Finger joint itching

Common Questions and Answers about Finger joint itching

finger

For at least a year now, I have these instances where a spot on my left index finger (at the joint near the tip of my finger) starts to itch. It itches for up to a couple of weeks, and then it stops for a few weeks, only to start again. It's only this spot, and always this spot. There's no rash (only redness because I scratch it) and no blisters, but while this is going on the skin on this spot feels very dry, no matter how much lotion I use. Any advice? Thanks!
Help! I had pain and itching in the same time in my fingers and toes for 3 months. Skin become hard, cracking and swellen nearby.. Doctor gave antifugus drug, found no use, then Doctor changed to Hydrocotizon, Fluocinonide, trifluocinonide. it reduced pain and itchinging, But 3 months passed. The infacted area has been increased a lot. Before this symptom, I had joint pain, but since this skin disease come out, joint pain stopped.
Of course, I've had the usual side effects (dryness, depression, lethargy.) My main problem now is severe joint pain. I lift weights 5x per week. I don't want to stop working out, but my right elbow and both shoulders are killing me! Has anyone had experience with this and can you recommend medicine or treatment for the joint pain? I employ high intensity training (low reps, hight weight) but can change my lifting to lighter weight, with higher weights. But I can not stop lifting.
For those who don't remember me , i am 37years old male suffering from Hashimoto's for last 3 years and suffering from many symptoms, i must admit lot better then before but again not feeling same way as before . and I am desperately trying to figure out why I continue to break out in hives and have joint pain in my elbows, feet, hands and legs. I too started breaking out in hives after taking the antibotic Solodyn for acne. After a trip to the ER, it was assumed that I had an alergic reaction to the medicine. I stopped taking the medicine after only 3 weeks and needless to say, I am still breaking out in hives and have joint pain. I have been tested for allergies and that was negative.
I have a rash, it consists of 3 or 4 red bumps on the middle joint of my middle finger and now I also have two bumps on my index fingers on both hands and some bumps on my elbow. They are a little Itchy and kind of painful, and look sort of like blisters. Does this sound like what you've experienced? I'm hoping you can help shed some light on my situation. I appreciate your help!
I'm assuming this may be a minor problem. About five days ago, my right index finger felt very slightly odd near the bottom of the tip joint/middle bone area (the "palm side" of my finger). I can't describe it any more than that; I just knew something wasn't right. Then I noticed that it was slightly swollen. I would never have noticed this if it didn't feel slightly weird. (The weird feeling is also rarely noticed, or is gone entirely.
Don't let anyone try to convince you that the flu-like symptoms, muscle aches, joint pain, muscle numbness and tingling, severe itching etc... is not related to your herpes. I know mine is. I say BullS#!T to anyone that says it is not. Come walk in my shoes when I am having an episode that can last anywhere from 2 weeks to over a month. Not fun folks. And don't even hope for a cure. These pharmaceutical companies are making billions. Yes billions treating herpes.
It started at the middle of my cuticle on the middle finger and as slowly crept it's way to the right side tip across to the left side and down to the first joint on the left side finger. This time they started off very Itchy and tiny little blisters. They merged together to form .5cm large, painful, Itchy blisters. At first, the blisters remained in their clusters, but this time there's a cluster on each part of the left side of the middle finger.
I've had a few episodes since then, and it's now on my right index finger near the first joint, but it's never as bad as that day. Most times it doesn't itch, and it's only a tiny bit tender. Mine don't dry up and get hard, they seem to just disappear.
I have the same problem on the Pad of my right Thumb and the side of the middle joint of my right index finger. it started as only the Thumb but then it appeared to spread to the index finger and now it's worse there. It does not itch though; just very dry, hard, and flaky, and eventually cracks. no matter what lotions I use it does not go away.
water which was in Copper container whole night.
I'm 24 years old this month, female, I live on the west coast where it's always mild and cool for the most part, and NOTHING I do will stop my legs from itching. I lived in the midwest for awhile and noticed my legs itched a lot more there with the humidity, but it didn't stop when I moved back home. It's so bad it wakes me up a lot during the night.
Pain sometimes burning pain in my thighs, genitals. Itching as well and that clammy feeling. For me though this all began exactly a week after having sex. I have been to my family doctor and 2 urologists. Have been tested and retested for STD's. None present. Was curious as to whether you had seen any folliculitis(infected hairs) anywhere below the waist. These can somtimes be painful. I do suffer from this. Every winter it seems to creep up. Just a thought.
Many do not realize that what they think is joint pain may not be caused from within the joint, unless there is physical joint damage or Rheumatoid. Referred pain simply means pain felt in a different area from its true origin. Knee, ankle and shoulder pain is usually from tight muscles (nearby or far) pulling on a joint, so that's where you feel it. Loosening the muscle (if it wont stretch) via acupressure or trigger point release can relieve joint and muscle pain.
I developed the numb and wrinkled finger tips after being sick with a fever after reacting to a pneumonia injection. I also have joint paint in my finger. I went to a hand specialist and was tested for carpal tunnel. Tests came back posititive showing nerve restriction in all finger tips. Doctor said it was carpal tunnel. Surgery is scheduled in four weeks. For the last couple of weeks I have also had joint pain in my toes.
)) start to have two smallish lumps on it (also on the joint closer to the palm). Its gone down a bit since then, but now the pinky is itching me very much. I'm a bit worried about what it may be. Some things to consider are that my hands are always cold, I live in a cold area (and even with gloves my hands feel cold), and me posture isn't always that good when I'm using the computer (which I use quite often).
Hi I was currently had the same problem. Out of no where my body started itching. The doctor diagnosised it as demertitis. I had the same symptoms as your son, no visible signs of anythings. My doctor suggest benadryl, and told me to take two hydroxine at night. She doesn't have an idea what it is. She told me if its still bothering me in three days, to come back to see her.

