Avatar m tn s so much sharper), and colors seem just a bit dimmer in the affected eye. Since the injury I have gone to the opthalmologist 3 times, each time with a different doctor. Each told me nothing physically seemed to be wrong with the eye. What's the chances all three of them missed an early stage of macular degeneration?
Avatar f tn I have recently begun experimenting with anal stimulation on my 19-year-old boyfriend by penetrating his anal cavity with my finger. About 2-3 inches in my finger comes into contact with something small, smooth, kind of pointy-ish, and kind of hard-ish (feels almost similar to cartilage but not quite). I don't know what this is and I don't know if it is something normal or something to be concerned about.
Avatar f tn It has been three months since the injury and the pain is still the same. It hurts when I hold my finger and move it side to side and up and down and also when pressure is applied. It also hurts between the knuckle and the beginniing part of my finger when pressure is applied. Also it hurts on my knuckle when pressure is applied. Should I get it looked again right away? Both my middle knuckle and the knuckle on my pointer finger still looks enlarged. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar f tn Last year in July I hurt my ring finger on my right hand. It was due to catching a ball which struck the finger. I had pain throughout the finger, couldn't bend the joint closest to the finger nail. Xrays were taken at the ER and they suspected a crack on top of the joint that is located above the knuckle and also to the inside of this same joint (facing the middle finger). I did see my family doctor a week later and another xray was taken.
Avatar n tn When there is a capsular injury to a joint in finger, it is best to give the RICE treatment for a few days such as rest, ice application, compression bandage (you can strap the injured finger with the neighboring finger) and elevation (keep hands elevated on a pillow at bed time). You can also take an anti-inflammatory pain killer. Once the injury settles down and there is less pain you have to start physiotherapy.
1524304 tn?1326396974 In all probability you have soft tissue injury. Take an anti-inflammatory and see. If the injury is 24 hours old apply ice wrapped in cotton cloth and if it is older, dip hand in warm water. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Do consult your doctor. Take care!
Avatar n tn The pain could be due to tendonitis (inflammation of tendon), ligament injuries, or muscle injury. Usually the popping sound indicates a ligament or tendon injury. You need to apply ice pack, give rest to the fingers, and take non-steroidal anti-inflammatory such as tylenol, ibuprofen, or naproxen. Please consult your doctor regarding this. You may need an X-ray and MRI. Take care!
Avatar n tn Hi. I have not had sex with a partner, but want to start masturbating. Your innies an outies was very helpful, but I'm a little concerned. I stuck my finger in like it suggested, and I feel a kind of ring at the beginning, which I think is the hymen. Then, my finger seems to go straight back into an open space, and pokes what feels like my rectum. (path 1) There is also another thing that feels like a tight ring, but is smaller than the tip of my finger.
Avatar n tn Radiofrequency ablations produce tissue death through hyperthermic injury. RF ablation produces thermal injury through the use of alternating electric current Cryoablation is an alternative to causing thermal injury to tissue through heating, cryoablation destroys tissue by delivering subfreezing temperatures via probes through which a cryogen is circulated.
Avatar m tn Subsequently I was advised wax bath for the finger and a finger splint has been made to be worn on the finger. I am wearing the splint for past 2 days. When worn, it seems that the finger has somewhat improved. But after being taken out, the finger goes back to the bent position gradually with swelling still appearing. It has been almost 2 months now and I am worried about my finger. The finger is curved/bent and there has been swelling. Does anyone have any thoughts/advise for my finger ?
5394463 tn?1367323852 If the X-ray was normal, then the finger could be swollen with limited movement due to injury to soft tissue, tendons and ligaments. A MRI should be done and also nerve conduction study. Please discuss with your doctor. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you. The advice may not be completely correct for you as the doctor cannot examine you and does not know your complete medical history.
Avatar f tn material if you will. ive had many stiches and some were placed on my middle finger on the middle knuckle and there was a small peice of stuture left in there. now that part of my finger, on top, has a puss pocket that pops all the time and stings a bit but the worst part is that my finger looks jammed. It looks like there is a lot of swelling just in the middle joint but there is no bruising just slight redness. Non of my other fingers are like that.

Avatar n tn The middle finger (not injured either) will bend but the joint closest to the nail will not curl under. Thumb and Index are fine. I was wondering if there is an injury to one finger can it affect the other fingers beside it?

Avatar f tn But I still have numbness in the pinky finger and it feels cold compared to other 3. Also tip of the pinky finger hurts a lot and I see a tiny red spot on the nail. What exactly is going on? I have sensation and i can also move that finger. Its just the tip that hurts.
1336836 tn?1275740921 What could cause my index finger to be numb and tingle when touching the joint of the finger?
Avatar n tn It appears that could be due to vitamin deficiency leading to neuropathy, injury to a nerve, pressure on spinal or peripheral nerves (neuropathy), lack of blood supply due to cholesterol plaque from atherosclerosis in the extremities, viral infection and use of certain medications. In addition, atherosclerosis can also cause pain, numbness, and tingling while walking and they can also reduce blood supply and lead to numbness.
Avatar f tn Trauma Direct injury to the finger is the most common cause of finger pain in children. Typically, there will be signs of bruising, a cut or a scrape that will help you to detect an injury. Other injuries can be more subtle. If a child complains of pain and you cannot see any injury, be sure to look closely. Use a magnifying glass to look for splinters or foreign objects like glass.

Avatar n tn Those are things that make a difference. Then as much variety as there is in male anatomy, there is in female anatomy. Although I remember one of my sex ed teachers claiming that any male anatomy could work with any female anatomy, I know this is not true. But usually an average male without unusually large girth would be accommodated (and preferred) by most women. I would suggest more foreplay that involves no insertion or touching of her genitalia.
Avatar n tn I had an intial injury to my right foot in April 2010. The injury was sudden and not the product of a determined source (i.e. impact, rolling, twisting). The lateral side of my foot near the 5th metatarsophalangeal joint swelled and bruised immediately. I was unable to seek medical treatment at that time so I rested my foot for 2-3 weeks and the pain dissipated and I was able to return to my usual routine.
Avatar m tn What is axillary nerve injury and could that cause the finger tingle? I did use a sling for the first 4 to 5 weeks after the surgery. The therapy did not begin until after that time and I still used the sling for several weeks into the therapy. I also re injured the shoulder about a year after the surgery, and this did somewhat increase the finger tingling. I'm not trying to blame the surgeon that performed the shoulder surgery for the ulnar nerve issue.
