Flexeril and vicodin together

Common Questions and Answers about Flexeril and vicodin together

flexeril

Avatar f tn Flexeril is a muscle relaxant. Sweetie, I would ask your doctor about something like that before taking anything. You never know if you will have a reaction to a medication and if it was not prescribed to you and you received it from someone else that person could potentially be in trouble with the law. I do not believe Flexeril is addictive. But, please call your doctor instead. That's just my two cents! WTG for being clean from vicodin for 3 weeks!!! AWESOME!!!
1415174 tn?1453243103 Hi again has anyone tried Flexeril (muscle relaxant)? Any bad side effects and did it help pain , I have I guess myofascial pain. Any trouble with withdrawal gettnig off of it?
623065 tn?1275503695 Generally with spinal injuries, or neurosurgery, if a patient is looking at back surgery Flexeril (muscle relaxers) and Vicodin (pain killers) are the main medications used to help with the pain. If he has chopped the pills up, then he's most likely NOT abusing them. The reason I say this is because he would be taking several pills WHOLE. He probably took one and realized he was really sensitive to them, so cut them up so he could take a smaller dose so he would not be so tired.
Avatar f tn I was just diagnosed with an autoammune disease and don't want to take plaquenil just yet. Doctor said to take celebrex and a muscle relaxer. I have been taking 1 mg of xanax for 3 weeks and before that it was about twice a week as needed. I was having such anxiety and sleep issues rhemy said to take it every day. Now 3 weeks later she wants to try the new coctail of celebrex and muscle relaxer.
Avatar f tn prescribed Medrol which I finished taking over a week ago. I have also been taking Vicodin and Flexeril. The Vicodin seems to be constipating me (bonus). The pain intensifies when I wake up and try to get out of bed, but it is not isolated and remains constant throughout the day. I've tried ice packs and heating pads. I haveHave had this for about 6 weeks. Just wondering if anyone can give me advice or a magic cure. I stopped boot camp two weeks ago.
Avatar m tn Well, I have checked out this forum quite a bit. There is a lot of valuable information on here. So here I go again. I have been down the ct withdrawal route before. It is really tough this time since I was taking more mg's a day this time around. About 80-90mg of vicodin. I went about 24hrs and was about to die ( I thought) from the stomach cramps. I did taper down just a little bit over the past couple of days. I was in so much agony today I broke down and aquired 3 more tens.
Avatar m tn What I am wondering is, has anyone used Flexeril to help them sleep at night? My husband has some, and I am just remembering how hard it was to sleep. I will have to use something to help sleep at night because I work Mon-Fri 8:00-5:00.
Avatar m tn ve been dealing with major back and neck pain for the last week. Yesterday around 11a, I took a 5mg Flexeril and boy did it do wonders. After a brief nap, most of my pain greatly subsided. The following hours, about 10p, I did see an uptick in stiffness but nothing compared to the pain before the Flexeril. I know Flexeril has an unusually long half-life, about 18 hrs.
Avatar m tn t sleep because of these constant muscle contractions in my legs and back. Last week the dr. gave me Flexeril, the muscle relaxer to help sleep. It works well but leaves me so groggy the next day. the last few days I have only been taking 1/2 or even 1/3 pill, it takes longer to sleep, but still works. Last night I tried without one and the muscle spasms were worse. Does anyone know if the Flexeril is actually causing these to last longer than they normally would?
Avatar m tn I have a lot of chronic pain problems with my knee, I had surgery on it a while ago, it has arthritis in it now, it bothers me everyday, I have herniated discs in my lower back and and problems with my left ankle. I have been on all sorts of meds in the past, including vicodin and percocet. My orthopedic Dr. told me before I could mix tylenol with advil and it would equal a pain pill without the narcotic effect.
Avatar n tn I have flexeril and do think it could aid with sleep and anxiety...maybe rls to some extent as well...

