First it started swelling on my index finger, with a couple of visible red dots under the skin, and then it started on my ring finger, but the swelling was different, it got swollen at one point beyond the big joint of the finger and another swelling at the smaller joint of the finger. This time the swelling was hard to the touch. Like two red dots.
And then my little finger started swelling too, but this one was different also.
I fell down and perhaps the whole body weight rested on my finger, as a result of which the finger got swelling and little bent after a day followed by severe pain. The finger does not get straightened. I was advised by pharmacist to take Brufen tablets and apply some gel. As long as the tablet was taken for 3-4 days, the pain was not there.But no sooner the tablet was stopped, the pain again started.
I got X-Ray done of my finger and consulted an Orthopaedic Surgeon.

Hello, I'm an 18 year old female with pretty bad joint pain (at least that's what I'm assuming it is.) When I was about 10 or 11, I discovered I was missing a knuckle on my right ring finger. My finger was then about the same size as my pinky, and seemed like it had a 'shrinking' effect, due to the fact all my other fingers were growing and my ring finger was not. While it is normal for most women, it also can be a sign of blood pressure issues. Your doctor will check this . My doctor monitored swelling. She'd put her finger into it and it pitted (imprint of her finger stayed for a bit), that was more concerning.
There is supposed to be a trick if lubricants are not getting it off, if you take a thickish sewing thread and get one end under the ring and then wrap it around your finger going towards your knuckle. You want to make it a littlr tight. Then you'll then end that you pushed under your ring and it should unwind pulling yhe ring off over the tight area. Thats the only other way besides cutting it off.
Recently, my finger ring finger on my left hand started to hurt. There is no sign of swelling or bruising. When I'm bending it, it will make a popping sensation. Sometime when I put my hand into a fist and try to open it, all my fingers but my ring finger will move up. And can try as hard as I can but I can't get it to move without touching it for a while. But if someone pushes it back up, they feel no resistance. Same if I move it with my other hand.

I advise you to see a physiotherapist as soon as possible. Few things that can be given to you for improving the movement of your finger and reducing stiffness are
a) Mobilization with heating modalities (paraffin wax bath) - in this procedure, a liquid like wax is heated to an extent that it can be a bearable temperature, and then the stiff finger is dipped for a few seconds. After few such dips, passive mobilization or assisted mobilization is done by a physiotherapist.
Just give your finger a break and try your best in the morning! I hope it works!
ve developed a strange symptom the last 3 days where my just the tops of my index, middle and ring fingers are in excuriating pain...no swelling, no redness - nothing....just pain...I feel I'm on the verge of a relapse - where my legs and face are getting painful, etc., but not full fledge yet. Could this be

I had surgery to repair tendon in ring finger two weeks ago. First off the incisions made were way more than I expected, it went from middle of my palm to til bout 1/2 inch from tip of finger on both top and bottom, Dr said he had to pt two pins in my finger. Now I'm told I will have to have joint replacement due to extensive damage to my knuckles and joints. The pain and swelling are horrible and I can not move nor feel my ring finger still. Is this normal for tendon damage being repaired?
I put my engagement ring on earlier it is alittle tight so I've Been using lotion to get it off. Tonight at work I must of done to much my hands and feet are so swollen and I can not get my ring off!!! Lotion.ice etc nothing will help.and my finger is so red.I don't want It to start to cut off circulation. I'm so worries. What do I do? I'm 38 weeks. You think I.should just leave it and see if the swelling goes down enough for me to slip it off or what?
If I try to make a fist, my ring finger will not bend to the palm, my pinky finger does not bend. Pinky finger isn't injured. The middle finger (not injured either) will bend but the joint closest to the nail will not curl under. Thumb and Index are fine. I was wondering if there is an injury to one finger can it affect the other fingers beside it?
