Saw my doctor yesterday and he said he thought it was a nail fungus. He said there is a medication you can take, but it's only effective 50% of the time, and you have to take it for 3 months. He recommended soaking my toes in......are you ready? Listerine Mouthwash! He said as odd as it sounds, it works. I'm going to try it....I'd rather put Listerine on my feet than in my mouth. That is nasty as a mouthwash!
The nurse had performed tests before mine..it was a busy clinic. I had a bloody fingernail, which I noticed after the test due to cold weather which was touched by the nurse.

It first started at the crown of my head. I read within this discussion that Listerine worked. Sadly after I used it, the stickiness went from the crown to the whole top part of my head. However, after I bought Paul Mitchell's Tea Tree oil shampoo from Sally Beauty Supply, about 80% of the stickiness went away! Then, a couple days later, I washed it again with that shampoo and it was gone. I honestly think that this is some kind of fungus on the scalp. Tea tree should help. Good luck guys.
Hi I just want to know what can cause some or all of these combined symptoms, Hair thinning, lost of appetite, a few dark toenails but not all of them, 1 fingernail half light pink half light brown with vertical lines no ridges, wart on ball of both feet and lately some lost of taste (I'm thinking due to thin white film on tongue) I was a Severe smoker until recently when I stopped.
Hello~Your pictures did not post, however, I would see a dentist regarding this. It could be a type of fungus, digestive problem, or even a vitamin or mineral deficiency. I know sometimes a tongue as you described can mean a vitamin B deficiency, so, I would get it checked to rule out any problems.

First, wash your hair with SUAVE clarifying shampoo (fairly cheap). Wash it twice if necessary. Then get some LISTERINE (the brown, original kind) and put three capfuls on the problem area and rub gently with both hands for a couple of minutes and let it sit in. You can add some water in with the listerine as well. Wash out, and the oil should reduce significantly. If still not all gone after the first time, do it one or two more times and your problem should be solved.

They look whitish and when I scrape them off with a paper towel or my fingernail it is not red or bleeding underneath. It feels like skin when I scrape it out and touch it with my fingers. Does this sound like thrush? Does thrush feel like skin when touched? My mouth has been excessively dry for the past year, I have to sip water constantly and chew sugar free gum. Could it just be caused by the dry mouth? I tested negative for HIV a year ago on rapid tests.
So about 2 weeks ago (after putting a cuticle out) the base of my fingernail got infected its red and swollen doesnt hurt much but when i touch it, then about a week ago i began to have these little white bumps on my finger tips they very in size but none bigger than 1/16in, they have now sped to some of my palm, they have no liquid in them they are only white and they open easly when scrached but they do not itch or hurt, my guess is i touched something im aleric to but i have never really been
No apparent necrosis, but the fingernail has separated and also *appears* to be infected with fungus. She has had IV antibiotics twice as well as antibiotic and antifungal pills, and it was non-responsive to the drugs. Tested negative for MRSA. Finger hurts and is pinkish-red. It is dry with no discharge.
