flexeril and tylenol

I pulled a muscle in my neck last week and my dr wrote me flexeril 5mg and im 16 weeks, seemed to help alot!

The first few days were ok, just interrupted sleep but last night... NOTHING. I took a tylenol PM and that was no help. Any suggestions for something over-the-counter that may help me sleep and get rid of these damn night sweats?

Went to the urgent care and he advised to try to see if just Tylenol, rest, heating/icing would relieve any pain but gave me a prescription for flexeril, a muscle relaxer, and a pain medication. I am nervous to take either but nothing else has done much so far. I can barely walk upright. Has anyone ever taken muscle relaxers pregnant? I plan on calling my ob tomorrow when they open again but wanted advice.

Ive been having alot of pain in my left leg and went to the dr she gave me flexeril and she said it was safe just to take as needed I hate taking anything especially since im pregnant. I dont drink smoke or eat high fat or sugary food this is a big change for me.back to flexeril has anyone else taken this for sciatica while pregnant? The pain unbearable and pain makes my sugar go up since I am a type 2 diabetic. Im worried it will cause problems.

I am worried about getting addicted since I have to take it like 4 times a day and it has been a couple weeks now, and I am still in terrible pain, and I tried not taking the oxy and tylenol for 2 days and only took some advil - but it is 3:30 am in and finally took the oxy because I was in too much pain to sleep. Does this mean I will become an addict? Please someone give me some incite.

I remained on Oxycodone, as well as the Mobic (which was renewed finally) and Tylenol (3 500mg tabs per dose) to manage the pain so I could function at work for most of the last 3 months. But when I saw my doctor yesterday, he decided to change things up.

Flexeril isn't narcotic or addictive. On the other hand, Somas are. Flexeril should be ok to take.

I have hashimotos By the way. I am asking because i am hanving jaw tension and pain now and want to take the flexeril but i am afraid it might trigger my hyop tyroidism.

I'm 36 weeks today, my back hurts I've done everything, and so irritated. Anybody have any other ideas for comfort? Like I said I've tried everything literally. Pillows, bath, laying on different sides, tea warming blanket etc.

i talked to my Dr and she actually prescribed Flexeril, which i was weary about but she swore up and down it was okay once youre this far along (i was 37 wks when she rx'd it). she also said that using something like bengay or the tylenol precise muscle cream might help. she said it was from the baby sitting on sciatic nerve. it was REALLY painful! one night of the flexeril helped it completely and didnt even need it again. also, i put a mattress pad on my bed and that helped a ton also...

My big fear is epilepsy Oxy use to make me shake and bite my tongue but since i been on 200mg Lamictal it has stopped I read Flexeril may cause seizure but then I also read the opposite. Even if I am not epileptic I like to play it safe as my Doc is out, and the pharmacy worker never seems to know anything. So does Flexeril increase seizure risk or is that just for (diagnosed) epileptics? I don't want to add it to the oxy and have a attack.

who prescribed Flexeril, Percocet and Naproxen. The Naproxen made him very sick as well as angry (the anger could also be from coming off of the Tramadol) so now he's taking Percocet and Flexeril. I used to be a Pharmacy Tech so I know the combination of all these drugs can be (or is) dangerous and initially (while on Tramadol) he didn't use the Percocet but I found out he was using the Flexeril with the Tramadol.

I been taking flexeril for years because of muscle pain due to Lupus and for the last 2 months have been being treated for severe indigestion as a side effect of the med Verapimil. I was wondering if the flexeril could relax the sphincter muscle that is involved in GERD? I used flexeril for back pain, and to be honest it did nothing...The doctor told me it was going to make me sleepy and it did not...It is a muscle relaxent... I ws on the 10mg dose.... So then he switched me to zanaflex, and i can only take it at nite because it makes me knock out....I don't take it all the time, only when my back is hurting as i think that one can be addicting i am sure others will give you their experience on it!

My back is really bothering me!! Hurts so bad and can't relax for anything!! I'm 35 weeks and really want to! Has anyone taken a muscle relaxer or even a half of one?

m going again tomorrow to perhaps get off of flexeril and maybe get a monitor to take home. Has anyone had this happen to them when on Flexeril? I noticed that the skipped beats got worse with the supplements i'm on too but don't know if these should cause such an event.

I've had bad lower back, tailbone, and pelvic pain. My doctor prescribed flexiril and pain meds. I take them as needed, I usually take half of a muscle relaxer though cause they make me so sleepy!

taperme~ I have tried motrin. I interval motrin and aleve because if I stick to just one it doesn't do much of anything. so I take motrin 2x a day and aleve 1-2x a day. Tylenol 4x a day. some really cool things to update on. after I created my thread I went and got a hot bath, then put on a lidoderm patch and a heat wrap. I went to bed with nearly NO pain!!

What does your child need it for? I ask this way because of the ongoing epidemic of Prescription drug abuse by children who get it at home or from friends who get it at home etc. And you did good asking but better to ask your doc. Hi group, I had a cortisone injection into a trigger point or my spot where it hurts and I keep getting reinjured (nervous system is oversensitized) and I'm deconditioned. How long does it take to work completely and how long will it last. My problem is chronic pain and inflammation.

My hips feel like they are breaking when i try to roll over. The only thing that eases the pain is flexeril which my obgyn prescribed for my pain to help me sleep. Talk with your doc and see if they cant give you some muscle relaxers, they really help with the pain. And if you have insomnia like me, they will put you straight to sleep and you'll sleep all night; until of course you have to pee.
