Fibromyalgia treatment gluten intolerance

Common Questions and Answers about Fibromyalgia treatment gluten intolerance

fibromyalgia

Avatar f tn Well, I have Fibromyalgia, and most people with Fibromyalgia have to be concerned with possibly being diagnosed with MS--initially. Certain foods will still sometimes cause the painful parasthesia, but not always. I have eliminated the majority of the foods that I know cause this. If you have the functional bowel disorder that usually goes with MS, you will probably want to go gluten free and dairy free.
Avatar n tn Hi. Welcome to the forum. My dx. is Fibromyalgia and Gluten Intolerance. I found this forum when I was researching my symptoms - many which sound a lot like MS. Others will certainly be along to help too - but in the meantime I wanted to ask if you have been tested for food allergies? Gluten Intolerance can cause an array of symptoms including nausea and neurological symptoms. The Health Pages located at the top right corner of your screen are a valuable resource.
Avatar f tn Also, if you look up Tyramine Intolerance, which affects people who get migraines and/or IBS, you will find out that gluten intolerance is a part of Tyramine Intolerance. Again, gluten intolerance doesn't necessarily mean Celiac. And, it is a lot more common than many conventional doctors are willing to admit.
Avatar m tn In addition to what Furball's mom suggested, please have yourself evaluated for celiac issues or gluten intolerance. Many of the symptoms you're relating could be present due to intolerance of gluten a substance found in wheat, rye, barley and oats.
Avatar n tn Just the other day I heard that this might be a gluten intolerance and I am considering cutting glutens on a trial basis to see if I feel better. My symptoms are pretty much daily, and I have learned to live with them but I'd rather not!
Avatar n tn m having the herxing symptoms and also because my tachycardia is better and I no longer have an intolerance to gluten ! My good days are also much better now. If you would like links about the protocol and their success stories... let me know. I can send them to you via PM.
5276842 tn?1365878296 I also have oesophagitis and fibromyalgia. I am considering cutting out gluten again as this is the easiest to cut out for now as I also weightlift and use protein powders and eggs for protein. I struggle to get enough protein as it is and have a stock of powders i cannot afford to replace with dairy free options. Any advice you can offer me on relieving symptoms would be great.
Avatar f tn Treatment is slow, but I had made so much progress. As a result, my blood pressure is now stable. My intolerance to gluten has disappeared and my allergies are less severe in general (although still a problem). And for the first time in over 15 years, my periods are NORMAL. I was told that on these pathogen killing treatments, that eventually my hormones would adjust. I was skeptical, but it is true !!!! I know that Dr.
Avatar f tn I myself started to experiment and saw that flank pain and constant coughing started to improve if I eased up on wheat and gluten products. I have been diagnosed with a wheat allergy and gluten intolerance as a child but have not taken it so seriously as an adult. After I started to stay on a strict gluten-free diet, the pain has subsided in about one week's time.
Avatar n tn s patient and also suffering from long term gluten intolerance, I can tell you that the symptoms do decrease when on a gluten free diet. The gluten intolerance is an auto-immune response which sends out anti-bodies into the bloodstream, which of course, also go into the brain, giving rise to many Hashimoto type symptoms. With the body under attack, the immune system tries desperately to compensate, in a never ending 'chasing its tail' kind of impact.
Avatar f tn I do smoke and have had very bad reactiosn during premenstrual times (severe migraines). i have a gluten intolerance and my father suffered severe gout. My cousin has Addisons and my mother Diabetes. I have no idea if this information is useful. but here it is anyway. I also lost my father in March which may mean that the problem is to do with grief? thanks for your help in advance.
Avatar f tn 2 weeks ago I met with a dietician and stated an anti inflammatory diet. I have pulmonary nodules thought to be caused by a gluten intolerance and I cut sugar, dairy, gluten corn, soy etc. a week ago I stopped the Prilosec and I am down to one Zantac 150 per day with very few symptoms. I have a hydrogen breath test tomorrow as my GI feels like my problem isn’t LPR and may be SIBO. I have a HIDA scan Monday to check a distended gallbladder seen on a recent mri to check a simple renal cyst.
Avatar m tn Well since you get bloating and flatulence, more pronounced after a morning ceral of oat and wheat, there is a huge chance that you have gluten intolerance or celiac disease or Non Celiac gluten sensitivity. There are blood tests called celiac test to detect gluten intolerance. You should ideally consult a gastroenterologist (a specialist who looks after the diseases of our digestive system). You can stop the cereals and see if this helps.
Avatar f tn Do you know if renal failure and kidney insufficiency would play a part in either CFS or FMS? I'm trying to find a common link to all the problems I have, and CFS/FMS seems to be the most likely link to all these problems. I'm still trying to figure out if hirutism has any link to the kidney issue, after reading that there is something to do with cortisol, which comes from the adrenal glands that sit on top of the kidneys. Oh, and the painful periods. They sure are!
778037 tn?1377986200 The two are related, but you can have gluten intolerance without having celiac disease. Everyone who has celiac disease has gluten intolerance, but not everyone who has gluten intolerance has celiac disease. I personally have non-celiac gluten intolerance. Non-celiac gluten intolerance can be extremely hard to diagnose.
Avatar n tn I had MRIs, cat scans, went to a nuerologist to diagnose whether I had MS and nothing was discovered. I went to a naturopath who then did a number of tests and came up with an intolerance of gluten and wheat. In fact, I went on a gluten and wheat free diet and almost within a week improved. It took about a year but the twitching went away completely and the tingling I may get very rarely if I have too much wheat.
Avatar f tn A food intolerance or a gallbladder problem can cause nausea after eating.. does the nausea get worse after eating any specific foods? Is it ever accompanied with bloating and pain?
