Avatar n tn I swear by Flexeril! I have dealt with Chiari symptoms for over 20 years now and now if I take a Flexeril right when the headache starts to come on, I fall asleep and wake up as if I never had the headache. It is a miracle drug for Chiari headaches!!
20919253 tn?1651735373 Buy Darvocet Online Introduction Choosing to live with severe pain makes it hard to function daily. It affects each part of life, from sanitation to trying to cook, friendships to falling asleep. I've had painful symptoms since I was in preschool.
Avatar f tn I received an email from Dr. B who agrees that I do, indeed, need the flexeril to address the deep tissue spasms I'm having as I recover. BUT, he also stated that I SHOULD NOT still be on the Dilaudid, much less be increasing the dosage as THAT is highly addictive!! Dilaudid is the drug this pain doc is pushing me to increase....huh?!!! Why would you do that? I'm asking for the correct amount of pills per their dosage prescribed....no more, no less.
Avatar f tn t blame you for not wanting to drop the gabapentin for the nerve pain. I take it for the same reason and could not see dropping the dose. Good luck with the changes!
1415174 tn?1453243103 I've tried both Soma and Flexeril (not at same time!) for muscle relaxers (I have fibromyalgia, lupus, severe arthritis). Really the only side effect I've experienced with the Flexeril is that it makes me VERY sleepy, but when I'm hurting and having trouble getting the rest that I need, that actually is a good thing!
Avatar m tn Wow, I'm out of action for at least 16 hours after just one Flexeril! And for the entire next day I'm a space cadet.
232328 tn?1207090071 Hi there. I was prescribed flexeril today for some back pain. Can anyone tell me exactly what it is? If it is addicting? Will it make me sleepy/hyper, etc?
Avatar f tn My back is really bothering me!! Hurts so bad and can't relax for anything!! I'm 35 weeks and really want to! Has anyone taken a muscle relaxer or even a half of one?
Avatar n tn If you look at the label on cough syrup for children, even those typically recommend for age 6 and up (at least the brands I have seen.) When my 2 1/2 year old has a cold with a cough I give him milk slightly warmed with honey in it. I have also given him a teaspoon of honey on it's own. It works extremely well.
Avatar f tn I have been prescribed Flexeril for over a year, as a muscle relaxant for long term back and neck pain... I was told it was a 'safe' drug, and not to worry about it - it was not addicting. Now, after taking it for this long, I have re-read the patient information packet, and see that it is only for short term use, and I cannot find information on how to titrate off. I get migraine headaches whenever I stop taking it for any length of time, as well as other symptoms...
Avatar f tn flexeril is not a drug of abuse as a norm..and good for u...made it thru to day 5..
Avatar n tn I'm worried! My fiancee' has been prescribed Tramadol, which worked very well for him but he has gone through 40 pills in 10 days and the way his dr. wrote his script it says "use 1-2 tablets every 8 hours as needed" so he cannot get a refill for another 2 weeks. He saw a local dr. who prescribed Flexeril, Percocet and Naproxen.
14195784 tn?1435290693 Its been going on for about 2 months now. I could be walking down the hall and i feel hot water on my cheeks and find that im crying. Most the time i dont feel sad or over happy or really anything and there is nothing ever in my eyes when the tears start to fall. I have seen myself cry, my face gets red and my eyes swell up and in all the times i found myself randomly crying my face is never red or my eyes are not puffy.
Avatar n tn Children weighing 88 pounds and over should follow the recommended adult dose schedule. Children weighing under 88 pounds will have their dosage determined by their weight.
Avatar m tn I have been suffering from on and off again lower back pain and sciatica for the past year. I also have GAD, BPH,and high blood pressure. I went to see the Ortho today and he prescribed 10mg hyro and 10 mg Flexeril until I can schedule PT again. I am going to make sure to go through all 3 weeks so that my cheap insurance will pay for an MRI. I had one a little over a year ago thatt revealed a bulged disc at L4 or L5...can't remember which.
Avatar f tn I would avoid the alcohol while taking the flexeril completely. If you already were consuming alcohol, I would skip the flexeril for at least 12 hours or more, depending upon how much alcohol you consumed.
Avatar f tn I am prescribed quite a few pain meds and benzo's for Chronic pain and anxiety but need advice on getting off Fentanyl Patch ASAP. Avatar m tn I'm glad to hear you got some relief from Flexeril. It didn't do anything for my pain at all. It only made me feel stoned and hungover. I'd be careful drinking with it, particularly because you just started taking it. You might experience some kind of cumulative effect after taking a few doses.
3139924 tn?1342837477 5/500 for a little over a year now for chronic back pain. I started out as 2 a day..one in the morning and one at night then it went up to 1 every 6 hrs. I never took more than the recommended dosage because of the affects acetaminophen has on the liver, BUT I was still taking them for more other than pain. It got worse after my mom died in December. The pills made me get through the day. I knew I was dependent of them.
Avatar f tn I took 20mg a day off and on, like twice a week for 2 years, and then started taking the 20 mg every day for the last 13 years. I plan to wean off, and am wondering what to expect as of withdrawal symptoms. Also, does anyone know of a natural med I could take in it's place?
Avatar f tn Flexeril is not addictive if you use it only when needed I took it for years for a bad back but you dont get hi on it so for the most part if taken as directed your ok just stay away from soma that is a different story...................................Gnarly.....................................
907968 tn?1292622204 I imagine they're trained to know which medications work best for which heart problems. As for dosage, I'm not sure. If you look at a PDR the book mentions standard dosages for children, adults and geriatric folks. I know with the antibiotics I use at work we choose which antibiotic works best for which type of injury or specific bacteria. I always calculate dosage according to species (mammals have a different calculation compared to birds or reptiles) and weight.
