For the past week I have been waking up during the night with the middle finger on my right hand being locked. (Trigger Finger). It will wake me up during the night because it is painful. Upon waking in the morning it usually takes a good hour before it will stay unlocked. The joints at the base of my fingers are very sore and swollen and so is my wrist. I have been taking anti inflamatories, ice and tried heat with no relief.

I'm just over 34 weeks. For the last week or so, I've been waking up in the middle of the night and morning to really bad finger pain that lasts for aw hile! It's hard to bend my fingers and sometimes they make a popping feeling when I bend them. Middle three fingers on each hand are the worst. During the day, they're not "as" sore, but still a little. I can't seem to find anything about this in my baby books. My hands don't look swollen. Anyone else have this??

Sorry to hear of your rib pain probelms, but I have a few questions. Have you seen a doctor for this pain? Have any tests been done? Sorry I can't answer your question, maybe someone else on here has a simular probelm. Wish you the best of luck!

I am a 48 year old female. I have a problem with total boby tingling upon waking, even my head and face, sometimes feeling like I have been breathing too shallow. This has been happening for about one yr. I occassionally have tingling throughtout the day in my legs, arms, and scalp. I spoke to my pcp about this problem and he said "That doesn't make since" and changed the subject. When sleeping I periodically wake with an arm, leg, or my side tingling.

I wake up at least 3 times throughout. I have been noticing a change in my mornings for the past 2 weeks or so. When upon waking up my heart feels like its pounding/racing at the same time. I thought it was just my imagination but one morning my boyfriend put his head up to my chest and made a comment without me asking to listen to my heart. I also feel like my body is extremely tense throughout the night and upon waking up.

sleeping, it has now progressed to every night (so painful I wake often already crying) it remains numb and painful for up to an hour after waking. it has recently started happening during the day if am doing any kind of reptative movement(scrubbing in the shower,washing dishes,etc) in addition to that if my hand gets cold all of the blood will drain frm my middle finger and I lose feeling. I am an otherwise healthy 36year old woman,active with very good bmi & blood pressure.

I too experience pain in my "kidney are" upon waking. Throughout the week I get minimal sleep; five hours maximum, and waking with NO pain, but when the weekend comes, and I am sleeping more than that is when I experience this horrible pain. So, I know for a fact that the pain is directly related to sleep (for me). I first went to my MD, and was told that it is muskuloskeletal, and that Motrin should help. No dice.

this could be pluerisy, you'll need to see a doctor for treatment, or just a trapped nerve, see your doc

You may want to investigate yourself by taking your blood pressure upon waking up and see if this becomes elevated, as well as your heart rate. Regards.
