There is definitely the compulsive feature of not being able to stop until I have smoothed it all out. I usually ahve bloody nubs on my fingers.I have bought dozens and dozens of cuticle cutters. In a related issue, I have also started plucking out the white hairs that have started growing in my eyelashes and eyebrows, sometes leaving spaces of no hair in my eyeslashes. Help!
I'm 24 years old this month, female, I live on the west coast where it's always mild and cool for the most part, and NOTHING I do will stop my legs from itching. I lived in the midwest for awhile and noticed my legs itched a lot more there with the humidity, but it didn't stop when I moved back home. It's so bad it wakes me up a lot during the night.
Over the last 1-2 weeks I've noticed the ends of all my fingertips slowly turning red.... only on the top side of my hands, the side with the fingernails.... My fingernails are healthy and growing/normal, but the skin surrounding the nail is very red.... I also can add that my hands are ALWA:YS cold, and I have had a tingly feeling in my fingertips a few times, only in a few fingers, it went away after a minute or two.....
I like rub it with my fingertips and it feels soo good when i just cut my fingernails and they are extra sensitive and i rub them on my blanket. No one except for my parents and my husband know about my "blankie". Its pretty embarrassing but I will never stop. And when this one disenigrates(sp?), then i will find something that hopefully feels close to the same and use that. Its like rubbing it with my fingertips soothes me soo much.
I am a professional guitar player with growing concerns over the health of my fingernails. Over the past 5 years, I have practiced guitar daily on average of 3-4 hrs a day, with 1 hr a day minimum on "off" days. Since the start, I've noticed that the nail bed (and subsequently the overall length of the nail) of my ring finger on the left (guitar fretting) hand has gradually shortened.
Dose any one know what there are or how i can remove them ? ! Also i have 2-3 hairs growing near the top of my shaft near my head. Is this normal ? Please reply!
I would get these itchy round bruises...Then my lower abs and my growing area started itching. Wasn't getting any rashes or anything like that. Beside the bruises on my inner thighs. Now I have these little red bumpson my penis that itch like crazy. At times it seems like the skin on my penis is dried out. Maybe from all the scratching?. But now its my whole body that itches. Only place that doesn't itch is my face. Does anyone have any idea? Thanks for your time.
My skin easily gets cut from touching anything and then I end up picking at it until the scab gets bigger and bigger, and finally until it leaves a scar. My mom tells me to stop, and I want to but I can't. I'm afraid I will never meet anyone this way...too afraid to show myself. What can I do? This discussion is related to RE:RE: Compulsive scab picking.
I stopped at 48 weeks because I just didn't have it in me to go any longer, but I took my PCR at 50 wks and came back undetectable. You have more determination than me. Anyway, I'm feeling pretty good. My fingernails are growing and I can't keep up with trimming them. If I do too much, like on Wednesday I went to dinner for a Birthday Party, I feel like **** the next day. It's not fair because I can't even drink, but I still get the hangover..hahahaha.
I've had nail fungus for few years now and I'm so ashamed of it. I would go on any diet that would stop feeding this horrible fungus and eventually kill it, even if it had to be for several months. I don't now if that would help though? It's the smallest toe that's affected the most and with funguus it shrank so badly and it was so tiny and horrible and there are sings of fungus on the one next to it.
If you are having any health problems or suffering from any nutritional deficiencies, your hair may stop growing or show damage. If your body is in good health, you can maximize your genetic growth cycle through taking the proper blend of amino acids and B-vitamins. It is also important to include B-6, biotin, Inositol and folic acid in the supplemental program.
I just found out yesterday that I am having a Girl. Now today I cannot stop crying. I have always thought I would have a baby boy first and I was so sure this baby was a boy. I actually feel so sad and disappointed that I am having a girl. I feel horrible for feeling this way and know that I should just be happy to have a healthy baby especially since we stuggled to even conceive, but I cannot shake this disappointment.
His office called this afternoon and said the levels were within normal limits, but there were definitely signs of anti-thyroid elements in the blood work. I was told my thyroid could simply stop functioning. I was to call his office if I started to feel "yucky" (nurse's term not mine). I was not given the results in numbers. I am 59 years old, and pretty healthy for the most part. I'm at a loss as to what qualifies as "yucky"....
It feels like my nervous system is stuck on high lol. Any advise apart from wearing mittens to stop me. I have even made myself bleed on my shins........ Blooming itch. B....itch........lol.
