Common Questions and Answers about Fingernail no moon

1833444_tn?1325560662 I never really noticed this until today...has anyone experience darken nail beds and no cuticles circles at the bottom of nail s before, during or after the use of Tx? If so, I hope someone can explain it. It might sound like a dumb question but I've never noticed this until now.
Avatar_f_tn I have yet another sinus infection, the doctor checked my lungs a few times and I had a chest X-ray done. He said there was no phnemonia just alot of mucas buildup? I have never had that before and wanted to know what causes it and what to do about it. I feel like there is a huge weight on my chest. Oh and my oxygen level was normal. I also was wondering why the color in my fingernails is changing? They have gone to normal to a red/purple/blue half moon shape on the bottom.
Avatar_m_tn For as long as I can remember, I have always noticed how my nails are different from others (probably since I was 15 years or so). My nail color is pale pink and has no nail moon to mention (except on the thumbs where one can see nail moons if seen closely). While people I have noticed tend to have dark pink with pretty white nail moons. Anyway, I though I will check if this has anything to do with my thyroid condition or deficiency.
Avatar_n_tn The flashes are silver/bright and formed as a half circle like the tip of a fingernail or a sliver-moon. It is a quick flash but will flash several times in a row. My vision also seems blurred as if looking throug dirty glasses. This smudginess is constant. I do not have trouble reading but the smudginess is very annoying. I have also noticed a pulsing in that eye which seems to be more evident when looking slightly down and not focusing on anything in particular.
Avatar_n_tn For a few seconds, I had no idea that I was bleeding. The smash caused blood to come out from under my fingernail. Now I am all freaked out thinking that my bleeding smashed finger may of touched the pen I used (but I think I didnt touch anything with that finger after I noticed the blood). Here we go with the crazy way I think...what if the clerk or a person before me had some kind of blood on pen or counter...
Avatar_n_tn I have cut out gluten but still have that chronic pain but seem to digest food better, Dairy I think makes it worse too! I have been scoped and tested for everything with no results but some inflammation in my stomach. My ankles are also swollen! I have recently noticed tiny red pinmarks on my fingernail bed.
376148_tn?1309903177 I ask how far from the hospital you are because if you under 30 minutes away then i'd wait till your water breaks, or are in so much pain the absolutely no position change helps. That way your not in and out of there so much. Of course if you go in and your having good contractions they may keep you there.
Avatar_f_tn My boyfriend started a new job about a month ago, and we were both over the moon cause the money is great and it was what he'd always wanted. He worked from 9 to 5.30 but is never home before 7, usually because of how long it takes to travel in london during rush hour. About a week into the job, he insisted on going out to buy a lot of very expensive clothes for work, even though he didnt technically have any money and wasnt going to start getting paid until alot later.
Avatar_m_tn I itch until it bleeds and there are little scabs on my arms. It is a little embarrassing. No rash, no allergies (been tested). Lotion doesnt help. Right now I am ok. It seems to get bad in middle of day and at night. When it starts, nothing rellieves it. And although a shower might make it feel better, I am not going to get up in the middle of the night every night to shower. I cant believe there is not a solution for this. It feels like there are little chiggers under my skin biting me.
173975_tn?1216261375 the weight is just gonna drop off me...gobble, gobble, gobble. Guess it's no surprise that each weigh in...was pretty much the same. Well now...Thank God, the 'sweet toof fairy' has passed me by and I have little or no desire for it.
Avatar_n_tn Are there other treatments for your hands? There is no stim test for thyroid... I just hope you do well on a lower dose. Pain is a huge issue.
Avatar_f_tn Mine mostly come up after Ive been drinking so it definately has something to do with the health of your body which makes sense that fighting a virus would cause this too, all depending on the organ. My surgeoun had no idea what it was and would also appreciate some information? Some times I swear my kidney is trying to escape!
Avatar_n_tn The result – those temporary wrinkles on your fingers and toes. Other parts of your skin don’t have the same densely-reinforced design – so, no matter how much you soak, the rest of your skin tends to stay smooth. ref: In your case the skin of your palms maybe devoid of oils(do spend a lot of time in the water during the day), so the same re-action is seen.
Avatar_f_tn I can remember the interesting way you used language as you began to work with fingernail moon. You thought I was wearing red jeans when you were made because you have red hair. We were talking about! You would refer to the roof as a "lid". You said you couldn't watch your head when we warned you about the trunk coming up, because you didn't have eyes on your head. If I could tell other parents to enjoy and write these kinds of things down.
