fingernails dents

like moderate pitting of the finger nails (this has been going on for the past 3 months), weaking of fingernails along with peeling of nails and itching of the pubic area - past 2 weeks(without any signs of pubic lice - but when i scratch the 'root' of the hairs have these small while things - almost like some sort of internal moist dandruff...the skin is fine though).

I have dents everywhere it seems and its from the copaxone injections..I have paid attention..lol But there may be other reasons, it is realy very interesting. I just gave up, it seems a small problem compared to others and that is just for me..I am older now too.

Hi there, I talk and hang out with hiv positive friend and when talking, my friend's drop saliva splashes to my lips and in my mouth. I drink a water to clean it. Is it risk for hiv? Or I'm too paranoid? Can it penetrate to my lips? I don't know that his saliva mixed blood or not. Help me please Thank you very much.

It should gradually improve on its own in a few weeks but sometimes it may take even an year to fill. If the dents remain then collagen filling from a cosmetologist may be needed. I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep us posted on how you are doing.

I still get the pressure tension headaches especially more now since I have found these dents on my skull. I am afraid that these dents will start appearing on other parts of my skull and come to the front of my skull where people can see it. It feels like something is eating away at my skull or skin of the skull. I went and showed the doctor and he said there are only two ways that you can get dents in your skull and that is either by trauma or infection.

I am noticing some hair regrowth, but more than that I am noticing some small dents or dimples in my face from the injections. I was wondering if they are permanent or will they go away in time?

I have also noticed the rash is only on one half of the side of my finger. I also have a horizontal pattern of dents that vary in size all across the top of the nail. The nail is very flimsy as well and no matter how much I have cut it, it always grows out the same way with the dents. The nail also has no cuticle. None of my other finger nails have these problems and are not nearly as flimsy. The dents and rash appeared at the same time and have been there the same length of time.

I have been noted to have domed fingernails but not apparently 'clubbed' They have been like this as long as I can remember What might cause domed nails but not clubbed. ???

The doctor says my thyroid hormone levels fluctuates as do my symptoms. My fingernails are the worst and I am so very tired and weak. They are very soft and thin with ridges. I thought the synthyroid was supposed to help with these issues. I knew about the thinning hair, which I am experiencing to a much, MUCH worse degree than I expected (but hey, it's summer!! ) But I have never read anything about tx affecting your fingernails. It only makes sense, as they are both made of the same thing - but has anyone else had this problem? Mine are awful! They are like paper, thin, peeling, and constantly ripping, even though they are cut completely short.

Anyone have terrible fingernails with their VDD? I ask because for the past few years my nails have been very blah, the minute they start to grow they just split and peel. Now, I have noticed being on the VD for the past few weeks/months my nails finally seem to be growing slowly and not splitting or peeling, yet anyhow.

Hey there, girl.....I don't know. It sounds terrible. When I was getting chemo, I had an eruption of psoriasis and I lost my toenails and they aren't coming back....chemo ended 5 years ago. I hurt my toes all the time; but I know it would be much worse if it was my finger nails. I wish I could offer some help. Maybe someone will come along and know something helpful. Have you spoken to your doc or your chemo team about this? That's a good place to start.

I have two dents on top of my head that appeared that are giving me migraines . I've had ct scan and nothing come up... If anyone knows or heard of this??

The skull can change, dents that werent there can appear. Just to be sure you may get it checked. Keep yourself well hydrated.

Do you have an answer what is it and how to treat a 2soft dents on the top of the head.Don't have any symptoms and it does not hurt. Yes I have a low vitamin D but I think it is not a reason to have a soft dent on the head. It worries me a lot.What I should do? Thank you for your help.

For many years Ive had the 3 dents, & alot of health problems(Severe Fibromyalgia & ME/CFS. In the last year Ive gotten them all over my skull. I have severe symptoms including constants headaches, alot of timea very severe,Condizziness ziness&Nausea.I was also born missing c1/c2 vertebrate. Horrific Pain & inflammation and lots of problems.I am home/bedbound, Can't even make it the doctors anymore. ?

s 97 degrees where I live, I have been on my feet a lot today and my legs are swelling. When I press down my skin dents in and stays that way for a long time. Is this normal?

If HIV fluid got under your fingernails from hand-genital contact, does the virus die immediately while underneath the fingernails? My understanding is that the virus is damaged/non infectious immediately when fluids are transferred onto the hands no matter if its under the fingernails or any other part of the hand. My daughters will actually ooze a liquid but mine do not. We all have pits and/or dents in our fingernails. My daughter and sister all have very bad gastrointestinal issues, stomach aches, diahreaa etc, and they get sick easily. My daughter is having biopsys done on her shin and so far they are having trouble figuring out what her rash is. Her recent biopsy has been sent to Stanford for review. Hi there, just a question for those who also have a hyperthyroid and have been diagnosed. I have not been diagnosed, I have however had tests for hyperthyroid but not extensive tests, my TSH and T4 were checked, just after I had my son, however I developed symptoms about two/three months after having him. I began feeling generally unwell, I then got taken in for investigation with elevated hr and high bp. I also lost 3 stone in 8 weeks. My skin went really pale.

But i can feel the dents with my fingers. I have indents on both the sides but left ones are deeper. I dont remember noticing this earlier. Could somebody please suggest whether its normal or should i need to visit a doctor. And what is the reason for this issue.
