I will continue 2 more weeks of physical therapy in the hopes of lessening the pain even further. My question is, when can I safely resume playing golf? I am an avid tournament golfer and Spring has sprung finally in NE Ohio. I have several tournaments scheduled and need to begin practicing as soon as possible. However, I do not want to make my condition worse. Obviously, I am trying to avoid surgery. What are your thoughts? Thank you!

My guess is you were experiencing a combination of effects from your illness, antibiotics and the sugar overload. However, I think you really need to examine your diabetes management. Do you test? If not, you should, and you would get a frightening glimpse of just how high all the **** you ate drove you. You make it sound as though you had no choice but eat and drink all that sugar! You had water available to you for thirst so why drink three regular sodas?
I lost my diabetic testing kit at a golf course and the next day call the golf course that I was playing at and someone had turned it in to the office. I went and picked it up the next day. I was changing out the lancet and cut my finger on the used lancet.The issue is I found my testing machine that I thought I had lost. I was stuck with some ones lancet that was not mine.. Do I need testing for hiv or would the 24 hours between someone had used the lancet and I got stuck kill the virus.
I'm a 62yr old male, and experiencing an unusual vision problem. It usually occurs when I'm out in the sun (playing golf) I get a dizzy feeling, but not drastic, and everything begins to glow so bright I can't look at the golf ball without squinting. . . My equilibrium and balance gets off and walking in a straight line is. The back of my tightens up and won't release and the bright vision continues to elevate to the point everything seems to be bright neon.
I am tired and lethargic all day and can fall asleep any time of the day for ten minutes
and if i do then cant sleep at night i have constant headaches and suffer some lower back pain,
being fairly active i play golf 3 times a week most weeks then after playing 3 or 4 holes of golf i tend to get wiery
i also work 5 days a week

I was playing football outside and my finger got jammed I think it got swollen and bruised and is hard to bend it's been a week now and it's not getting any better it's still brusied but not swollen it hurts to be touched on the bottom bone where it connects to the bone above it idk if I should go to the docter or not ?
While hitting a golf shot (Driver), I experienced severe pain on the outside and underside of my left wrist on impact. I was rolling my wrists through impact as is normal but the contact I made was awkward, painful and sounded strange. The wrist is sore and feels like the tendonds have been strained. No sense that a bone has broken but wrist continues to be very tender. I iced it for 48 hrs and have tried to hit balls but the pain is bad.
Any advice on treatment?
My doc said to wait 4 weeks after I got my cast off before I start playing golf again. However, I have started to play a little again just swinging softly. A few days ago I tried out some normal swings and my wrist felt fine with no real pain and my wrist feels about how it used too. If I start to play fully again before the 4 weeks am I really risking hurting my wrist again? I did not break it golfing.
I started golfing again after 25 years. I took 1 golf lesson several weeks ago. 10 days ago I played 9 holes and was not sore at all. Yesterday I played 9 again when the temperature was close to 90 degrees, and I played a lot better. This time my right biceps is quite sore, and the soreness seems to be in the fleshy part of my arm. I can swing my arm backwards with no pain. l can not lift my arm parallel to the front or side without pain.
If you have a big enough bath tub, try soaking in it with about a cup of Epsom salts, this is great for inflammation as well. As to how long before playing golf, that just depends, if it is indeed a misplaced vertebrae, it will not get better until fixed, but, if it just a bad sprain, I would say probably a week or so. If you don't want to see a chiro and the pain continues, then see a good, osteopathic physician, they are trained in the area of bones, sprains, etc. I hope this helps.
I have never bottomed and do not enjoy anything in there so I moved his finger out really quickly and as soon as I felt the tip of his finger. I stubbed my finger playing with my dog. My pip joint on my pointer finger is in slights pain when I apply pressure or bend it to a certain extent. There is no swelling, redness, or bruising. s blood pressure has always been low for him at 90/60 and pulse of 70. He was always in great shape playing soccer and golf. He recently stopped playing soccer this past jan. He has been on Vyvanse for 4 yrs now for his ADHD. He is going through a growth spurt., eating more, sleeping more and he grew 1 3/4 inch in the past month. At his last exam, the doc said his bp was 110/85 and pulse was 115.