Avatar_f_tn It turns into compounds that you wouldn't fingernail polish remover and paint thinner equivalents. would you drink those? No. but yet, every time you do drink alcohol that's what your liver must face...
Avatar_m_tn I can feel them crawling under my skin, they hang out in my ear (not sure if under the skin or just in the canal) all day, it's gross. No one in the house (my wife and 3 kids) can feel them. My wife has bites all up and down her legs and even a protruded ring looking this on her forearm. As you might have imagined I'm loosing my mind and life, nothing is the same.
Avatar_n_tn I was suppose to start my period on April 4th, and It was spotting.. didn't think to much of it other thatn on my honey moon April 1st we had sex of coarse! and my period was the strangest one i've ever had. It was lite for like 3 days.. meaning spotting, then 2 days of light bleeding then spotting for 3 more days, then two days in a row i put a tampon in, went to my sons game, came home.. blah blah... before bed went to change and clean up.
288415_tn?1231634102 He told me there was absolutely nothing wrong, no infection, no punctured ear drum, and no wax build up. He said I was probably getting water in my ears from the shower and it was draining at night. I have been showering for 50 yrs and never had this problem. I read on another forum (regarding same thing) to use vaseline on a q-tip. Doctor said this did not sound like a good idea. My room mate decided to try it and is cured. I started doing it myself this morning. No itching.
Avatar_n_tn I had one removed by my doctor in his office. He used lidocaine (6 shots that were unbelievable painful) to numb the area and cut it off and cauterized the area. I'm having a rough time - I feel like I have the worst hemorroid flare up going on right now. I'm taking colace and fiber supplement, drinking plenty of water and began using the Desitin a few days before they recommended I start. I dread going to the bathroom, but I go regularily.
Avatar_f_tn Hard whitish things sticking out of my pores on my nose, cheeks, chin and my jawline. ‎I hav beenn searching the web for answers but to no avail. they stick out like small hard white hairs. ‎I try to press them out without hurting my skin buh that's ‎so impossible because they are under all my pores ‎so my pores look swollen and raised. Pls let me know if you find out anything. Thank you. Hope you are better.
Avatar_m_tn I have been able to pull some of it up out of my throat and spit it out but it's clear with no color or spots or anything. No relief comes from that. Sometimes I can make it go away for a couple of minutes if I brush the back of my tongue. I took some Ztus expectorant last night hoping it would release it but no luck. Does anybody else have this problem and what can I do about it? I'm going to schedule an ENT appt. next week.
Avatar_n_tn to me the worst part is staying off them for maybe 5 days at the most (which feels like an eternity) and then right when i'm at the point when I start to feel normal again I go back to them!! Polo unfortunately no one can go through it but you, no one can stop it but you. Hang in there, the feelings won't last forever, read what the other insightful friends on this forum say. they too have been there. you are not alone. good luck my friend.
Avatar_n_tn I am also really sensitive to so many different creams and detergents. I have been using vaseline... probably a no-no... and a couple other anti-itch creams. Which seem to help for a small amount of time. If anyone finds out anything else... be sure to post it. I wonder if we are the first to come across this considering our doctors are clueless...??
Avatar_n_tn There are many things that you could be allergic to that could cause this including cosmetics, hair coloring, nail polish, food allergies, perfumes, etc. If you get no relief consider seeing a cornea/external disease ophthalmologist. You can use the Find An Eye MD feature at to find one near you. Let us know if you determine a cause.
Avatar_n_tn Lots of baby dust to you all. Cramps don't mean yes or No. I had cramps and mine did not work while my aunt had no cramps and hers worked...Goodluck to you all.. Bajan Girl how was the ultrasound?
Avatar_n_tn I've been to vascular surgeons, cardiologists. hand surgeons and regular md's and no one can help me. This just happened again to my thumb after 10 years and my cardiologist prescribed high blood pressure meds...and I DON'T have high blood pressure, I've been running for 25 years! If anyone has a diagnosis please share...I know your frustration.
Avatar_f_tn No, no, and no. I work all day and feel fine. I do drink alot of caffeine (Mt. Dew) during working hours. I come home, take a bath, eat, spend time with kids, lay down around 9 and fall asleep around 10:30-11:00. Up again at 6:15. I did get into a habit of taking sleeping pills. At first I thought this occured because of the pills but the "hallucinations" happened way before that. It's weird because I always "see" some kind of bugs. I'm not scared of them.
