That is, the micro-organism prefers low oxygen tension, so if you over exert, for example, and you starve your tissues for oxygen, that will actually stimulate the growth of these micro-organisms, or if you fly in an aircraft for a long period of time, a long flight, that can stimulate these, and so the signs and symptoms can become worse after such an event." source: http://members.aol.com/rgm1/private/nicolson.
out of bed to get ready for work. I went back up to 1.5 pills. I have been here for 3 months. I am scared to go back down. I have no mental history or issues. I have a clean bill of health other than the Methadone. I do take Flexeril to sleep at night. I want off this medicine so bad. I am a Kaiser member. Kaiser wanted to give me Prozac... NO THANK YOU! They also wanted me to go to Group Therapy to help me deal with getting off this medicine. I have a very supportive family & friends.
Im 20 years old. Ever since the first time I got my period, I had extremely severe cramps...sometimes so bad, that I threw up. It kept me home from school EVERY month I had this for at least the first two days. It gets so bad that it leaves me in tears. My husband is in the military which means I have to go to a military hospital (Reynolds Army Hospital - the worst hospital i EVER went to).
I had looked it up on drugs . com and was not sure if it would do as good as valium. The last time I tried to stop I was taking ultram and hydro. That ultram was a hard one to stop, even though I was still taking the hydro I was depressed from stopping the ultram, I have been off of them over a year now and have kept my dose low. I still am tried of taking them and would like to try to stop, if I can handle the pain. Thanks for the feedback.
Flexeril is a muscle relaxant, not considered a narcotic, but I've heard it can be habit forming so I think you'd be better off without it, or only for a short period of time. I agree with dede21, you don't want to trade addictions. Check out the thomas recipe as there are some really great tips in there.
Does Metronidazole affect your menstrual period, making it start earlier or later? Please, if you could answer these questions for me! Thank you much!
I had/have fatigue, exercise intolerance, muscle spasms daily, and muscle cramps that would wake me up in the middle of the night in random places. These cramps were similar to getting a charley horse, but in my neck, bicep, traps, or hip/thigh. That muscle would be sore or "pulled" feeling all the next day. I also was having arthritic symptoms in both hands, feet joints, and knees. They tested me for gout and Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) but both tests came up negative.
I have taken flexeril with Aleve for my spasms and it works well. It does make me woozzy, Dr. px. 10mg... waayy too strong for me ( my walking friend use to take 10mg and was fine ) so I cut them in quarters , 2.5mg and not until after I'm sure I won't have to drive .. I am a notorious light weight when t comes to these kinds of drugs , pain meds also. I had nerve and muscle testing this week . This dr. was fantastic .. took his time and TALKED to me .
See if your doctor can write you a prescription for some Requip for restlessness, some Flexeril or Soma for a few weeks for muscle spasms and maybe some Seroquel low dose for sleep. It will make withdrawals easier. Please don't start taking the Percocets again as it will only throw you back into withdrawals once you stop again, or make you relapse. Valerian and Magnesium is sometimes helpful remedies over the counter.
Hello. I am a 24 year old female, and I am looking for help, support, suggestions, opinions, and/or like experiences. I have many different symptoms; some I have had for years, but many are very recent. I can't help but wonder if everything that is wrong with me is related in some way. I have always suffered with gastrointestinal problems such as diarrhea, bloating, severe cramps, and gas. When I was 15, I was diagnosed with IBS and Lactose Intolerant.
This was to much for us to handle and over a period of 10 years our health declined rapidly. It is something to consider. Sometimes you have to look outside the standards of western medicine to find answers.
Relapses can be short or last for years, so to be dx with PPMS there can be no impovements detected over a very long period. To be PPMS, there can't be any prior history of improvements, nothing at all to indicate a remittence pattern is or could be still happening and if your sx's did use to remitt but now they dont, then that indicates a progression from RRMS to SPMS.
And he prescribed flexeril for my back and shoulder pain and told me to tale tylenlol I was taking 8 a day to try to control the pain to me thats too many pills i don't take any meds currently or tylenol I don't want to depend on flexeril for the rest of my life either it doesn't work for me anyway also my new doctor discovered I have had tumor cysts on my ovaries occuring frequently months at a time I have no PCOS or stds he said come back if I am having more issues but I haven't had the extr
Xanax at first sign of restlessness and mental anguish. Flexeril for muscle cramps, body aches and leg pains. Ambien or Halcion for sleeplessness. All of the above drugs are only to be taken when absolutely needed, and no more than 1 week supply. It is sad that I must report I am addicted to all of them now, including others, because I was obviously kidding myself about wanting to get clean at that time. Hot baths, as many as you need when the pain is bad.
