finger swelling rings

My husband and I are expecting our first little girl. My ring finger has started swelling but worse than that is the rash developing. Its so bad I had to remove my rings. Is anyone experiencing swelling or a rash with jewelry?

It is normal, but if you're only experiencing it in one finger then you should probably talk to your doctor about it bc typically it would be your whole hand or at least all of your fingers. But with any kind of swelling you should always let your doctor know about it nd they like to keep track of your symptoms and make sure it isn't excessive. That's why pregnant women shouldn't wear rings bc I've heard of a lot women that have hard to get rings cut off due to the swelling.

Has anyone experienced swelling in their fingers? I cannot put any of my rings on. Before tx I weighed 25lbs more, still in tx till next Nov. I would think with the weight loss, my rings should fit.

Try drinking water and resting with your arm elevated see if that helps I had to go in hospital about two weeks ago for observation and had an IV in and the next morning my hands were so swollen I had to take my wedding rings off since then I check my rings several times a day and take them off if it feels like its getting tight at all and put them on a chain around my neck you may have to keep it off for the rest of your pregnancy if the swelling doesn't stay down but you don't have muc

My husband just recently bought me a new wedding ring set and for the past week or so I have been waking and my ring finger has been hurting and I'm guessing its due to swelling...is there anything I can do about this without getting it resized or am I eventually gojng to have to go ringless?

I am still okay with my rings. now 27weeks and a few days. I was wondering about the swelling too. I guess it does not have to happen to everyone? since they say every pregnancy is different from woman to woman. I hope I don't have to get my wedding sets sized. we dont want extra expenses these days. and if I get swollen I hope I get back to normal after birth.

Same here, my rings don't fit anymore but my feet look fine. Guess it's just another fun part of being pregnant.

I'm 35 weeks and haven't seen any swelling, but at times my fingers feel like there might be a bit. It's a matter of time until the swelling starts, but we're so close that I'm not going to bother buying more. The swelling will go down within the week after birth anyway. Amazon is a good suggestion though!

I have the exact same problem happening on my middle finger on my right hand. It has nothing to do with rings since I don't wear jewelry on my right hand period. It starts out super dry at first, then it gets red, itchy, irritated (with the tiny little blisters that seem to have water or clear liquid when popped or scratched), and finally begin to dry out and "heal" for a day or two. I have been under an intense amount of stress the past six months (which is when they began).

I would take them off, clean them good, put triple antibiotic on my finger until it seemed to heal, then put the rings back on and the same thing would happen (a reddish rash under where the rings touched my skin). So I have swelling in my legs, ankles, and feet and my right side is worse. I went to my regular doctor this morning and also had high blood pressure... Should I be concerned? I have an ob appointment this afternoon so I plan on asking especially if my bo is high still. Am I more likely to be put on bed rest or is this a precursor to preeclampsia?
