Avatar n tn In June I had implants for dentures. The implants are made of titianium. I have had a rash and itch since the third week of the implants. I have never had an allergy to anything before. Could this be the cause of the itching? I have had a blood test but did not do an allgery test. Is this soimething I need to do?
Avatar f tn ve been having minor pain in the smallest joint on my fourth finger on my right hand. Because I work seven days a week during the school year, I never saw the doctor. But it started getting worse. It hurts, if my fist is closed, to bump the knuckle from above. It also hurts to stretch my fingers out (laying flat is okay, but if I try to stretch them at all, it hurts).
Avatar f tn All of a sudden the piece of skin in between my thumb and finger has become stiff. I don't think it would be trigger finger but i might be wrong. It won't go either. What can I do? It's hard to stretch my thumb away from the hand and spread my fingers without it hurting.

Avatar m tn m a house painter and recently brought my hand down onto the sharp point of one of my painting tools. It cut into the side if my rt hand middle finger, middle joint (between the knuckle and the lower joint) It bled a bit and swelled up of course. That was over two weeks ago. I still have noticable swelling in that joint, especially on the rt side, and considerable pain. The rest of my hand hurts lately, probably from compensating for the lack of use of the middle finger. Any ideas?
Avatar m tn I'm 28 and I have joint pain in my finger joints and I feel it in my wrists sometimes too. And in the digits of my feet (I think). I have no RF in my blood and the doctor said just take Ibuprofen. I am slightly over weight because of bulimia. I've had gluten sensitivity problems (makes me sluggish and hungry). AND labyrinthitus in the past months. No thyroid problems. Not diabetic. Feeling it might be Fibromyalgia ? I'm lost.
Avatar f tn I have saline breast implants over the muscle. They will be ten yrs old in march. over the past six months nearly every bone & joint in my body has started hurting. I'm having chest wall pain and if I don't wear a bra every second, it feels as if my left breast is actually pulling the muscles away from my rib cage. My left breast also feels bruised on top. I don't think it's changed size, and I don't feel a lump.

1427077 tn?1282913207 I have a lump on the top joint of my index finger which has been there for about 2 months now. Sometimes its sore but now always & its starting to get bigger. Is it worth getting it checked out?
Avatar f tn My front tooth has been capped for 2 years and has had a root canal for 31 years. About 6 months ago it began to throb a little and I noticed a bad smell when I rubbed my finger on it or flossed. I went to a periodontist who opened up the gum and cleaned it out, that lasted for about 1 month, and then the smell came back. My dentists feels the root may be cracked and suggests an implant at this point since the tooth has been dead for 31 years.
Avatar n tn When there is a capsular injury to a joint in finger, it is best to give the RICE treatment for a few days such as rest, ice application, compression bandage (you can strap the injured finger with the neighboring finger) and elevation (keep hands elevated on a pillow at bed time). You can also take an anti-inflammatory pain killer. Once the injury settles down and there is less pain you have to start physiotherapy.
Avatar n tn I had saline implants done in 05- all of sudden after that I developed arthritis in my fingers. Could the implants be the cause.
Avatar f tn any amount of swelling in a small joint such as a finger joint can cause quite a bit of discomfort. It sounds like you "jammed" the joint(s). It can take a long time to resolve. Like 6-9 months. You could try soaking it in hot water to loosen things up and try to pull and put tension on the finger to loosen up the joint. Pull the finger slowly, steadily, and gently straight out. I have found this can help loosen it up and relieve some pressure in the joint.
Avatar n tn You could have injured interphalangeal joint of your finger. The multiple joint involvement could also be due to infection or due to reactive arthritis. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
Avatar m tn Wish you had received an answer I have the same symptom. Index finger near the joint with a burning sensation, not when touching it but when carrying a plastic shopping bag or when my purse handles lay across the finger between the first and middle knuckle.
Avatar n tn punctured my finger in the joint and now it is swollen and I cant bend it and it really is painful I dont know what to do
Avatar f tn I see a specialist in TMJ who tells me my case is very severe and he has been urging me for at least a year to get a full surgical joint surgery with new implants. I have heard awful things about that type of surgery. I feel like I haven't heard anything positive. I know when I see him, he is frustrated because my jaw hardly opens and it sounds like crumbling rocks, no more popping, that was the good ole days. His frustration is that I won't give in to surgery.
Avatar n tn last one week i have joint pain in hand, leg and finger also, i have take 4 or 5 times sex with lady with condoms, any problem in HIV
Avatar f tn I dislocated my PIP joint on my ring finger 2 weeks ago. It was reduced at the hospital and I went to the hand clinic 24 hours later. They said it was doing ok and I didn't need to go back unless there was a problem with it. I was told to keep it buddy strapped for 2 weeks. I now have the buddy strapping off. The finger isn't that painful unless I bump the joint accidentally. I'm a little concerned as I can't fully straighten it or bend it more than halfway.
Avatar m tn My ring finger got pulled looked swollen at first which it was now after a couple of weeks the swelling stopped and my finger looks broken but I can move it just not bend it down all the way or else it starts hurting It also has a bump .
Avatar f tn I am now on Atenenol for BP and tachycardia but I still have chest pain/pressure (which is constant) and the tingling in my left arm. On a side note, I also have breast implants which I have had for 12 years now. I have been reading about the correlation between breast implants and connective tissue disease, now I am concerned. Does anybody have a similar situation or comments on what is wrong with me? I am fearful and tired of feeling this way! Thank you for any advice or feedback!
Avatar f tn Last surgery was 06/2009. This was my breast reconstruction with silicone implants. After that surgery my fatigue severely increased to the point I could not stay awake at work, in the car, In Sept. I finally was sent for sleep study and DX with severe sleep apnea and PLM. Cpap has helped this alot. Even with Cpap still fatigued at work where I was still falling asleep talking to people and still driving issues. Currently on large doses of Adderall and Pravogil to help me stay awake.
Avatar n tn When i bend my finger up and down and touch the joint of the finger with the hard lump on it , it seems like the lump seems to stay on the joint and it moves just a little, when i press on it. And also, when i press on the hard knot on the finger joint, it feels kind of like the joint is bigger on the outside under the skin in the joint. I think it burns now a little when i start pressing on the knot really much.
Avatar m tn I have treated twice for Hep C once for 15 mo standard Interferon and Rib, second time for 7 mo with addition of Alinia stopping Jan of 09. I have severe loss of finger joint movement in both hands. started 3 or 4 months after final treatment. My ortho guy doesn't see any structural damage or signs of arthritis .Could there be tie to the Hep C or treatment??
Avatar n tn the injury occured in the middle joint, joint that is above the knuckle. However on the inside of this joint (facing the middle finger) it looks bulged or rounded. I traced my finger over it and it is definitely rounded and very hard. I know the joints are naturally a bit roundish on the outside but this is large compared to the ring finger on my right hand. Also looking at it you can see the bulging. I was wondering if this is bone or a bone I was feeling?