We often see this type of pain in patients who undergo decompressive surgery for Chiari malformations, as well as patients undergoing spine surgery (in nearby locations for other reasons.) You are 3+ months into your post-operative period, but this can be seen as a delayed effect as well. At our institution, we typically prescribe muscle relaxants like Flexeril (generic name Cyclobenzaprine) or a benzodiazepine like Valium (generic name Diazepam) to relieve this type of pain.
Although the pain would be non-existent during my period and for a few days after, that too changed when I stopped getting a period at all, roughly 3 years ago. Doctors cannot find anything wrong and I appear to be fertile and healthy. I too get the pain at times after walking or slight exercise or bowel movements but the one I hate most is when you get one in the middle of the night when you were fast asleep and suddenly wake in excrutiating pain because you had an erotic dream.
It didnt' go away until I (very begrudingly) agreed to a short term script for celexa. the exact med you don't want to take WITH tram but will if taken for 3-6 mo. period will open the pathways and get things regenerating. (ultram 200mg/day or more will take at least a month to clear your system. I'd bet my bottom dollar that your pain is blocked pathways and partly to blame is the cold turkey process involving trams. cold turkey offf opioids ***** but it won't kill you.
Another difference is length of acute withdrawall period; 4-6 days for opiates, 5-9 days for tramadol. Secondary withdrawall varied widely, but though a matter of weeks or months, symptoms DO resolve and successfull recoverers report that in retrospect this period was "more a matter of patience, rather than the teeth grinding endurance" of the first week.
All he wanted to do was put me on Inderal for Bloodpressure because he didn't know what to do for me. Any suggestions would be greatful.
2009 i decided to try the family practice physician he listen to my symptoms and sent me to get ultrasounds for my constant right hip pain.
Today is Wednesday and I feel great! I got through my detox period, no more pills for me! I was so scared I wasn't going to be able to handle it, but I did it! For anyone out there who is still struggling, please read my message, you can do it! Even though Ive only been sober for a couple of days, I feel absolutely great today. I even went on a bikeride when my cravings started to become unbearable and it helped!
Dr. has now prescribed Flexeril for muscle spasms. He now thinks that my problem are not hemorrhoids but a spasm in my rectum (levator ani syndrome????). When I get up in the morning I feel OK, then after my bowel movement (yes, my stools are soft) which occurs right after breakast, my rectum and anal area start to ache and it never stops until I lie down and fall asleep in the night. I have taken 2 pills of Flexeril so far and they make me very drowsy but no improvement so far.
I understand that there are others who have used Valium, Ativan, Klonopin, Xanax, etc. for a short period of time during w/d's and it helped to take the edge off of the worst symptoms, but your body has then become accustomed to a medicinal sleep, and it would take awhile to get back to normal.

I just got a thank you. You answer my posts everytime. I have really appreciated the advice you have offered. The last thing I want to do is to start taking another pill that's going to get me in trouble. I have heard that I need to drink a ton but thanks for reiterating that. Your comments have been greatly appreciated. My legs and shoulders cramped so bad last night that I woke up at 3:00 a.m. and couldn't get back to sleep because of it. When you're operating on about 31/2 hrs.
USUALLY THEY USE ATIVAN FOR WITHDRAWAL, PHENERGAN FOR THE NAUSEA, BENTYL FOR CRAMPING,IBU 800 Q8 FOR PAIN, FLEXERIL FOR MUSCLE SPASMS ASSOC. W/ OPIATE WITHDRAWAL!! CONSULT A LOCAL DETOX IF YOU CAN'T DO IT!IF YOU ARE A ADDICT IS IS UNLIKELY THAT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO DO THIS ALONE, AND IF SO REMAINING OPIATE FREE IS GOING TO BE A TASK..TRY NA/AA..
perhaps talk to your doctor about sumpin for sleep...there are some safe meds out there..many not intended for sleep but have that side effect of drowsiness....flexeril, phenergan and even benadryl which is over the counter..valerian root works well for some...melatonin did not hit my "sleep spot" either...just made me feel lethargic in the am but no real good sleep... sleep is important to recovery expecially is you work...if you are tired and worn out then you get weaker..
