Your story breaks my heart as I lost my 14-year-old dog, Chica, to this exact disease on January 4. The vomiting is so awful to watch in the end as it just goes on and on and on... There are many anti emetic meds to try. Has your vet not prescribed anything? Reglan (metoclopromadine) is a very cheap medication, unfortunately, it is also metabolized in the kidneys, so a too high dose results in toxic levels in the blood.
Ground whole grain corn, chicken by-product meal, animal fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols and citric acid), liver flavor, flaxseed, soybean oil, powdered cellulose, dried beet pulp, fish oil, corn gluten meal, dicalcium phosphate, dried egg product, iodized salt, dl-methionine, potassium chloride, choline chloride, natural flavor, vitamins (l-ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate (source of vitamin C), vitamin E supplement, niacin, thiamine mononitrate, vitamin A supplement, calcium pantothenate, bioti
I don't know of any holistic meds for Cushings, but I would not give your dog a higher dosage of Trilostane. Our dog is 20 lbs. and is on 30 mg. She did fine for the first month, but is now not eating. She had to be put on steriods because the vet felt her meds were working too good and her cortisol levels were too low. Now she is getting sick from the steriods.
with drugs however it can be more damaging.. I will list the aminos maily used for addiction, their dosages etc.. everything should be taken on a empty stomach... an hour b4 meals.. Take all of them together with lots of water... I have added stuff as I have done more research on this... **Please check with your doctor or pharmacist for any interactions with any meds you may be taking.
Fresh green peas,Fresh duck, extra Taurine fortified, canola oil, flaxseed, grain free, no artificial flavors, colors or bleached ingredients.. Now, question...Natural balance makes canned lid in duck, chicken, venison. All of these does have fish in the listed ingredients and since the dry does not, I wonder if it would be ok for Spook. Fish is the only other protein source that has been in all other of the dry formulas that I have fed him...
two things most HCVs already dealing with. Included in my natural regimen I also take a quality fish oil(DHA,EPA)supplement 3 times daily. Wellbutrin also helped me cut my smoking in half with no effort. Be careful, not all, but a lot of docs, succumbing to pressure from aggressive sales reps, just push the latest meds that come down the pike. Again & again I can't stress it enough: Be aware or Beware. Today you have to advocate for yourself........stay informed.
Chocolate can be poisonous to dogs, but have never known one to become sick or die from eating it. But we're not talking dogs here. If you start talking about every little thing that can be harmful, you'll not only drive us crazy...but yourself! Got high blood pressure? Try a truffle. Worried about heart disease? Buy a bon-bon. It's the best medical news in ages. Studies in two prestigious scientific journals say dark chocolate -- but not white chocolate or milk chocolate -- is good for you.
I went and bought a high mineral multi-vitamin, melatonin, samE, 5-HTP and I have protein powder to make shakes. I even bought flaxseed and omega3 fish oil because my goal after quitting the sub is to get healthy, join a gym, and do whatever it takes to get my body back on track. Is there anything else I need? I do need the Ltyrosine but they didn't have it at walmart so I will pick some up at GNC tomorrow.
You are a pretty wise person, Flaxseed oil (1oz.= 27.25 g fat) not only gives you the fat you requieres, but the Omegas 3 and 6, flavor it's not pretty good but taste better with yogurt or in shakes. Mexican chicken tamales are wonderful 14g fat, olive oil, almond oil, canola oil, 1 Tbs= 14g fat.
You can interact with humans, work, take care of your kids, do homework, play games, wash the dog, make dinner, pay bills, and live like anyone else, but you need that drug to function....to be "normal". Drugs change everything about who you are....who you once were. They change you into a completely different animal. For example, my agoraphobia, which I never had in my life before detox, got really bad when I was on Heroin.
Here is some reviews of transfer factor by fibro sufferers and how it helped them. I suggest taking omega 3 flaxseeds , fish oil , B vitamins , anything that is immune system booster . Omega 3 has also anti inflamatory properties . Do you have brain fog as well? http://www.preciouspets.org/4life/fibro.
Adjusting my diet to include more magnesium rich foods and supplementing with Magnesium as advised by my ND made a huge difference in my muscle twitches, heart pain, heart rhythms, sweating etc. all of those things are gone now.
Yes the 20 grams was hard for me too, especially when you are not hungry or nauseated. Odansetron (Zofran) is good for the nausea and helped me get through it. I tried flaxseed oil and coconut oil as the amount you need to take is minimal but they ended going right through me and exacerbating the "loose stools" The morning dose was the hardest to get the fat and the last few weeks I ended up on hot dogs washed down with whole milk. Yum!
This helped somewhat and I was now giving him flaxseed oil in all-fruit smoothies. When I took him in for his 5 yr well check, his Dr chided me for switching him to soymilk and told me he could develop osteoporosis if I didn't give him milk. I told him about his encopresis and he told me to put him on Miralax. I researched Miralax and Dulcolax and decided against it. But I did go home and gave him milk.
The starches are broken down by the body and make glutamine and other amines, that aid all neurons, presynaptic neorons, neurotransmitters, and postsynaptic neuron regeneration. Turkey, Flaxseed/ Flaxseed oil, Buckwheat, Fish and Sea food, Whey protein, Bananas, Eggs, Sour Cherries, lean Beef, Dark Chocolate (It's the chocolate, not the sugar) are all foods which help with serotonin and other neurotransmitter production.
I've started thinking I would have to live with Irritable Bowel Syndrome for the rest of my life and I've been trying to find some healthy alternatives, such as L-Glutamine to build up my gut and flaxseed oil to soothe a bit. This hasn't helped. I gave in and took the Bentyl. Amazingly, the tingling sensation went away but my stomach pain worsened, terrible headache, fatigue, so I stopped after 3 days. The Doc is baffled. She's now running tests on my pancreas.
Without the xanax I am a complete mess, on the xanax, I am a mindless drone. I have begun taking such things as choline, gingko biloba, Deplin, and flaxseed oil to at least give me an edge, or simply to give me a placebo effect. I am afraid to ask my psychiatrist to prescribe me a medication like Modafinil, or an ADD medication, because these may raise my anxiety, and I am afraid of being casted as a "drug seeker". But this can not go on any longer.
So I switched him to soymilk and watched his dairy intake, though he loves cheese.
I was never allergic to it before, but my worst reactions were after I had some. 4) I take a multivitamin, vitamin E, Flaxseed oil, magnesium, VItex (for gentle hormone balance), B-complex, and Quercetin with Bromelain. 5) He suggests eating more fruits and vegetables- I need to do better here. It seems like a lot, but it helped me to get my life back. I was so frustrated like so many people on here because the doctors just seemed puzzled as to what was going on.
