Flexeril and vicodin together

Common Questions and Answers about Flexeril and vicodin together

flexeril

are these drugs safe together in the dosages I mentioned above and 2.
My injury and subsequent problems brought on depression and low self esteem as well as weight gain and I found the Vicodin gave me a "euphoric feeling" and I could get through the day. What I found amazing is that my doctor kept okaying my prescriptions. I have tried many times to quit - sometimes as long as two weeks but the utter exhaustion and depression made it hard to keep going. Through this I have managed a full time job and taking care of a teenager.
She also doubled my dose of a med at night for periodic limb movements and gave me flexeril for at night too. I see a psychiatrist tomorrow and will ask him (her question) should we double the dose of cymbalta (if yes w/b 120 mg) or try something new for the 2 types of depression that I have. Are there any medical opinions out there before I go to my appt.?
My fiance has been addicted to Vicodin for about 3 yeas now. We've been together for a year and I've known about his addiction for about 6 months now. Ill admit I haven't been the best support for him because I'm so tired of him constantly lying about taking them and if dragging me a long to go buy them. I've been better about it recently tho. He recently has "stopped" taking them but I can usually tell when he takens them by how slow he talks and his pupils and his amount of energy.
to which I became dependant on.   Physically and emotionally.  My boyfriend and I live together, and he's addicted too.  He's actually prescribed to it as he has knee and back trouble.    About a year ago I went to a doctor and he gave me suboxin.  8 mg, twice a day.  So basically we share the vicodin when he gets it and the suboxin when I get it.  I tried to stop taking the suboxin, and the withdrawals are worse then the vicodin withdrawals.
I had this conversation with my Aunt around 32WKS (who is an RN) and she gave me 5 Vicodin (who has been prescribed for migraines). She told me only take when needed, & that they are safe to take during pregnancy (because she, as well took them during her last pregnancy) She's family-& a nurse so I trust her. I am on Medicaid, however & was recently informed that by state, upon receiving government assistance you give consent to a drug test (Mom & baby) upon birth.
I had been taking vicodin for 10 years and then my dr. left for good and my new one decided to wean me by giving me 30 pills for the first week to wean me and then just stopped giving me them!!! now I have had to go cold turkey for the last week so bad thought about killing myself . But naw that wont do so here I am suffering , still can not sleep at night no energy no motivation no hope . This has got to be hell !!!! I am hoping that tommorro will be better for me and then it isnt.
This is day 3 and a half that I have not taken vicodin! I have been using it everyday for about a year and a half.
A group of Saddam look alikes were brought together and told there was good and bad news. Good News: Saddam is still alive so you are all still employed. Bad News: He lost an arm and a leg. Other than that.. me w/ a new pet.. Someone asked a friend who owns a Beautiful white shephard.. Would you shoot your pet for a Million Dollars? Reply (instant): "Up the ass? Or between the eyes?" Thx again, hippee for your last post~ Rode w/ C.
I'm dizzy and sleepy in the daytime, but I take other things like Vicodin 750, Klonopin, Flexeril and Ambien, and Paxil. I gained weight with the Diabetes, so I can't tell. But I loved carbs before all of this.
If you have been taking oxycontin, vicodin, ETC, and then run out of them, will tramadol help with the withdrawls, or keep them from happening? For example, I dont get high off tylenol3's or darvocet, but if i run out of the Stronger narcotics then if I can get those I would because they help keep the withdrawl away. So will Tramadol do the same thing? Or is it a non-narcotic that would be just about the same as popping Motrin? Any help on this would be great...
I had gastric bypass surgery 17 months ago and lost 107 pounds but have regained 20 pounds. She took me off of Neurontin and Flexeril because of weight gain and I am in severe pain and cannot sleep. I now find out Depakote puts on weight. I have heard that Topmax helps with the weight. Any advice?
I had a doctor that insisted I take antidepressants and I was irritable all the time, too. Life got a bit better when I STOPPED taking the antidepressants. I take Vicodin, Flexeril and Etodolac daily. Yes, I "pay in pain" for lifting and other activities, but I can at least work toward dealing with some of my problems. I couldn't do that while taking antidepressants! Hope all this helps, some how.
If you think its gonna be bad...its gonna be bad! If your anxiety gets bad and bp rises..take an ativan. I would try and save the xanax for sleep. By tomo you will have muscle cramps esp in your legs..the flexeril will help with that..and lots of hot baths. And of course you will need the immodium too! Take it as soon as you first get a tummy ache..before you start having bathroom problems. Keep posting so we can help you as much as possible. I have been where you are..
He assured me that my Bowels are are clear and that the Endo can cause the spasms and pain I am having in my rectum. I chose to go the route of BC pills, and also ha gave me a scip for Flexeril and pain meds. He wants me to take the BC pill for a month or so along with the other meds and he said hopefully I should start feeliong better in a few weeks.
