I'm a 28 year old female and I have been having swelling, stiffness and pain of my right index finger knuckle for over 2 years. It started off as a little right itchy bump on my knuckle (it kind of looked like a welt) and it felt like it was on fire. I noticed it would flare up when it would rain and there was high humidity. From there it has progressed to swelling and it is usually stiff. It has been swollen for so long now that it has started to deform my joint.
I'm 28 and I have joint pain in my finger joints and I feel it in my wrists sometimes too. And in the digits of my feet (I think).
I have no RF in my blood and the doctor said just take Ibuprofen.
I am slightly over weight because of bulimia.
I've had gluten sensitivity problems (makes me sluggish and hungry).
AND labyrinthitus in the past months.
No thyroid problems. Not diabetic.
Feeling it might be Fibromyalgia ?
I'm lost.
FOR PAST 1 1/2 YR I AM SUFFERING FROM ACUTE JOINTS PAIN.MY FINGER,HAND,KNEE,ANKLE & SHOULDER ARE EFFECTED.PAIN IS SHIFTING FROM ONE TO ANOTHER JOINT.ALL MY TESTS INCLUDES LIPID PROFILE WAS OK,URIC ACID IS 5.3,RH FACTOR IS NEGATIVE, SUGAR LEVEL WAS OK.INSPITE IF I CONSUME PROTIEN BASED FOOD OR PANEER , CURD WITHIN 5 - 6 HOURS MY JOITS USE TO SWELL AND FREEZES ,WITH DIFFICULT TO MOVEMENT. PLS HELP.
Recently my joints on my right fingers just the 2-5th fingers at the proximal interphalangeal joints were swollen. They stayed swollen for about 3 weeks now and they are now just going down. When I would hit my fingers by mistake they would hurt so bad. The throbbing pain was undescribable. A few of my fingers look like they have little black dots on them. As if I was stuck by a pin and there was a scab that built. thats how small the dots are. They arent on all 4 of my fingers.
I was diagnosed with MS in August of this year and this finger pain was one of the earliest symptoms after I fainted in Feb (but had no idea that was anything serious) - I went to a rheumatologist for the finger pain and he couldn't find anything but did think I had carpal tunnel and the nerve test for that is what started me on the path to a MS diagnosis.
I too have had rashes on my joints for years. I have mentioned it to doctors at times and they never have any idea. I guess that is usually what happens to me when I go to the doctor, I am always a mystery. I get bumps on my knuckles, elbows and sometimes my knees or wrists. It have just learned to live with it and generally doesn't bother me to much but I have always wondered why just my joints. Let me know if you ever find anything out.
I posted prior about pain in my knuckle starting in my left index finger knuckle. Since then, in early January of this year it transferred to the opposite knuckle. I went in to get tests done and they came back negative for RA, OA, and gout. Everything looked good on the x-rays and there was no cartilage worn down on the joints. Since I got it tested, the pain has continued to transfer to surrounding knuckles but not to the same pain level as the original left index finger knuckle.

I'm a healthy 24 years old male, from about 5 weeks ago, i've been noticing a weird feeling in ONLY in my MCP joints in both hands (my left hand more than my right hand, i'm right-handed) when i wake up in the morning or after some rest. They feel "too relaxed"/sleepy, and as i bend then straighten my fingers (intentionally slowly and softly), my MCP joints MILDLY behave like a switch; this feeling is only in my MCP joints.
m told I will have to have joint replacement due to extensive damage to my knuckles and joints. The pain and swelling are horrible and I can not move nor feel my ring finger still. Is this normal for tendon damage being repaired? If I would of known this would be so painful I never would of gone through with surgery.
t bad and the dull pain comes and goes. my finger (middle finger first joint) is still painful ( maybe a 2 on a scale to 10).
Here's the kicker. I just found out my wife (42rs old) has been feeling the same thing in her left shoulder and left hand with some soreness for about two months now. Same spot on the left shoulder, however her pain is on the back side of her left hand near her knuckles.
I had my annual physical back in December 2008. My CBC is fine.
Starting from six months ,I suffer continuous disturbing pain at different parts of my body.specially at joints of my finger ,muscles of my legs and top of my foot.Those parts where i have pain has no swelling and color change. when i fell pain in my finger joint when i press forcefully, it sounds and i got relief at that particular area.And at those particular muscles with pain when i try to massage it i fill pain with some relief. Please any one who can help me ?
I have had type 1 diabetes for 38 years (I'm 48) with only eye complications (cataracts and minimal hemorrhaging - sight is 20/20 corrected). However, over the past year, I've had pain / stiffness in my left shoulder, wrist, elbow, hip, knee, and ankle..and it's getting worse, impacting everything I do. The pain worsens only AFTER I've done a simple activity including walking down the hall, typing on the computer, or lying flat.
The pain is only when I try to fully bend my middle right finger and, to a lesser extent, the right ring finger. The pain seems to be worst between the middle and top joints when attempting a full bend of those fingers.
Duration: about a month now. What can I do for it? I’ve tried soaking the right hand in Epsom salts a couple times and while that feels good during the soak, it seems to be a short-term help and I can't tell there's been much improvement really.
I fell at a baseball game around 6 weeks ago, I fell on my hand and fingers were bent back under me. I had x-rays done and have 2 small fractures in Pinki finger, However, My pointer finger 2ND joint is twice the normal size, skin keeps peeling off, and I can't fully straighten it out. Also, the back of my hand and palm swell when I use them for a period of time. The pain in my hand is about a 6 on pain scale. I have been to the Dr. twice now. I ice it and massage it as best I can tolerate.
