Wow, you described me all most exactly with most of those symptoms. that's amazing! You said you had a finger swelling with pain. Was it one finger or multiple. I've had my middle finger in my left finger swelling for over a year now. The doctors said it was psoriatic arthritis, but it's just one finger (and yes I do have psoriasis which has gotten a heck of a lot worse and spread over the last year).
t bad and the dull pain comes and goes. my finger (middle finger first joint) is still painful ( maybe a 2 on a scale to 10).
Here's the kicker. I just found out my wife (42rs old) has been feeling the same thing in her left shoulder and left hand with some soreness for about two months now. Same spot on the left shoulder, however her pain is on the back side of her left hand near her knuckles.

I dislocated my pinky finger 5 weeks ago. From joint to tip was perpendicular to bottom of finger. Was so horrified, I pulled up and put it back in place and iced it, but hurt so badly I went to the ER. X-ray showed no break and they said I did a really good job (straight). Taped it to a splint and told me to ice every 2 hours for 20 minutes and wear splint for 2 days.
ve been having minor pain in the smallest joint on my fourth finger on my right hand. Because I work seven days a week during the school year, I never saw the doctor. But it started getting worse. m a house painter and recently brought my hand down onto the sharp point of one of my painting tools. It cut into the side if my rt hand middle finger, middle joint (between the knuckle and the lower joint) It bled a bit and swelled up of course. That was over two weeks ago. I still have noticable swelling in that joint, especially on the rt side, and considerable pain. The rest of my hand hurts lately, probably from compensating for the lack of use of the middle finger. Any ideas?

I have no RF in my blood and the doctor said just take Ibuprofen.

I'm 4 weeks out from anterior cervical fusion of 5/6, 6/7 & 7/8 with typical screws & plate.My headaches are gone!!! My neck feels great with some soreness and problems swallowing still which I think is typical. My problems started about 3 days after surgery with awful pain in the whole right shoulder, bicep and running down rt arm to thumb and pointer finger. My thumb feels like it's on fire! My meds were Hydrocodone and Valium for he pain and cramps in my biceps.
When there is a capsular injury to a joint in finger, it is best to give the RICE treatment for a few days such as rest, ice application, compression bandage (you can strap the injured finger with the neighboring finger) and elevation (keep hands elevated on a pillow at bed time). The 1st knuckle on my index finger is pretty swollen, stiff and has a fair amount of pain when I bend or touch it. I have already been to urgent care, and was told it was not infected due to no heat or redness. I was given Ibuprofen and a splint, told to follow up tomorrow if no improvement. They sugest bloodwork to test for uric acid or arthritis.
any amount of swelling in a small joint such as a finger joint can cause quite a bit of discomfort. It sounds like you "jammed" the joint(s). It can take a long time to resolve. Like 6-9 months. You could try soaking it in hot water to loosen things up and try to pull and put tension on the finger to loosen up the joint. Pull the finger slowly, steadily, and gently straight out. I have found this can help loosen it up and relieve some pressure in the joint.
The symptoms just started three months ago, twitching of the web between my thumb and index finger, twitching of my eye, soreness under my knee and muscles, now my arm is really weak and sore. I'm really happy I found this site and hope I get some answers or advice.
