Hi ladies - I'm pregnant with my first and my husband and I are going in for the big anatomy ultrasound on Thursday (I'll be exactly 20 weeks). I'm wondering what it's like and what should I expect? I have heard that they take a bunch of pics of the baby's heart, so not to get freaked out if they are looking at it for a while. So they basically look at everything from head to toe, right? What else should we expect?
Of course I am freaking out so I got on the computer and looked at pictures of ulcers to pictures of oral cancer and from what I saw it looks nothing like an ulcer or sore or anything like the horrible pictures. I can only feel it with my tongue so I ran my finger over the area and I can't feel any lumps or bumps. The color is normal (light pink) and it changes color from light pink to a darker pink then back to light pink again when I press on it or rub over it with my tongue.
Im 22 weeks, and my doctor hasnt given me like any good pictures of the baby. Just pictures of his gender . And I always see everyone else with really good ones, even at early stages. Do you have to pay extra for those or ask him ? Please help, hes our first child and we want good ones to show to our families.

So I go in for my anatomy Scan on the 24th I'm just wondering why this one can take an hour and what there looking for and if they can tell me the gender of the baby?
In my experience, the tech/doctor really takes the time to get all the pictures to do a full anatomy check. If you want to know the gender, they really take time and make an effort to get to the right angle to see. Depending if your baby is awake or asleep, cooperative or not, your appointment can be short or very long.
My baby was not cooperative. She kept turning her back to us and was curled up like a ball. The tech took a lot of time to try different angles, and massage and push my belly.
Yes a very in depth ultrasound done about mid way through pregnancy. They will look at every body part of your baby (looking at the baby's anatomy).
I have recently begun experimenting with anal stimulation on my 19-year-old boyfriend by penetrating his anal cavity with my finger. I went for my anatomy ultrasound on the 28th. The baby was being very active and would not open legs. We couldn't even get a 3D pic because the baby was moving around so much. We were so happy though! I had tears in my eyes and so didy fiance. Such a precious moment watching our little love move around and be so active! Ultrasound tech said (and showed us) she seen what looked to be the 3 bones of the vagina.
when do I get my second ultrasound and will I be able to get pictures of it? I am 9 weeks today and I had my first vaginal ultrasound at 6 weeks to confirm. I have thyroid problems and seeing the dr for that on the third, but my prenatal visit is for the 21st.b they also mentioned because of my weight I have top be careful for gestational diabetes..does that make any difference in ultrasound?

Has anyone elses doctor just given you free 3D pictures? I knew my doctor was cool. But then hes like wanna play.. and im like.. uhhhm. Sure. And he started doing 3D and he was poking and playing with the baby.. it was adorable. Anyone elses doctor done that?
I leave for my anatomy scan in about an hour and I'm a little apprehensive bc my husband has to work and won't be there with me (he's been to every appointment and was at my first us scan).
What do they do and how long does it take? How many pictures did they give you after yours?

So my first anatomy scan I was 18 weeks now I'm almost 22 weeks and I have another scan tommarow. They didn't get all the pictures of the heart they needed. So excited to see my Silas Sagain!! hopefully he is still a boy bc they didn't get a Good look at the boy parts the...
Don't worry! I went at 18 weeks for my anatomy scan and had been called back cause they needed a better look at her kidneys. If everything else came back normal, try not to worry.
I'm seeing an OBGYN he's kinda weird and maybe a little off but I see my Baby once a month with printer pictures and everything so I won't change because I love seeing my baby, and Most doctors don't do it that often or print you pictures every time
