Where is the pain located?
After the endoscopy we were given the diagnosis of chronic fatigue / fibromyalgia . Having been initially relieved that we finally had a diagnosis we are now starting to think differently. Once you have been tarred with this brush it would appear the doctors are not interested. My concern is how quickly this diagnosis has been made. I've read people can wait years before getting this confirmed as tests for all other conditions are looked into.

Hi lisa, I am 44 and started taking bio-identical progesterone cream in Sept. 2009. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia back in July 2009. I wanted to go the more natural route, without drugs that would hurt my organs. To help my fibromyalgia I started on a strict diet of no sugar, complex carbs, no caffeine, 5 small meals a day, low fat and only good fat like extra virgin olive oil.
There are several things that have helped me. For one thing I try really hard to get a good nights sleep w/o disturbance. I take some supplements that help...5HTP and Melatonin. Both are natural supstances found at the vitamin area at Wal-Mart. My rhematologist sent me to a physical therapist who showed me some exercises. They also did ultrasound and tens unit therapy. But the exercises have really helped. Another tip is, don't overdo. Know when to stop.
Wondering if fibromyalgia may be a consideration. It seems to be a diagnosis that keeps popping up as a post treatment illness and worth discussing with you doctor.
I am curious if what I tell you fits the profile for Fibromyalgia. The lack of fatigue and major sleep issues makes me feel like I may be experiencing something else.
It could be fibromyalgia, I would ask your doctor for an epstein barr blood test and other tests to rule it out.
Also, do you mean treatment for the virus in general or help with treatment while one is takes the medication to treat the virus? Either way there is all kinds of help here and someone may be able to offer more meaningful insight on what you are asking if you could perhaps be a little more specific in your next post.
