Avatar f tn This then presses on the nerve which then causes a pain right up to the elbow. Thumb and pointer finger are first to be affected. Often proper working style, working without bending wrist, using smooth movements to operate the mouse and key pad, and relaxing the joints of finger, wrist and arm in between helps. A wrist support or arm support too helps and you have computer chairs with support for your spine and arm.

Avatar m tn Hello, I'm Chelsea and I'm 17 years old. I spend a lot of time on my computer gaming, typing, programming/coding, etc. I'm on my Pc for about 3 days straight and then I'd sleep for about 20 hours. That has been my routine for the last month and a half. I'm insomniac. The only time I leave my room is to get food, drink and to urinate. I also click/pop my fingers a lot.
Avatar m tn The back of my wrist feels tight, the wrist is easy to pop (and gives relief when it has been) and the central knuckles of my index and ring fingers feel stiff (not all the time). There's no twitching, it hurts even when I'm not typing or using a mouse and there's no numbness. I can feel the muscle between my index finger's base knuckle and the wrist move when I click though, and there's a resulting, momentary twinge of pain.
Avatar f tn I also get involuntary movements with my fingers. e.g. I click a mouse three times then stop but my finger moves three times, I click one time and stop but my finger moves one time. When I have a burning sensation, it feels like someone is holding a curling iron to my back. I had a EMG and NCV and told that I have benign tremors but I was not asked to do any other tests or answer any questions.
Avatar f tn Hi Doni...I never use the little finger pad on my laptop...way to hard...a mouse is just easier. If you have a USB compatible mouse from your other computer you should be able to plug it into the laptop.

Avatar f tn I'm a healthy 29 year old female. For the past two days I've had intense pain in my fingers and occassionally works its way into my forearm and shoulder. Usually the pain is at its worse during the night. It first starts with pins and needles then it feels like severe joint pain that gets worse. I've had this same finger hand pain before a few months back and it lasted for nearly a month then. At that time my doctor said it was trigger finger.
Avatar n tn s almost unbearable to type or click a mouse (I actually use finger guards to reduce the sensitivity). The strength in my hand is excellent, and I do not have an elevated blood glucose, or swelling, etc. I have noticed superficial red marks under a couple of my finger tips as well. I know this is an old post, but did you ever figure out what was wrong, and/or has it resolved?
Avatar n tn Of late, I have noticed mild pain in my right hand and wrist especially when on the computer. The pain is more neuralgic type and not necessarily bone or muscle pain. I feel it is also finger specific, especially all my fingers other than my thumb and pinkie all of which I use to move the cursor. I am afraid I may have carpal tunnel. Please do suggest what to do now.
1700643 tn?1464846682 I'm trying to remember... I can't do it from the iPad but on the desk top you would just take the mouse and hover over to the left and the "best answer" tag will appear. You just click on it...Oh wait...I CAN do it from here so you should be able to do it on you phone. Just go slowly across the top until you see it...
356929 tn?1246389756 Wow, you're observant. I didn't notice it at all. But if you slide the mouse onto someone's name, the little box comes up with a bit of information. If you want the whole profile, you click on their name now instead of "profile." Is that what you mean?
Avatar n tn Sorry if this is the wrong section to post this under. I'm 17 and have been having this for 3-4 weeks now. I will get random pain (burning) in the back right side of my neck I don't even know how to properly explain it really. When it does happen it starts in the back right side of my neck goes down my back and to my head it then makes my entire head twitch back and forth for like 3 seconds and then for some reason I get cold sweats and an immense amount of anxiety for like 30 seconds.
Avatar n tn I have this problem, burning pain between index finger and 2nd finger. I cannot clench my fist unless I straighten index finger then I can make fist with the other three. I have never heard of this before, so if you have no answer I will have to goto.

1138687 tn?1548643978 Exactly, I think that the green check should NOT come up unless you click on it. Because all other social networking sites require you to click a box, then after you click the box a green check appears, and then after you check the box and see the green check you would normally have another verification box to check; perhaps something that comes up and says "are you sure you want tou give this person best answer", and you click either "yes" or "no" or something.
Avatar m tn I also have this burning sensation in my thumb and index finger when using I phone. Definately not muscular. I am left handed. I notice that my thum gets very hot and tingly so I looked how I held it it is because I usually put my thumb over the speaker. When I don't put it ther I dont get the burning. And my finger is actually starting to go refs and sort of semi blister (this is the finger I type with...what is going on??
645800 tn?1466860955 I was just sitting at my computer wondering what to do next until my pain meds kicked in. So I figured I see what kind of display setting I could change to make things more interesting. So I went to the control panel of Windows ( I am running Windows 7) to check it out. And was I surprised. One of the settings was for the orientation for the monitor. They offered landscape ( the way we normally see things), Portrait ( everything tipped to the side), Reverse Landscape, and Reverse Portrait.
Avatar f tn Go to your weight tracker and on the right hand side of your screen, you will see where it says "Add Data"/"Actions". Hover your mouse over Actions and drop down menu will appear; click on settings and you will get back to the page where you set your goal.
Avatar m tn When scalene muscle is the cause of pain, the pain is referred to chest, inner lining of scapula (shoulder bone), shoulder, posterior and lateral sides of the arm right up to the thumb and index finger. Repeated clicking of mouse of computer can injure the tendon of index, cause compression of median nerve and also cause this numbness. Please consult your PCP for primary examination followed by proper referral. Take care!
Avatar f tn Feed title bar to move it down or you can put your mouse over one of the other sections to move it up. Then click the bar and drag and drop it.
