Cut off the loose nail portion close to the skin without cutting into the skin. A pair of fingernail nippers or fingernail scissors work best. Then brush on pure tea tree oil a couple of times a day.

i dont know if it glows in the blacklight because it is flaking skin or because of a fungus? i can scratch off little pieces of skin. what could it be? its not red, its slightly lighter than my regular color even when i tan, i think maybe just because it is dead skin coming off? i work in a place with lots of blacklights so its kind if embarassing...also i am always cold so i bundle up a lot even though i live in fl. so my armpits are probably ideal for a fungus.
And about three weeks ago I noticed a cluster that looks like the ones in the herpes photos. It is under my penis not on the head but next to the little skin where it looks stitched. They are VERY tiny about 10 tiny bumps and hard to see if my penis is not dry. The place where they are at is not very reddish. They've been there unchanged for these past three weeks.

I have light pink, dry, flakey, circular spot's around my genitals that is not itcy.It has been there a while, I thought it would go away on its own, if i washed better, but over time its still there. Its not on my penis, testies, or inner thigh. The only place it seems to be is where my pubic hair is. I've looked online at pitures of tinea fungus and it doesnt look like any of them, its close but not exactly. What is it and How can i make it go away?

A year ago I was spending about 4 to 5 days in an MMA gym wrestling kickboxing etc for a couple of hours each day. After showing one day I noticed my left shin had a perfectly round area of skin paler than the rest. Not in the shape of a ring but a disc that was solid about the size of a quarter. I forgot about it for a while and eventually went to a dermatologist last year and was told it was psoriasis. I had it also on my scalp in the front and back.
They look whitish and when I scrape them off with a paper towel or my fingernail it is not red or bleeding underneath. It feels like skin when I scrape it out and touch it with my fingers. Does this sound like thrush? Does thrush feel like skin when touched? My mouth has been excessively dry for the past year, I have to sip water constantly and chew sugar free gum. Could it just be caused by the dry mouth? I tested negative for HIV a year ago on rapid tests.

It does seem a bit confusing. I have some photos of the rash on my legs. It is much better now unless I have a warm bath then it can come back. The skin in this area was not red all the time but during the day it was blotchy pinky purple - a bit dirty coloured but then at night it would go bright red and lacy. I have some photos but not sure how to post them on this site. One is a picture of when its enflamed and the other is a picture taken today.
Rash is mild, not itchy and red color fades away about 50% after washing penis with water. Doctor said that almost likely that it is a fungus,and prescribed me a Clotrimazole cream - didn't help, then Gentamycin+Betamethasone+Clotrimazole cream (sorry, I am from Russia and I am trying to use world standard names for meds instead of our local names) - it helped a little. Then, suddenly, after I stopped using any cream rash was gone.