The doctor says I should recover but it is so hard. I was on pain killers, vicadin and tramadol but got off and now I'm mostly on Flexeril and NSAID's and some supplements and doing accupunture, biofeedback and walking. Sometimes strife and similar experiences bring people together. I also take Klonopin at night for a migraine variant that I've had for 20 years. I still get looks from new doctors when I tell them which meds i'm on.
I am coming off 6-7 norcos a day for 7 months (but have been down to 8 vicodin and have been having chills etc). Yesterday was my last day of having pills...and I am glad I want to quit. I do....I am so filled with guilt and worry about what I have done to my body (I have to children 4 and 7 months) I want them to have a mommy. I mentioned earlier that I took 2 ultrams to keep of the withdrawls..the chills/sweats are horrible. I don't want to take the ultram.
Pain (boring) behind eye with pain in face, sinuses, down into neck relieved only with Vicodin and Flexeril. (Monday left side and Wednesday right side). Also this week (feeling that neck) being forced to the right with pain. Paresthesias and pain particularly right worse this week. Note: I have noticed when at rest and not using right hand, a clenched fist tightly around my thumb. Still having hemifacial and lower eyelid spasms. ALL, I think he might be taking me seriously now.
Thanks for your support guys, I went ot my doctor last friday and confronted her about the drug test results and my pain condition and she kinda stepped back a bit and gave me back my flexeril and upped my xanax for me,.....she also gave me a sample tube of "VOLTAREN GEL" which is some new anti-inflamatory drug, it comes with some small strips of paper that you squeeze the gel onto for an exact measurment and then apply to whatever area is affected,....
cant find a new doc, mine is a jerk and wont perscribe me anything more then a few vicodin a month cause he says everyone gets additicted to them. now he sent me to see another spine doctor only because i called up to him and spoke with the nurse and she alerted me to something in med. files that i finally found out was alarming and was not told of. so here goes and was urgently sent for an mri.
So I dug up some more info that I wanna share ... in case you are dying of curiousity. Or need more info like I do. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http***mb.rxlist.com/rxboard/ultram.pl?noframes;read=3179 not just for breakfast anymore Posted By: mkny Date: Friday, 21 October 2005, at 3:53 a.m.
After two months, I went back to the doctor and told him the Vicodin was not working and he wrote me a script for 90 Lortab x 4 refills. Six weeks later I return to the doctor and told him again that this medication was not working and he then wrote me another script for 120 Percosets x 2 refills. My point is that a doctor can certainly play a role in addiction. He/She has the responsibility to question and/or inform the patient of possible addiction from persisten use of narcotics.
Welcome to Part 6! Please make yourself at home!
Believe me, the alcoholic/addict in me wants to seek out my favorite drugs of vicodin, demerol even flexeril but its not an option. I must make arrangements for a massage and take 2 tylenol. Supplementing the hot and cold compresses to alleviate the knotted muscles. The pain can bring me down because it is usually intense and requires me to move carfeully. I slip into the pity party without telling anyone.
Hi; My Rheumy put me on Ultram ER 200mg 2X a day. He also gave me Flexeril( a muscle relaxer) and Restoril mild sleeping pill. My internist put me on Zoloft 150mg a day and he also put me on Norco for the break through pain. I do use Lidoderm patches also for my lower back and knees. Give your meds a couple of days to get into your system, sometimes it's hit and miss until they find the right combination that works for you.
i'm feeling very low today. my husband and daughter went out for their weekly tuesday dinner together...it's nice. now it's just me (and my neurotic dog) and my thoughts...i feel like i'm truly going nuts. no doubt about it, the buprenex helps, but at this very low dose it is hardly touching the anxiety. i don't know what to do...i ordered more to arrive the 18th, which is the absolute earliest they would allow.
That's interesting, for sure. The tailbone, the vagina and the rectum are very close together. It makes sense that nerve damage to the tailbone area could also affect sexual functioning and might produce the "butt cramps" we experience. The other things I've read that realistically seem to be be associated with Proctalgia Fugax are Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Endometriosis.
I can only lift my arms sideways up so far or straight up or behind me. My husband and I have to shower together because I can't shampoo my own hair even. Even combing or brushing is an effort. And so far they are searching for the answer to this one. They have taken x-rays to make sure nothing is broken again. But leaning more towards an arthritic condition or tendonitis I think. I don't know but I'm not so sure.
I have talked to the neurosurgeon who did the surgery and he shrugged his shoulders and said I have no idea and sent me back to my neurologist. He gave me a series of injections in both shoulders and the pain stopped for a couple days but then came right back. Then we tried message therapy, it helps but only for a short period. And I have tried changing my pillows on my bed and sleeping in different positions and nothing seems to help for long term. What can I do?
