Avatar n tn I was pulling open my cars jammed ashtray, it was stuck so I pulled harder and my 2 fingers....
Avatar f tn Then last year I went to pick up my daughter having a temper tantrum on the floor and it felt like someone hit my hand with a hammer. I looked at my right hand and my middle finger was touching my thumb, the ligament visably over the nuckle! I put it back in place myself and soon as I closed my fist it went again. After a brace and weeks of therapy, it's now my "trick finger" with periocic cramping. I battled chronic fatigue, then elbow pain.
557400 tn?1266108714 As far as movement - don't be concerned! The baby is begining to have less room in there so you are far more aware of his movements now! I swear I can feel just a finger move lol (going on 27wks)!!! I'm not sure about the round ligament pain though - I don't know what it feels like. Good Luck!!
Avatar m tn But hurt all day and today it is swollen from little finger down along the outside of my hand and pain is much worse. I didn't hit my hand, so do not hink it is a broken bone....but I've had a broken thumb previously and pain & swelling are similar. Help!!!
Avatar m tn I don´t feel any kind of pain and the joint seens to be working properly. Also when I flex my finger and touch the low side of the joint (the one on the same side as the palm) using another finger I can feel what seens to be a tendon poping, although I also can´t hear any sound.
1524304 tn?1326396974 I heard a really loud crack in the joint of little finger and terrible pain. It lasted only for a while but now when I touch the joint it has some mild tenderness and when I try to bend it at certain point I can feel slight pain. There wasn't any swelling, at least not noticeably. So I'm just wondering because there was an incident with stubbing toe and now I believe I cracked it then (several years ago).
Avatar m tn Sudden sharp pain like a needle stick to my right inside pointer finger in the last joint
Avatar m tn ligament, but I did a google research about it and one of the major symptoms of it is pain. The problem is that i dont have pain, just severe numbness on the palmar side of the hands including the first 3 1/2 of fingers. I did MRI for my neck two days ago and everything seemed fine. Could it still be Struthers' ligament? Any conservative treatments?
Avatar f tn It has been three months since the injury and the pain is still the same. It hurts when I hold my finger and move it side to side and up and down and also when pressure is applied. It also hurts between the knuckle and the beginniing part of my finger when pressure is applied. Also it hurts on my knuckle when pressure is applied. Should I get it looked again right away? Both my middle knuckle and the knuckle on my pointer finger still looks enlarged. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar f tn I did an x ray image of my hand, but noone can answer me if my finger ligament is snapped, they just told me to rest and ice.... and my finger altho it doesnt hurt when holding still, it isnt getting better... 1 week has passed...
Avatar f tn Ive had more pregnancy symptoms (sensitive nose, slight nausea, ligament pain) and my breasts are excruciating. Hoping baby is in the uterus!
Avatar f tn t know if it would be arthritis considering this occurred after an incident. You could have ligament damage or a sprain in your fingers. Pain and swelling are symptoms of that. https://www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/did-i-sprain-my-finger#1 Does ibuprofen help? You could ice it too. And a doctor wouldn't be a bad idea!
Avatar m tn I took a puck off of my right index finger and didn't really notice any immediate pain. Over the next couple days I noticed that I couldn't form a fist because my finger was very swollen and hurt to bend that far. Upon further observation I noticed that my first finger knuckle had become very wide, but the rest of my finger remained regular size. It is also very sensitive to touch.
Avatar m tn I fell down and perhaps the whole body weight rested on my finger, as a result of which the finger got swelling and little bent after a day followed by severe pain. The finger does not get straightened. I was advised by pharmacist to take Brufen tablets and apply some gel. As long as the tablet was taken for 3-4 days, the pain was not there. But no sooner the tablet was stopped, the pain again started. I got X-Ray done of my finger and consulted an Orthopaedic Surgeon.
Avatar f tn Other than this, pain on radial deviation can be due to injury to scapholunate ligament, and pain on ulnar deviation can also be caused by injury to the lunotriquetral ligament. An injured TFCC and other ligaments can be managed by rest and anti-inflammatory and/or pain medications. The wrist can be stabilized by wrist supports, splints, casts or by surgery. If this is not treated in time, it can worsen the pain and de-stabilize the wrist. Do consult your doctor for proper management.
478554 tn?1208034407 i guess that could be a sort of trigger finger.Trigger finger is a common problem that causes pain and snapping of the tendons in the fingers. The cause of trigger finger is unclear, and can seemingly appear from nowhere. It can occur in one or more fingers, and can occur at different times in different locations. The tendons in your fingers attach to the ends of your fingers. When your forearm muscle contracts, the tendons pull the fingers into a fist.
736040 tn?1257436457 it sounds like Carpal Tunnel Syndrome to me. Do the pops feel like someone pulled and let go of a guitar string? not sure if that makes sense but I get that sensation. Also, if you tap on the inside of your srist, almost the heel of your hand (by the palm) and pain shoots into your middle finger & first finger & thumb, there is a good chance that it's CTS. that is a test they do for CTS.
Avatar n tn I had LRTI (ligament reconstruction tendon interposition) surgery on Nov. 2, 07. I had profound arthritis in the right basal thumb joint. Almost 3 months later, I still have a lot of pain especially if I accidently bump it. I cannot bend the joint. I went through therapy and have done therapy at home on a consistent basis. I can turn the key in the car ignition but that is about the extent of use. I can't lift anything requiring my wrist or finger to bend.
1308443 tn?1302693321 Keep your finger in the splint and also take pain killers and apply ice packs to decrease the pain and inflammation. Take care!
Avatar f tn It's more than likely just ligament pain. However, for me, it turned out to be I had a cyst. I'm trying not to worry you, just speaking from my experience. Sometimes those things happen, but more than likely it's probably just ligament pain!
1308443 tn?1302693321 My finger was injured in November the doctor told me in January that it wasn't currently broken. It was crooked and it kept getting worse so I went to the athletic director at school. He told me that it was broken at some point. He had me soak my hand in hot water and stretch it. Then I went back to him and told him that it was hurting worse. It was straight but the joint in the middle was loose. He had me splint it and it's been a week and a half since then.
Avatar f tn Since you have pain right up to your fingers, you could be suffering from Scalene Myofascial Pain Syndrome. When scalene muscle is the cause of pain, the pain is referred from neck to (either all or a combination of) chest, inner lining of scapula (shoulder bone), shoulder, posterior and lateral sides of the arm right up to the thumb and index finger.
Avatar m tn So recently I've been having some increasing cracks and weird feelings and some pain whenever I do any exercise that requires pressure on my right elbow. I don't go to the gym but I have P90-X. I'm also on the computer for 4-6 hours daily for work, school, and some gaming. I was thinking it could be from working too hard or being on the computer to much.