Now 5 days latter I am have some major joint pains in my middle finger and its still a little swollen and righted skinned and difficult to bend. What can I do to get the swelling to go away and the joint pain to stop.

Then, a day or two later, I developed three + red painful bumps, one right below my nail on my right pinky finger, one on the upper joint of my left middle finger, and one of the upper joint of my left ring finger. The pain isn't that bad -- the bumps are just sensitive and hurt a bit when touched. There is no itching at all, or burning, etc. Just a sensitivity/slight pain. I had this happen a few months ago, and it started like this and then more painful bumps appeared.
specifically, the two finger joints of the pinky, the top joint of the ring finger, the central joint of the middle finger and sometimes the knuckle and central joint of the index finger. My Thumb's central joint can be popped but causes no pain or tightness. Pressing my hand flat on a surface and forcing it to remain there causes tightness at the wrist and I can feel what can only be described as a 'spring effect' at the knuckles when I release.

Burning and itching sansation in the skin whole body. cramps and flickering jolts in the soles and feet finger tips. I had severe abdominal pain due to Duodinitis 4 years back. Arthur Ritis has been known to take us from joint to joint. We never know which joint is next. Sorry, a little humor. MSM has been known to help with arthritis pain because it cuts down on the inflammation. I have recently started taking it myself, as I have Fibromyalgia and anything that cuts inflammation is okay in my book! If you decide to try it, 1000mg with the meal of your choice is recommended. Hope you feel better soon.
Bumps appear AFTER itching starts, but itching continues. The thing is, the places that itch THE MOST relatively, have no bumps, and only after a day or two of scratching do the bumps appear (and continue with itching, but a little less than before). Note: I was itching insanely for 6 days, and now it has subsided considerably (but not completely, and any place I scratch still has the feeling of "this place is Itchy").
Exactly after one month of stopping treatment, I started to feel this very light pain in the same joint of the same finger. I also have to add that I am not drinking fluides as I used to do during treatment. Do you think that this coming back light pain is an indication of a relapse. I am preparing myself already to this possiblity but I wish that I can read your opinions about that. Thanks a lot.