I have long, thick, extremely curly hair that's really rather stiff and abrasive (think almost like steel wool growing up out of my scalp). I'm prohibited from cutting it short, so it's about a foot and some long. Recently, my hair keeps randomly getting really really sticky in places, forming hard columns (bigger around than my finger) of sticky-glue-nasty, and tangling up and forming massive dreadlocks around said sticky places.
My hair has also started to fall out and at the end of my hair, a white little grain is at the end. Hair will not stop falling out. I have gotten blood tests at a dermatology office and everything was normal. I also have tried about very type of zinc pyrithione shampoo, at the highest concentrations. Also I have tried, salycylic shampoos, tar shampoos, jojoba oil, AND nothing seems to help. Please help me and my hair.
all day and night, they're being pumped, sucked, bitten, pinched, scratched with sharp little fingernails, engorged, emptied, engorged, semi-emptied, and overall...just plain tender. If they get bumped into something, ohmuhgosh...sometimes I think I see stars! Not to mention, I do taekwondo...with sparring...and sometimes I get punched and kicked in the boobs. I tell ya! If any part of my body takes the most abuse, it's my poor boobs, and ya know...
I am still taking biotin and EPO. My fingernails are growing like crazy. Feel free to whine....I am the queen of whining lately!! I did hear that it is common to shed more hair in winter months. You would think it would be the opposite. Did you have your dosage changed at all? I read that changes in dosages can cause your hair loss to start up again. I am going to the dermatologist on Wednesday and try to figure this thing out for the third time!!
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmm garlic I never ever ever even thought of growing garlic that is amazing! My God if i did that people would hate me so much I'd never stop with the stuff!!!!!!!
As a result of doing this for so long i have thick black hairs growing on my upper lip, chin and neck and also have thinner dark hairs growing on my cheeks. Now i HAVE to pluck.. I am embarrassed by the hairs so i am constantly in the bathroom checking for hairs or feeling for hairs that need to be removed. I am married and never want my husband to know i have these disgusting dark hairs growing all over my face.
particularly on my upper left thigh (not hives and not raised rashes, just splotchy redness that usually appears after a shower) hair thinning excessive water retention, especially in ankles burning sensation on bottoms of feet (esp at night) frequent urination Also, it may be insignificant, but in the last few months I've noticed an extreme amount of vertical, textured ridging on my fingernails - the nails are very pale and have a dark pink rim just under the white nail tip (not sure if it wou
Since he was very little he had this habbit of on purpose throwing up whenever he doesn't like to do something or wants more attention. Although this had greatly reduced as he was growing since he could express himself somehow or because we could more predict what his needs are. He also picked up another habit of hitting his head when he''s upset or cannot express himself. I put him to a co-op preschool last summer and he got into the habit of biting his fingernails all the time.
Does it sound similar to your son's case? I've tried and read so many discipline books as well, but it is always so difficult to stop him from inappropriate behavior. He would also be very goofy around adults or friends, keep falling on the floor, etc. I thought it was ok when he was smaller, but we think we need professional help now that he turned 5. He is a very affectionate kind child and very bright. Have you noticed that he does not have the pain attack when he is not hungry....?
Progression free survival is the name of the game ---- I'd prefer that cure, stop, defeat the cancer be the name of the game, but that isn't going to happen anytime soon....... My heart has gone out to you before and still does --- But you are still here and helping all of us --- I wouldn't be as upset about me except that I have an 11 year old who is ADD and ED (make you laugh.....he saw a commercial and thought he had erectile dysfunction --ED get it!
The pain is intermittent, no swelling that I can see, no fall that I remember. No other symptoms. My first initial thought was growing pains, but wouldn't it be in both legs? And would it bring her to tears? Also, I thought growing pains were suppose to happen mainly at night. I was researching on-line and found osteomyelitis. She did have a severe ear infection about a month ago in which the dr told me she has a blister in her ear it was so bad...could this turn into osteomyelitis?
I have had exactly the same thing. It is as though a fingernail is growing from a follicle instead of a hair. I've had this on my eyebrow and on my side. They are very hard and scratchy and quite painful until tweezed out. I'm waiting to see if another grows so that I can take it to my doctor. I was too disgusted to keep the other two!
So I suggested she try MSM, which I get at Trader Joe's. She's been taking it for about 3 months now and says that, yes, the fingernails are growing quickly and dramatically improved ! That makes me so happy for her. And I assume that the improvement in strength in the fingernails is an overt sign of improvement in other tissues. And I do seem to see an increase in short hair frizz in my long hair, which I HOPE is the little guys making a modest come back.
