I finished up last Wednesday so it has been 5 days. How long until I should expect my period after my last prometrium?

The doctor put me on Prometrium 200mg for 10 days to bring my period back. I finished my 10 days pack 3 days ago and still no period.Is this normal? What could possibly cause not to start bleed.

My dr. just put me on Prometrium 200mg at bedtime with hope to get my period. Has anyone taken this for similar reason and what was your outcome? We are trying to get pregnant.

I just finished 10 days of prometrium yesterday. I am only on Day 24 of my cycle but have some light spotting. Is it possible to get your period this soon? Last time it took 7 days after I stopped the prometrium.

I know Prometrium is more of a natural progesterone and Provera is synthetic, but I have already done 10 days of prometrium and no period came. Ugh...so frustrating! I have not been diagnosed, but I have heard of Metformin. Of the symptoms of PCOS, the only one I have is the absense of a cycle. I will for sure ask about it...it's worth a shot!

My gynac suggested me to take prometrium for 10 days after seeing a follicle. Its been 7 days now that i have stopped prometrium but still no periods. I have take HPT too in the past week and both the tests are negative. I am confused if I am pregnant or not Could some one suggest me here any solution. My Dr has prescribed Prometrium 200mgs to be taken for the 1st 5 days of my next period. Everything I have read about this is that it is usually prescribed for 10 days before your period, so I am confused. Also, he mentioned that Prometrium will help protect me from endometrial cancer and possibly breast cancer. I read that it may increase the risk of breast cancer so I am totally confused. Can someone help and offer advice? I am going for a 2nd opinion in December with another Ob/Gyn.

I was on progesterone only once a day, prometrium (vaginally) am and pm, and finished my antibiotics. how much progesterone are you taking?

Saw the doc on Oct 13 and did blood work and started Prometrium 400mg for 10 days to induce period. Finished Prometrium on Oct 22. Today is Nov 3 and still no period. My doc said I should get my period within a few days of stopping the Prometrium. Data for Prometrium says should get a period within 7 days. It's now been 12 days since stopping the Prometrium. The bloodwork showed hCG level at 1, TSH at 1.32 and Prolactin at 8.9. Appears no tissue left behind.

I did the prometrium to bring a period on and started bleeding before I was done. I finished up the pills and had a normal cycle. Call the gyno and let him now it is poradic. Should be ok - but just in case, call and just let them know.

I have PCOS and i took my 5th provera tablet on the 19/01 and it is now day 8 after the 5th tablet and i still have no period, is this normal or should i go back to the dr. I read that it can take up to 10 to 14 days but my dr said it should only take a week. So im a little confused please help. I really want to start trying for a baby.

Once my period starts I'm supposed to call the office so they can call in a prescription for Clomid. My question is I'm on day 7 and still no period. I was spotting yesterday but that's it. Should I call the doctor or wait until day 10 to see if it starts? (Day 10 is Saturday.) Has anyone else had to take medicine to start their periods?

When I took prometrium 3 years ago, it took about 12 or 14 days to get my period. I only had one cycle since I got pregnant with my son on the second round. Good luck!!!

I went through an ovulation induction cycle and was put on prometrium (progesterone) to support a healthy lining. I am now 20 days past ovulation, no period, and three negative home pregnancy tests (it is now day 33 of my cycle and I am typically a 28 day cycle, like clockwork). I talked to the doctor today who told me to stop the prometrium and I should expect my period in 2-3 days.

my 5th IUI (3rd on Clomid) ended with a BTN, but still no AF. wondering if the prometrium might delay my AF. I stopped it 2 days ago but still no sign of AF. I did blood test today but won't know the result till tomorrow, just to confirm the failure. I am really fed up with the trying and no knowing what could've gone wrong. I think prometrium will raise your levels whether you're pregnant or not...but hopefully this is your month!!! Best of luck!

I stopped my microval pill on the 5th may same day my period finished, I had intercourse on the 7 the but we used protection. I have not had my period since and today is the 20th of June. Iv done 4 pregnancy tests all were negative . could I be pregnant ?

I think it did delay when my period started but not that I would get it. Also - the side effects of prometrium are the same as implantation bleeding and PMS - drove me super nuts. I would have sworn I wasn't pregnant the third go round with prometrium but in fact I was - due to deliver in July. Good luck.

My ob/gyn has put me on Prometrium to help regulate my menstrual cycle. My husband and I are trying to concieve our second child. With my first child I was put on prometrium for the first trimester due to low progesterone levels. This month I thought there was a chance I was pregnant and he told me instead of taking it days 16-25 I should remain on it until I know for sure if I am pregnant. This is my first time posting a question so bear with me. I'm a 24 y/o F who has been trying to get pregnant since last April. I have very irregular and missed periods so my Dr. put me on 10 days of Prometrium. I had few side effects, fatigue, dizziness and some nausea. After the 10 days on the pill I am supposed to get my period and on day 3 of normal mentration return to the clinic for lab work to diagnose polycystic ovaries. It's been 7 days and no period yet.

I am taking prometrium to help support the pregnancy (if i am). I usually take provera to start my cycle because i am irregular. I believe you can take prometrium to do the same. I am wondering if i am not pregnant if my af will start while i am on the prometrium. I am not sure if the test they are doing is quantitative. Maybe they are just interpreting the numbers and telling if i am pregnant or not.

The docotor had told me that after I got off the pill it could take up to a year before I could concieve (Its been 3 years now and no baby). I got all the way up to 150mg of Clomid with no ovulation results for at least 3-4 months. The doctor also had me on the max of Glucophage (Metformin) 1,500 mg/day, with still no ovulation. So we went to a Fertility specialist and he said my GYN was doing everything right, but the next step would me hormone injections...or we could do ovarian drilling.