Avatar m tn I have been on all sorts of meds in the past, including vicodin and percocet. My orthopedic Dr. told me before I could mix tylenol with advil and it would equal a pain pill without the narcotic effect. I don't remember how many of each to take and how many hours apart to take each of them. Is this safe? I would rather take these then go back on pain meds! Thanks!
Avatar f tn I have been on vicodin for a nexk injury since February. I started to see a pain doctor but I keep coming up short. It's ruining my life. I have kicked a worse addiction to oxyir several years ago. I have some klonopin 0.5mg, tizanidine and flexeril. I cant keep living this way. I'm not strong enough to taper down. Does anyone have any suggestions on things I could take. Last time I used neurontin but I don't have those this time. I haven't gotten the pain yet but I can sleep.
Avatar m tn Before I went in for my appointment I went to urgent care and they gave me an rx of flexeril and vicodin. Will that show up on my new doctors computer, or does she have to dig for that info?
Avatar m tn I got in my car to go to work, was looking for my wallet in my car consol, and there it was, a 5/500 vicodin. I took it. Didnt do a thing for me. Still felt like **** and was so tired from not sleeping the previous 3 days. Physically, i feel fantastic. i forgot what this felt like. Still some trouble sleeping, alot of broken sleep. But nonetheless, there is sleep occuring. Wake in the morning with major cravings, but they pass as i get on with the day.
Avatar f tn I'm new to this forum.  About 4 years ago I started to take vicodin...to which I became dependant on.   Physically and emotionally.  My boyfriend and I live together, and he's addicted too.  He's actually prescribed to it as he has knee and back trouble.    About a year ago I went to a doctor and he gave me suboxin.  8 mg, twice a day.  So basically we share the vicodin when he gets it and the suboxin when I get it.
1563995 tn?1296002197 My fiance still has his vicodin from getting his tooth pulled and i have not an ounce of desire to take one. Im not worried about the mental part at all, i got that down :) I WAS worried about how I was gonna adjust to life without those little yellow devils (norcos) because when you live your life a certain way for so long, i thought itd be the most challenging part, to readjust, but now that i feel better, i feel just like i did when i was on them.
Avatar m tn I have hashimotos By the way. I am asking because i am hanving jaw tension and pain now and want to take the flexeril but i am afraid it might trigger my hyop tyroidism.

604266 tn?1236358985 I have never heard of, and cant imagine, anyone developing a problem wth flexeril. Relax and let the meds do their job - and hopefully the flexeril will work effectively for you....
1460652 tn?1340248730 then i was involved in a car accident and was prescribed flexeril 7 days ago. the palps started 30 mins after the first pill. i just thought it was stress from the accident and "oh great, the skips are back"...until they became debilitating, and my bp dropped to 90/50, where as it is usually 115/75.i went to the dr. AGAIN and he said to go see a cardioloist AGAIN.
Avatar m tn My big fear is epilepsy Oxy use to make me shake and bite my tongue but since i been on 200mg Lamictal it has stopped I read Flexeril may cause seizure but then I also read the opposite. Even if I am not epileptic I like to play it safe as my Doc is out, and the pharmacy worker never seems to know anything. So does Flexeril increase seizure risk or is that just for (diagnosed) epileptics? I don't want to add it to the oxy and have a attack.
Avatar n tn So I was taking 1 vicodin and 2 ultracets in the morning, 3 ulracets in the afternoon, 1 vicodin 2 ultracets in the evening and 3 ultracets in the night! Well today is day 2 of no pills but my xanex to help me sleep and my lexapro. im sweating, then im cold, I got the runs!
558096 tn?1255887002 CAn I take these two together? I'm on an EXTREME taper on the hydro's and wanted to see if they were ok to take together so I can get some freakin sleep at night!
Avatar f tn I had bug swollen bulge on the back of my neck, my right pinkie was numb, I had sharp, short flashes of pain down my arm. The ER gave me vicodin and sent me on my way. I was still in a lot of pain and insisted on an Xray. They found my cervical curve was reversed. The doc told me it would be a while before I felt better. A neurologist referrred me to get an MRI and they found I had an atypical broad based hernitation at C5-C6.
217229 tn?1192762404 m dizzy and sleepy in the daytime, but I take other things like Vicodin 750, Klonopin, Flexeril and Ambien, and Paxil. I gained weight with the Diabetes, so I can't tell. But I loved carbs before all of this.
Avatar n tn I did some research and the use together and cannot a contraindication of taking toe two together. Often a physician will order a NSAID and a narcotic but usually they do not add acetaminophen with the narcotic. So I will end this would please call a pharmacist. They can best advise you in this area. Etodolac has a longer life than Vicodin and it take time to build up in your system. I hope Vicodin will help relieve your pain. Best of luck to you. Please let us know how you are doing.
