vitamin

1210142 tn?1266077031 t suggest professionalism. Second, info is inaccurate. They claim that their vitamins are natural and others are synthetic. All vitamins are synthetic. There's no Vitamin C floating around loose out there, you have to isolate it from something else. It's usually taken from corn in a chemical process. That's obviously not how it occurs in nature, so it's to a degree synthetic.
Avatar f tn They can be helpful for many things, but I strongly believe exercise should be a natural process, not one pushed by supplements. That becomes unhealthy too much of the time as you move to more and more unnatural supplements that can work but aren't good for you because you aren't satisfied with the slow results that natural processes produce.
Avatar f tn Has anyone tried any natural supplements or vitamins to help with the diarrhea and constant bathroom trips.
Avatar m tn i would suggest ..try taking vitamins and minerals naturally..though fruits vegetables,meat,etc...dont rely on the tablets...
Avatar m tn s important to discuss anything (even natural supplements with a Dr.) Even natural supplements can interact negatively with each other, or other medications you are on. Natural does not mean safe. There is absolutely no scientific evidence that there is anyway to improve egg quality. Women are born with x amount of eggs, and that is what we get. They age just like we do, and that is where chromosomnal abnormalities come into play.
Avatar f tn I'm just curious my husband has been working out and taking vitamins and supplements to help him building up muscle, if I were to become pregnant would that affect the fetus..
Avatar f tn I have been studying natural health and supplements for many years and have found that many over the counter supplements are not worthy of the money spent. A good friend of mine actually has owned a healthfood store for approximately 20 years and has taught me which over the counters are worthy.
Avatar m tn Hi, I got a westie which is now a year old and after trying out different foods like solid gold and wellness, finally found out he got a sensitive stomach and settled with natural balance venison and sweet potato. May I know if he needs additional multi-vitamins or supplements as I don't see any gulccosamin or probiotics from the ingredients and nutrients.
581954 tn?1223391496 Definitely extra calcium and hi-potency B vitamins. Calcium is a natural soother while the B vitamins are great for stress & anxiety. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to do this on the forums but I highly recommend the book Prescription for Nutritional Healing, 4th Edition (Paperback) by Phyllis A. Balch. It is my BIBLE. Talks about all vitamins, minerals, some therapies, and of course over 300 conditions.
Avatar f tn I have taken a host of vitamins & supplements and have tried a lot of what Dr. Nicolson has said above. I have had to take it in large amounts to make me feel a bit better, which for me was quite costly, as I am on a disability pension now and just cannot afford an over amount of supplements. I do have to say that some have helped, and others have not.
486919 tn?1280184140 I want to know, if more strain is put on your liver if you take all your vitamins and supplements all at once and would it be better to spread out your supplements?
Avatar f tn m just passing this on because for the past 35 years I have been a health freak, taking all sorts of vitamins and doing all sorts of extreme health routines and thought I was really helping myself. I believed all the literature I was reading. But it took a doctor who really knows body chemistry to set me straight about HC. I am now on treatment because this Doc told me that if he were me, he would pull out all the stops to get well.
768754 tn?1373918737 I was told to continue taking my normal regimen, which includes a multi, a pretty hefty calcium, vitamin D (I was deficient in that one according to tests ordered by my Primary doc), Omega 3,6, 9, and Green food (usually take if I have been bad with my veggies). I have had vitamins without iron before, look for a men's formula. I have never had problems with anemia, and prefer not to be constipated (side effect of iron), thus the men's vitamins.
1475202 tn?1536270977 I should add that the porta potty theory of vitamins probably does apply to time-release supplements. There's only so much time the body is going to take to digest anything, and then it's going to evacuate it, and that's before time release vitamins release. Still, you'll get something, not nothing. And if you're on medication, be careful with milk thistle. All medication is toxic to some degree, and milk thistle may remove some of it before it can be absorbed.
560272 tn?1311350293 Katie, Folks on this forum have tried a million "natural" supplements, vitamins, herbs and oils and even dancing naked in corn fields.............Some swear by them, some say they are of no use and the jury is still out on many of them. The one and only thing I will advise you about ANY of these things is to consult with your doctor or a chemist befor you take ANYTHING!!!! Especially if you are on a prescription medication.
535882 tn?1396576685 She gives a pretty thorough description of all the natural supplements for anxiety and depression, or not all but the ones she knows about. I managed health food stores for many years, and studied a lot about this subject, but the thing is, everyone's different. What works for one won't necessarily work for another. The other thing with natural products is that herbs and amino acids are generally used in combination, since no one is all that strong.
Avatar m tn Eating whole foods and obtaining your vitamins/minerals are going to be the best option. Even though pill forms of vitamins and minerals seem to be the healthy option, our bodies still have to work to break them down. In most cases, the pill forms are synthetic forms of the vitamins which in the long run are not the best option for your body. What type f diet do you eat?
Avatar m tn I agree with Paxiled on everything about natural supplements and pharmaceutical industry ( $283 billion worldwide in profit by the way ). And this is why you don't see too many doctors recommend the use of vitamins and natural supplements. It is also why you don't see many people get a high dose IV vitamin C treatment to replace or mixed with chemotherapy in cancer treatments. But people are waking up and sooner or later a revolution will happen in the medical field.
Avatar m tn there is a fine balance between minerals, vitamins and herbal supplements. The amounts taken and the combinations there of. I use to sell vitamins, minerals and supplements. Was not keen on supplements... I started to go into a university program to study herbology but got sidetracked. The benefits derived from the above can be found in fresh foods and a healthy diet. It would be great to see everyone cooking and gardening again....this fast and processed food is awful for our systems.
102999 tn?1326855784 I have been taking many supplements and vitamins for many years now at the advisement of a nutritionist/pharmacist in town. I feel some of these have really helped. But not really sure what does what at this point. Drs around here really don't believe in vitamins and the more natural routes. My insurance doesn't cover the docs that deal with it. So it is very difficult to get trustworthy info/advice. Question is...could any of these be aggravating my PACs? Thoughts?
Avatar f tn Organic prenatals, oceans mom dha vitamins, and organic calcium supplements.
492869 tn?1285018933 Are you currently taking any vitamins and/or supplements to treat your Dysautonomia symptoms? Elaborate, or discuss your response below if you will like.
Avatar f tn I take a multivitamin and Vitamin D. None really help MS but your over all health. MSers are not immune to other health problems. It makes life easier if you have few health problems. That is why I am big on a good diet and exercise. When I was first diagnosed I felt these were things I could control. My doctor says I am the healthiest MS and Cancer patient she has seen. No one would know I have either. I also do mindfulness meditation.
Avatar m tn Are there any natural treatments for lyme disease? Can the body over time fight off lyme disease and clear the disease?
Avatar m tn I've been having anxiety for a while come and go after a bad panic attack. I went on vitamin supplements for about a year along with fish oil and then realized I can't take those the rest of my life to cover up this problem. Now I'm off all of the vitamins and now I'm getting more panic attack symptoms. Heart races when talking to certain people, and in nervous situations.
