Is it my imagination or do I have a lot more vaginal discharge now? It's not your imagination. It's quite common to have more vaginal discharge during pregnancy. What you're noticing is probably normal leukorrhea – the odorless or mild-smelling milky discharge that you may have noticed in your underwear before you were pregnant. There's just a lot more of it now, partly because of increased estrogen production and greater blood flow to the vaginal area.
To my knowledge this is the only infection that causes green discharge. Bacterial vaginosis causes a fishy smelling white discharge, a yeast infection causes a thick clumpy white discharge. you need to see a doctor as soon as possible and get antibiotics.

The characteristic symptom of trichomoniasis infection is a heavy, frothy, yellow-green, fishy-smelling discharge from the vagina. The infection can also cause discomfort during sex, vaginal itching, pain when passing urine and occasionally stomach pains. Hello, Going by your symptoms, it looks like bacterial vaginosis to me. It is the most common cause of abnormal vaginal odor and discharge. In addition to unpleasant "fishy" vaginal odor, thin white or yellowish discharge from vagina may also be present. Diagnosis can be confirmed after pelvic examination and microscopic examination of the vaginal discharge. Treatment is by metronidazole and clindamycin. Please do not use any vaginal douches.
I have no idea what started it. There is a horrible smell coming from my vaginal discharge. It literally smells like feces. I have looked up everything there is to look up and it fits NONE of the STD's or vaginal infections. It is NOT fishy in ANY way. It is NOT worse after sex. There is ZERO itching, burning, pain, etc. The discharge has NOT changed color or texture AT ALL. There is just a little more of it. There's also been ALOT of air coming out with it.
There was this old wrinkly thing smelling exactly like the way dat black discharge has been smelling. I've been son embarassed but after reading the testimonies of my sisters on the net, I realised I wasn't alone in this world. So I thank everyone for their information coz Iif I didnt read about yr stories and advice, I wouldnt have realised that I had an old tampon lost inside me. What a relief.
Hello prettygirl81, * Normal Vaginal discharge: May be clear or white, thin or thick. It is not odorous and there is no itching. * Abnormal Vaginal discharge o yellow or green vaginal discharge is usually from an infection. o A foul-smelling discharge is usually from an infection. o A thick, white, itchy, cottage cheese-like non-odorous discharge is often caused by a yeast infection.
Hello, Apart from STD’s or infections, this vaginal smelly discharge can be due to allergic reaction or contact dermatitis to your undergarments, sanitary napkins or tampons, soaps etc. There is no change in the color or smell of discharge in this case. But since you are having foul smelling odor of discharge then the possibility of sexually transmitted diseases and infection causing pelvic inflammatory disease, bacterial vaginosis or trichomoniasis has to be evaluated.
It's quite common to have more vaginal discharge while you are pregnant. It's usually quite harmless. What you are noticing is called leucorrhoea. This is a mild-smelling milky fluid or discharge. It happens because more blood is flowing to the area around your vagina. It's probably not that different from the discharge that you had before you were pregnant. There's just a lot more of it now. If your discharge changes, it may need treating.

Hello. I'm a 25 yr old male and recently (several months) I've been smelling a fishy odour emitting from my penis when ever i go to the bathroom. I am not a diabetic, and otherwise is good shape. I do not smoke, drink or do any street drugs.

A certain amount of vaginal discharge (fluid that flows out the vaginal opening) is normal. The vaginal walls and uterine cervix contain glands that produce a small amount of fluid that helps to keep the vagina clean. This normal fluid is usually clear or milky white and does not have an unpleasant odor. The normal vaginal discharge is thicker at specific times of the menstrual cycle (at the time of ovulation), during breastfeeding, or during sexual arousal.
Thats what it sounds like you have. Your discharge shouldnt be yellow and fishy odor. BV usually has a fishy odor and the doctor can give you antibiotics for it so it can be cleared up. I also read that if it is left untreated it can cause preterm labor and other complications so have him check you for that. Best wishes to you and congradulations on your baby.

Hi I am 20 years old and ever since I can remember I have had a strong sometimes sour sometimes fishy smelling discharge. you can do everything in the book but as i said, we all have a scent of some kind and its here to stay. UNLESS its a foul fishy odor with unusual discharge then it may be BV or something else. you would know if something was different in that department.
no discharge .it has like a fishy smell.
but did anyone notice a change in vaginal odor and discharge during their pregnancy?? All the books and websites Ive been on not ONE mentioned this. And its just odd smelling (of course I have HYPERSENSITIVE nose these days too). But I just recently noticed it. And the discharge is very slight no spotting or anything to be alarmed about. But just wanted to hear what some of u much further along experienced. Ericka 8.
Diabetes too can increase the chances of vaginal infections and foul smelling discharge. A fishy odor that is felt most after sex or washing with soap goes in favor of bacterial vaginosis. Bacterial vaginosis is usually caused by Gardnerella vaginalis bacteria or a combination of bacteria. A decrease in the good bacterial flora (lactobacillus) and an increase in infection causing bacterial is the cause. It is not clear how the infection comes.
As for the smell, a mans semen can throw off the pH levels of the vagina causing a different odor. As long as it isn't fishy or foul smelling you shouldn't worry.Since you are sexually active you should be seeing your gyno once or twice a year. I suggest getting in for an appointment to get checked out just to make sure everything is doing ok down there.
