe that Tramadol is unique in it's ... terror and torture of humans, this thread continues. The people who can understand what you are going thru are the people who have kicked it and there's people here who come back to lend a hand. You also will never need an understanding ear as much. You can do it. You can quit. You do not need to be a slave to Tramadol.
MY PERSONAL DIARY OF OXYCONTIN WITHDRAWAL. May I briefly fill in a little background.I am David aged 55 and employed as a postman/driver/sorter, well up until 38 months ago I had never been into hospital, well boy was that about to change.
Day 22 Cold Turkey Tramadol ... I woke up HAPPY. I used to wake up happy all the time, before the Tramadol. Waking up happy is good. Then I tried to move. I had to use my hands and arms to get up out of bed. My body has been pushed as far as it will go. So after trying all my best tricks (aminos, coffee, food, vitamins, water) I finally stopped the struggle and called in sick for work. Tomorrow will be a busier day anyhow.
But that's not the most alarming part of Tramadol in my case. In my case the antidepressant that they tacked on to the cocktail is the thing that causes all the rough psychological and mental symptoms. It's a Two Fer One! I've been feeling like I was going crazy for a long time. And in addition to that; the scary suicidal ideation. The suicidal ideation vanished and returns ONLY if I get a flare up of withdrawal symptoms. That happens if I get over stressed.
be careful with that hardware inside.I had a screw put in my knee in '87 and it is now broken in half..Ouch..do what u can and keep on going..
So far the Dragon whispering to use again has been minimal, and when it comes, I take Wiz's advice and laugh in its face, then read the forum to gain strength. Without you guys, I'd still be popping 15 vics a day and be rationalizing and justifying my reasons for doing so. Here's hoping for the ability to stay on this path.
I don't use them either. If I were in an accident or an emergency then I would go.But do the right thing, just remember fusion is a very serious surgery. But it will take care of that siatic pain, believe me.Did I understand your butt went numb also. That is a sign that the disc or the spine is pressing on the nerve and canal. You will make it though because you are a winner.Everyone reads it in your posts everyday. I really mean that.Try to stay flat and stay off your butt, don't sit for awhile.
Grady my Service Dog in training was bitten by a copperhead and has been in the Hospital all week end. I am waiting to find out if I can take him home today. Polly will not eat. Thursday I have my first visit with my Neurologist since August 2010. Hope to discuss these spasms I think of the diaphragm which started in November, my gut shutting down, my left leg not working, and all the pain I live with on a daily basis. Oh and my daily headaches which I do not expect any help with.
