For me this started about 5 weeks ago, with a patch of thick, rough skin that grew on the first finger of the right hand. It is only on the palmar surface of my hand, and is now on my thumb, as well as the pointer of the other hand. My skin cracks and bleeds, and it's a pain in the butt. Both pointer fingers feel funny, exactly like you described, as if I got them into some superglue. For me this occured congruently with swelling of the joints in my hands...

I hit the side of my hand where the little finger is with a door very hard 5 weeks ago while playing with my kid, I fell down and my hand hit the door, when that happened it did not hurt much, it moves fine, but now after 5 weeks it is hurting more, when I pull the little finger back my hand hurts, and now the pain is going a little up my arm between my hand and the elbow, it worries me, shouldn't the pain be gone by now, it didn't almost hurt at the beginning, could it be a fracture?

Nothing on my nails just finger tips. No pain just noticed them their about two weeks ago. I do however smoke and have a heart murmur, could this be low blood circulation?

But hurt all day and today it is swollen from little finger down along the outside of my hand and pain is much worse. I didn't hit my hand, so do not hink it is a broken bone....but I've had a broken thumb previously and pain & swelling are similar. Help!!!

It is not as likely that your problem is carpel tunnel if you only have pain on the pack of your hand. It could still be a tendinitis, even though the pain is dorsal. The hand is very complex and their are a number of conditions that effect it's function. I still suggest you follow the RICE protocol. It may offer some pain relief and avoid any injury to the part. And you certainly need to have a CT or MRI of your hand.

m a house painter and recently brought my hand down onto the sharp point of one of my painting tools. It cut into the side if my rt hand middle finger, middle joint (between the knuckle and the lower joint) It bled a bit and swelled up of course. That was over two weeks ago. I still have noticable swelling in that joint, especially on the rt side, and considerable pain. The rest of my hand hurts lately, probably from compensating for the lack of use of the middle finger. Any ideas?

My hand was stuck in my coat pocket and when I fell I landed on it, palm side up. I now have pain on the palm side of my hand near my thumb. I can move my thumb using my other hand, but I can't stretch it out all the way from the rest of my fingers on its own. I don't have alot of swelling or discoloration. I does hurt more when its not elevated, and my hand feels a bit weak. Do I need xrays, or should I just ice it and wait a few days since there is no swelling?

I experience a stabbing, take my breath away pain in my left hand in the area of the palm just below the ring finger. This pain is searing and does not last more than a few seconds. Sometimes within a brief span there will be repeated incidents. Sometimes there is only one incident. It happens irregularly. I have not been able to discern a pattern regarding onset. I have been fully examined by a doctor, an internist, and he did not identify the cause.

When I attempt to bend my finger it hurts like crazy, this feels almost like a hair bump on the inside of my hand. Very uncomfortable. This bump doesn't have a head to it like other bumps I've experienced in the past.

I remember it being called arteriovenous hemangioma, and I have been told it is quite a rare condition. I'm just over 34 weeks. For the last week or so, I've been waking up in the middle of the night and morning to really bad finger pain that lasts for aw hile! It's hard to bend my fingers and sometimes they make a popping feeling when I bend them. Middle three fingers on each hand are the worst. During the day, they're not "as" sore, but still a little. I can't seem to find anything about this in my baby books. My hands don't look swollen. Anyone else have this??
