hi please could some1 help me asap ive had the injections for trigger finger and on the 9th of april this year i had the operation ((worst mistake of my life)) now i have a swollen hand my fingers r swollen and im in alot of pain i get bad cramp in my fingers my partner has to massage my hand and help me with alot of things as my hand feels so weak i cant even write a line on a piece of paper without stopping for a break sometimes i cant move my fingers n i get pain from my hand upto my elbow

It can be caused from even minor injuries and causes severe pain which can spread from the original injury area. It is difficult to confirm and a lot of doctors are not qualified or sensitive enough to look for it. I got the RSD from a finger amputation, and several months after that started having pain in other fingers which spread up my arm,then my whole left side. Does your wife have variances in temperature of her extremities that are affected?

She has been hospitalised twice with septicemia and the drug combinations and anti fungal drugs are too numerous too mention A cut caused by climbing led to osteomyelitlis of her middle finger on her right hand, eventually leading to amputation. First, I understand your frustration. Before I found out what my first trigger finger was, I was fully prepared to request amputation because it was making my entire hand useless. Several years ago I was indirectly struck by lightning on my finger. Ever since I have had severe nerve pain. Cold is simply unbearable let alone if I hit my finger on anything. I have been to several doctors and NO one can help me. I have even attempted accupuncture to no avail. I am currenty taking Lyrica, which helps a little, but not much. I have tried topicals as well. I am to the point where I just want my finger amputated. The pain is just too much!! Any suggestions?

Hey anyone, I dont know what I exactly did to my finger...but I am having pain in my right hand on the last knuckles of the ring and pinky fingers. It hurts when i do just about anything...not extremely painful though. it especially hurts when i push down from the top of the ring and pinky fingers, if i spread the two fingers apart, when i push them together, and when i grip things.

The next day the pain was less but when i pressed on my knuckle i felt 2 bumps, normally i just feel 1 big knuckle. Also when i moved the finger of that knuckle i felt the tendon rub against something. Usually i don't feel this "rubbing". Have i damaged or slightly dislocated a tendon? Hi - I had Guillian Barre in 1993 and then in 1997 I was in auto accident and had a near traumatic amputation of my right arm - they were able to reimplant my arm. But I have terriable hip pain and my right hand/arm hurts all the time. I started going to a new pain dr. We moved from CA to OR and pain is MUCH worse in OR. They tried the neurontin but it made me swell.

I took a puck off of my right index finger and didn't really notice any immediate pain. Over the next couple days I noticed that I couldn't form a fist because my finger was very swollen and hurt to bend that far. Upon further observation I noticed that my first finger knuckle had become very wide, but the rest of my finger remained regular size. It is also very sensitive to touch.

I have had pain in the main knuckle of the middle finger. I cannot pinpoint the exact cause of the injury. about six weeks ago I noticed shooting pain when i pushed the middle finger laterally while isolated from the other fingers across the sides of the knuckle. I have been diagnosed with herpes whitlow in my right ring finger...it is a very insidius disease as it is prone to secondary infections and is very costly due to loss of work and topical and oral treatments.Today I start suppression therapy on Valtrex and Zovirax cream if needed.In the last two years I've had at least ten outbreaks and it is really getting me down. How is your husbands' finger? I also had a glomus tumor on my left ring finger just under the nail bed. I had it removed by surgery and it has now grown back. I was told that this tumor is very had to get completely since it is made up of a bundle of nerves and that there was a possibility that is could grow back. It is now more painful than ever. I bumped it just this weekend on a drawer handle and almost lost it.

Hello! I hope you get a reply for I am going through the same thing with my 70+ yr old Dad! Told he won't live through amputation so he said don't bother but the gangrene in one area is spreading so quickly! Other areas are dry but I am thinking this is wet! It is getting worse everyday! He has dry gangrene that hasn't changed at all! Hospice is involved now....the Hospice nurse hasn't given you any idea? I am told that sepsis is a possibility....

my finger was bleeding a bit and i shaked my hands with a person who was slightly bleeding from his finger and i think he was hiv +ve . Do u think i might get infected.

hiv can only infect a very few, very specific types of cells. these cells are not found in your finger. if you had a cut on your finger larger enough, open enough and bleeding enough to be a real pathway to cells that hiv CAN infect, believe me, you wouldn't be sticking it into some woman's vagina.

I did see a doctor (not a surgeon or specialist) and they told me that the little finger is not an important finger on your hand and a surgeon wouldn't be interested in treating me. I have noticed for the past few months that both fingers but especially my little finger is becoming painful. My little finger stays in a curled position although I wouldn't say it feels really stiff. Could this be some type of tendon problem?

I am looking to find a t-shirt that will fit my dog following a front leg amputation. The sites I've found don't have sizes large enough for my dog, (a big Chesapeake, just under 100 lbs). Any ideas?
